Too Fast Paced...
I have not read the book so I can't comapre one to the other. I was intrested since I just saw the trailer and like Ryan Ding sine I saw him in Just an Encore. The movie is too fast paced that even if I would feel emotionally invested I lost the feeling way too fast too.
The ML and FL were roommates of some sort. She is staying at his home because of issues with her family. They are neoghbors and the ML is the friend of her brother. In the course of them livig toether they fall in love but because the ML had some issues wiyhbhis family too he disappears for 7 years.
Years later he comes back and try to win her back and almost didn't get her back. And when he does get her back fate hands them a death blow. They both suffered apart got back together only to suffer again What a load of crap!
I'd say this is a waste of the talent of the people here some I have seen in other works and know how they could deliver and another thing the osts are too good for the movie. So sad that this was poorly written.
Rewatch value is a 0 for me. No matter how much I like Ryan this does not work for me. It is not a wate of time and they made the ending a happy ending but in fact it's not.

Good contribution for more movies on those topics
This review is based on just watching the movie, not knowing the webtoon, what I see makes quite a difference in rating.I didn't know what to expect, but I think it handled that multifaceted topic BDSM quite in a good way, as far as I can judge. Especially they've done it with respect and care of the protagonists. So in that sense it gives a strong statement to respect and accept people having different desires, especially the ones not being generally accepted by "normal" society and to have an open mind and awareness to that. So many people lacking of having that mindset still. That awareness worked very well throughout the whole movie for me and made me rate it that high. Also the FL and ML were acting perfectly well I think. I hope they'll do more in the future. Also the other cast was very good.
Of course some aspects were a bit fast paced or not covered much, like their background or the transition of their relationship. That would have needed more episodes than just a movie and I wouldn't mind seeing a sequell covering that. I read that the webtoon provided more detail. But on the other hand to drag that into a 16 episode drama would've been too long and led to the usual plot problems of lengthy dramas.
So why not see that movie as a good contribution to do more stuff on such topics in society ?

well i saw negatives comment but honestly for me yeaah it's not such a rare kind of movie but at list i can say that i find a little bit pleasure watching it. Why? well i love that the director and the writer chosen that kind of ending well if they pick something like same kind of other movie ending i just feel that it's just like a canned movie but because the concluding part is like this. It's more look like realistic i love the lee je hoon and bae suzy characters. all the actors is great i also like the music so much. over all i can say that it's nice that i choose to watch this movie for today (*0^)?.

The acting wasn't bad. It was horrible. You couldn't even think that they were actually acting seriously except for a few scenes. And the characters were all empty. The character development was almost inexistent.
The music was pretty good, I would say, except for that happy ending song that didn't even seem to belong to the kind of sad ending the movie had. I was just asking myself "Why?" while hearing it.
Overall, it's a movie that had an awesome idea and started off pretty well, despite the horrible acting, but when the things started to be "creepy" it just fucked up and couldn't go on.
Oh, and IT IS NOT A HORROR MOVIE. It just could feel like one from the summary but isn't one at all.

If you were enthralled by watching the Japanese drama LIFE, then Aoi Tori is definitely the movie for you. Although the bullying has already occurred at this point, the topics brought up are much the same. The students in the victim's class were forced to right reflection essays of at least five pages expressing their remorse over Noguchi's suicide attempt, and had to revise the essays until the teachers were satisfied. This, the teachers think, is enough for the students to feel they have repented.
Hiroshi Abe plays a poignant, strong Murauchi, despite (or maybe because of) his stutter. His steady gaze as he looks over the classroom, his greeting to Noguchi every morning, everything he does is done with such clarity and care, it's a joy to watch.
Hongo Kanata, best known for his roles in the live action Prince of Tennis movie as well as Nana 2, plays a conflicted and haunted student. He's not a hero, he's not perfect. He doesn't understand what putting Noguchi's desk back will accomplish, he gets frustrated at Murauchi for tormenting the class. At the same time, he questions how at fault he is when he recalls his participation in the bullying, and he answers honestly when his friend Inoue, a major player in the whole affair, asks "Were we really bullying him? He was always laughing."
"Yes, we were. He wouldn't have done that if we weren't."
Like most Japanese films, Aoi Tori has a decidedly slow pace. But as each detail of Noguchi's suicide attempt is revealed, you will find yourself holding you breath, wondering how things ended up this way, and how things will be from now on.
It's a beautiful, heartbreaking film. Definitely an A+ in my book.

