This drama was.... Interesting at the first 6 episodes.. But when it reach episode 7... The dragging begins..

Eun Soo was funny, cute, even clumsy to me. She brightens up the scenes of the dark, Goryeo. Princess No Gook? VERY pretty.. I like her melodrama romance story with the king. At first I thought there would be a love triangle between Eun Soo, Choi Young, and Jang Bin. But, I was totally wrong.

The other characters such as Hwa Soo In, Eum Ja (the flute guy), and others were exactly supporting roles who only have 4-9 lines per episodes. And, Choi Sangoong, who was supposed to be only figure role, has a LOT more lines more then them.

I like the mixture of romance, historical, and fantasy in this story. And also in this story we didn't have to worry about 'the changing the history' thing because most of the time Eun Soo act more like a clumsy girl than a doctor.

The ending? Perfect, masterpiece. Of course if you have watch Operation Proposal, Rooftop Prince, Queen Inhyun's Man, and Dr Jin you would be a bit bored of the genre 'time-travelling'. But trust me, this one's different.

Aside from that, I also found this story dragging and sometimes boring of actions and politics scenes, but that's okay. Because ALL historical dramas have those scenes. IF you DONT watch historical/sageuk dramas, better skip this first and watch Dong Yi or Dae Jang Geum. There you will know why the characters are bullshits, lame, but smart.

For me, this drama is like a sequel of Dream High (Dream High 2 sucks for me). The storyline is similar, about students who have opposite characters that find themselves in one group known as Color Bar/Dream High.

Each of the students had interesting past and incredible unknown talents, plus thanks to the writer, this drama never let me look away for a second. The acting for rookies are great, especially Kang Ha Neul who plays Jung Seon Woo and Da Hee who plays Kim Na Na.

The music is good, but not the best. But it's still worth listening but some parts are amazing too.

Overall, this is a good drama and I will probably watch it until the end.

What are you doing? Hurry watch it now!

Story: If you're a fan of Dong Yi and you're secretly a fan of the villain aka Jang Hui Bin, here's the drama for you. Kim Tae Hee offers you the different Jang Hui Bin from the one in Dong Yi. For many years Jang Ok Jung (Hui Bin's real name) has been potrayed as one of the worst female fatales, and this drama potrays her from the different side.
Her relationship with King Sukjong, and the tragedies.
I think, the villain here is Choi Suk Bin beside Heo Jeok/The western faction/Ja Kyung. hehehe.. Have been waiting to see Suk Bin's bad side since Dong Yi.

Acting/cast: One word. Awesome. This drama got Kim Tae Hee (IRIS, My Princess) and Yoo Ah In (Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Fashion King) as the main lead! Also Hong Soo Hyun (The Princess Man) as Queen Inhyun. The other cast were already experienced too in kdramaland so you will recognized them directly (if you usually watch historical dramas)

Music: It's not bad, but not so good too. I found the music's so-so

Overall: Actually, I found this drama more interesting than Gu Family Book. I don't know why but I just feel like that. The storyline's interesting and the main lead seems more love-birds-like. Kim Tae Hee did a very good job on potraying Jang Ok Jung.

Idk what do you think, but.......
I think the cast sucks. Seriously.. Kim Soo Hyun (Lee Hwon) was not really appropriate as a king, and seems to force himself to act coldly when he was far better in acting as a cheerful, clumsy Sam Dong in DH.

I also have difficulties in liking the adult Wol/ Yeon Woo. Ga In's chipmunk expressions are the most horrible focus scenes. But, I like MinHwa and Prince Yang Myung adult's faces!!!! Heo Yeom's terrible, Bo Kyung? Pretty....

Besides cast, everything's great. The story, music, it also have high rewatch values. But if you read the novel's version, this drama was FAR behind. The screenwriter did a lot of amazing scenes, but cutting MOST of the kissing and romantic scenes between Wol and Hwon? That sucks....

The ending? Hate it... Why should everyone suffers for only Yeon Woo and Hwon's happiness?

This IS OF COURSE NOT the best sageuk i've ever seen, No doubt.

Honestly, there are MANY weak points of this drama.

First? Cast and characterization. The characterization were poor. I, myself even got confused who's the main character here. I thought it was Hae Seung, but then Rian. And most of the time the characters are played poorly.

Second? Story line. Okay, there's no story line here. The story was about idols VS untalented people. But in the middle it all changed into: fans and idol love story. Seriously, it was like to much romance then the 'achieving dreams' thingy.

Actually, there's a lot more. But, it still worth watching.. But I recommend you DH1 more then this
