Betterr than what I expected, worse than what it could be.

Frankly this drama could have been better if it wasn't for the unnecessarily things that happened in the middle of the drama and some plot holes. I think the author could have explained better. Also, sometimes less is more. I feel like the author tried to put a lot of things and at the end of the day he didn't know what to do with it.

Saying that, I don't think the drama was bad. I had fun watching it and the couple was entertained enough to watch. Also, I did like some episodes and I was very interested in their backstory and such. It wasn't bad to the point of not sticking to it until the end. At least this drama is entertaining and not just a copy and paste from some American show or something pushy. It was okay.

The OSTs were okay to good. I think I would've liked them more if the drama played them more in a better way. Besides the one with Park Won and one from Lyn, I don't think the other catched my attention to the point of even commenting about it.

The actors were good as well, nothing to complain about it. Their characters were okay. Could they have been better? Oh yeah! Especially the FL. But as someone who is used to old FL style, this one didn't sound so bad. Again, it is a okay drama. Something you would watch because you have nothing else to. However, since almost the dramas nowadays are very bad. This one is quite fair.

I still reconmend it to the ones who have watched a lot and need some k-drama.

Give it a try

If you're hesitant to watch it, give it a try of 5 episodes then decide, because it's an amazing Drama and you'll regret not watching it before. If you feel the craziness of the characters well you'll laugh your heart out. I feel so satisfied after watching this for an unknown reason. The bromance, romance, comedy, tactics all are pretty good. It's worth your time with many morals in a simple method. Namgoong min is such a talented and versatile actor. My first intro to him was Doctor prisoner in a sophisticated role and after it Villian role in Remember & in this one being Crazy TQ Chief just blew my mind away. Junho did a great job of being a cute villian with screaming wherever and whenever, I've seen him many times but I've come to to acknowledge that his acting in this role is my favorite one out of all.

Gone with the wind

About half way through I realized this was a Korean version of Margaret Mitchell's "Gone with the Wind". (American book and movie). I liked Gil Chae better than Scarlet O'Hara, but Rett Butler better than Jang Hyun. Eun Jin and Yeon Jun were exactly as incipit as Melanie and Ashley.
Even the title, "My Dearest" relates to Rett's famous last words. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give damn".
Very good show, but is this plagerism?
The ending was different. In the American version Scarlet marries Rett and has a child. They are happy until the child dies accidentlly. Will this be a second season?

How am I supposed to go on with my life now?

This series has been a huge surprise for me.
It started with a bang, keeping me glued to the screen and eager to watch the next episode every week.

The characters are interesting (maybe a tad bit toxic... yes, I'm talking about Segasaki), and even though it is not the most sexy BL I've ever watched (the manga is way hotter/explicit), it was still great to watch.
Both main characters are just handsome af. There's no other way to describe them, they are just aesthetically super pleasing in their own way.

If I have to find faults, I must say that the misunderstandings between the 2 are a bit odd at times, but still have sense, and after episode 6 the story took a slower pace. I expected much more from the last episode, but, again, I'm satisfied with it and I highly recommend the series. I wish there was a little more time to explore better their relationship, and maybe have more steamy scenes in some points (like the manga), but given they are also at their first experience with BL... they did great!
In the manga there was a lot more sex and smutty scenes, there were a lot more discussions and the development of their relationship was a bit more clear: This was absent in the drama.
Even though some things were "not said" but clear between the couple, communication between the 2 was not their forte, and I wished that the director took more time to develop their story and explain how they arrive at this point - I mean, it seems almost like nothing happened from the time at school and the present time.
Other than that, I enjoyed the show due to the mysterious aura of it all and the great visuals. (But after episode 6 I was a bit disappointed, cannot deny it).

I cannot emphasize it more, but I think the actor who plays Yoh (Mashiko Atsuki) is incredibly cute, and from some angles he resembles WayV's YangYang. While Higuchi Kouhei, with his super defined features, is like a statue.

His love for FL is amazing!

This drama is quite interesting, the villain is trying to break them both. ML will win her back because his love for her is overwhelming. The ML is a versatile actor. His voice movement gestures and facial expressions described his excellent expressive skills. both of them ML and FL are good pair the level of their acting skills are the same.
Both of them try their best to deliver their acting naturally. We have to consider that they never had any intimate connection with each other they have their BF and GF so delivering false intimate emotion is hard too. But they did a good job.

Ballerina; A Messy Pirouette Marked With Blood…

2023 has seen a great lineup of action thrillers, especially with strong heroines and Ballerina certainly tries to follow suit. However while did have some heavy action scenes and subjects, was it really a worthwhile watch?


Lee Chung Hyun directed and wrote the movie. Ok Ju ( Jeon Jong-seo) is a bodyguard who holds her own in fights. However, her life turns upside down when she discovers her friend and ballerina Min-hee (Park Yu-rim)’s fatal aftermath in the wake of being sexually assaulted by mid-level boss Choi Pro (Kim Ji-hoon).


Now seeking her revenge, she is put on a bloody path to enact vengeance on Choi Pro and his cronies by ending him once and for all.


It’s suffice to say Ballerina is very much what it says on the tin; a revenge movie where the heroine gets revenge by tracking down the big bad and leaving a wake of carnage in her way. The film is gory and filled with adrenaline, but that’s about it.

This isn’t necessarily bad. A lot of revenge and action films work on the premise of mindless violence to keep viewers engaged and it was evident to see the film’s influences from John Wick to Kill Bill. However, Ballerina never really gives us full scope that it tries to do with its characters and plot. It always tethers on potential development before tearing it away to focus on a fist fight and action scene.