Movie-length commercial for MSC Cruises
This movie was literally the middle of the road for me. To me, it had more wrong than right, but I'll just give it a 5 and move on.I really struggled with this movie, as it didn't seem to know what it wanted to be. Was it a comedy? A mystery? A farce? Except for the main characters, everyone else's hair, makeup and clothing were WAY over the top. A lot of the characters just seemed like caricatures of real people - that makes it hard for me to feel like I'm getting to know them and to feel empathy for them. Most of the characters were a little creepy, including the children. Was that so that we couldn't figure out who the "bad guy" was?
I think the biggest question I had while I was watching it, how did the FL get on board the ship without a ticket, how was she able to remain on board once the ship left (the ML knew she didn't have a ticket), where did she get her wardrobe since she didn't have luggage? And I could be mistaken, but when we first meet her, I don't think she even had a purse on her.
All-in-all, for me this movie was too "campy" and difficult to take seriously.

First are the comparisions. They have the same concept, but in kimi wa petto I still feel that matsumoto jun was way cuter, like puppy dog cute, but JGs was the kind of puppy you could see as a man. The chemistry between Ha Neul and JGS was like brother sister and she didn’t start off as cold as the lady from kimi wa petto- maybe because a drama has more time. Still, the movie brought out some points that the drama didn’t touch on, and although they are very similar, it almost feels like a different story.
I really like how they pretty much let JGS get manish from day one, so when the transition from pet to man came it didn’t seem so awkward. I didn’t like that there were some holes in the plot (I filled them in myself from kimi wa petto), and I also didn’t like how JGS’s goal was so sketchy and undefined. ballet to musicals? really?? his dancing seemed a bit stiff, and a bit much, but singing was heavenly. (but they did show off his singing, so yea! i missed it after YAB.)
All in all I would definitely watch again I liked all the eye candy, and the concept from the drama. If it can convert an Arashi, matsujun fan girl like me, it will be fun for all.

From a non-manga reader
(no spoilers) Hearing that there was a lot lacking, I do feel that. Otherwise, the cinematography was gorgeous. The lighting hits a sweet spot. Ayano Go was great; I think this role definitely suits him.The first half was great; it's pacing felt natural and I could easily follow the story. Second half felt a little strange. If I had to guess, this is where they cut a lot of original material.
(spoilers) The introduction and revelation about Nanako/Chihiro didn't have the impact that it should've, considering how important it is for our main character. And Manabu's past got covered within like the last 10 mins of the movie. This is something that you need to dedicate a whole episode for each character (ofc they couldn't do that). That's why adaptations are so tricky.

Definitely worth watching
A small bit of a disclaimer: I am not someone who watches a lot of movies and if you narrow down the list of the movies I have watched to the ones that fall in the sci-fi genre you would hardly find any, so needless to say I am not the best person to write a review but I couldn’t help myself!I absolutely loved it and didn’t mind the length at all ( if it was up-to me I would want to make it even longer, lol! just to have more scenes of the members of the Victory spaceship and that child! I would be lying if I say that I didn’t find those scenes very cute and wholesome). Given that I haven’t really watched any western sci-fi movies the plot wasn’t what I was expecting; I hadn’t prepared myself for the emotional aspect of the movie but I am not complaining. It was an emotional ride with just the right amount of thriller and comedic scenes at the right time, and thankfully they didn’t just show Koreans in the space! Also, I loved Song Joongki’s acting ( I may be biased here as I have been awaiting his return to the screen for a very long time) but those emotional scenes were executed well (and I guess there wasn’t any scene that required phenomenal / extraordinary facial expressions or sth so I cannot really praise( which I just did!) or criticise his acting skills)
Just go and watch it , you will surely not regret it until and unless you are one of those real movie critics!

The story is entertaining enough, and easy to follow. Similar to the blair witch project (which also scared me in the beginning and middle, but became a comedy) a bunch of silly kids want to investigate a local legend and film what they find, The stpries were pretty gross, and what they "found" was pretty horrific. Things get spooky, and the kids come to regret their curiousity.
Starts off well, but that ending.. That one moment.. just thinking about it now is making me laugh.