The problem is that doesn’t really give the narrative or characters a lot of backbone. Even some of the most disturbing revenge Korean films over the past few decades such as Oldboy, Lady Vengeance and Burning are able to balance out their narratives with adrenaline, and tension, but equally compelling storylines and choreography. In Oldboy, we see plot twist development shock us beyond belief, Lady Vengeance is filled with complex characterisation and compelling fight scenes, while Burning explores tension and thematic issues such as capitalism in its core narrative . The problem with Ballerina is that while it doesn’t have to be a complicated movie at heart like some of its predecessors , it struggles with simple basics such as characterisation and development.


Jeon Jong-seo is a good actress but her character Ok Ju is very paper-thin. The audience never have any opportunities to warm up to her. It seems quite ridiculous when we consider the fact that we’ve seen Jong-seo lose a close friend and numerous hardships, yet we never see this develop or understand how this is such a devastating impact for her character. We do see some flashbacks to understand their relationship but this felt a little convoluted than explained or poignant, lacking a lot of potentially sincere emotional development. Sure, she’s a certified pro- fighter and brutal, but that’s pretty much in the space of this movie’s duration, all we get from our heroine’s character.


It was Kim Ji hoon’s role as Choi Pro which did shine through here. His cartoonish heinousness did help during some of the more questionable pacing and writing issues, by at least giving some appeal for the audience to root for the heroine.


The pacing is pretty variable in parts. When the action comes into force, it’s quick and adrenaline rushes. Yet in its patchy narrative and writing moments drawn out for sobs or seeming development, the gaps in writing often make these scenes drag out longer than they should.


Naturally, action choreography and actions scenes are where Ballerina excels. Lee Chung-hyun’s direction is simultaneously ultraviolent yet sleek. Its mesmerising to watch with the pure adrenaline of movements and camera angles really bringing these scenes to life.



Ballerina is a fairly mindless action movie. While probably not one of the best films released this year or winning over fans of revenge action films and cult classics, it is adrenaline infused and brutal. The writing is patchy but it’s well-directed through its camera angles and the fight scenes are well-executed also. Overall probably decent enough to watch one time when bored or killing time and that’s about it.

Ding Yuxi is a great GREAT actor

Watching this drama just for Ding Yuxi was the right decision for me. I watched this drama after I watched 'The Romance of Tiger and Rose' and I was very interested in Ding Yuxi's acting, so I looked up Yuxi's discography and found in his latest drama Yuxi's voice wasn't dubbed. I'm so happy, finally i can hear his original voice!

After watching this, I respect Ding Yuxi even more, for me he's a hardworking actor and is dedicated to every character he takes on. I was touched by his effort to display such amazing micro-expressions! even when playing a young General, he was able to portray the figure of a mighty General. I was even amazed by his posture when wearing armor, and when Yuxi has to change the role of a God, he can also play the character of a God who is authoritative and scary.

Moving on to the plot of the drama. So far I like the storyline created by the writer. Very interesting, and what is a plus for me is that the love journey of the two main characters isn't made too slowly.

But when it comes to acting... I really want to give it a perfect score, but for me the female lead's acting is still lacking in several points. She can still expand her acting range, she has enormous potential to deepen her character, and after finishing this drama, Yang Chaoyue apparently made good progress.

It's more than just a love story

You need to watch this show guys..
because it's amazing.. I'm not exaggerating, it really is.
Very first about our jam and film.. they were awesome.
I loved their acting and also their dedication to each and every episodes.( at some point we will hate charn to the point that we can't get back, but hats off to his acting and commitment that made all those scenes real) and some scenes gave me butterflies in my stomach, actually they have one the best onscreen chemistry.
Coming to the plot.. i didn't like the first episode and sincerely I was planning to drop this series but I just gave it a try.. after 2nd episode, the plot developed mainly the interaction between the main characters also.. ( that's what we want to see right?) I couldn't resist my laughter at some scenes and also my tears to some other..
it's a complete package and I really loved it.
one of the main things that pulled me towards this drama is it's music.. to tell you the truth, they had heartwarming songs and romantic ost till the end.
I really loved this series. I have a brother and sister.. so it was easy for me to understand the emotions and their love towards each other. so I think you guys also can connect. And I want to say you that, just give it a try.. please don't drop the series by just watching first 2 episodes.( if you're a jam film fan, then you'll definitely regret that decision)

Relaxing-Comedy-Historical drama

If you want to watch a light-hearted historical drama, then this is the right show for you. The whole time I was watching this drama, I laughed a lot, my heart was blooming as if I was also falling in love. I liked how the writer made this story move not too slowly. Everything moves quickly, especially the changes in the male main character. Even so, we can still enjoy it.

Of course in a drama, especially a drama with a romance theme, there are always ups and downs in a romantic relationship, this is also what happened to Chen Qianqian and Han Shuo, but don't worry because this drama is predominantly a comedy, you won't be too sad when you see the main character facing problems.

Ah, The final scene in the last episode left several questions in my mind, but I didn't mind it too much because it didn't spoil the overall storyline. In conclusion, this drama is suitable to watch when relaxing and refreshing your mind, and as a bonus, the soundtrack is great too! especially the opening song.

friendship is a blessing just as wonderful besides romance.

LOVESTRUCK IN THE CITY is a story compilation of people whose lives interlinked one another. Our two leads meet in the beach and got lovestruck at first sight. After few weeks of sweet roses and butterfly moments together, they parted ways after made promise to reconnect in Seoul, where miscommunications, conflict and consequences starts to unfold…

The unique aspect of this drama is it’s presented in documentary-style interviews in present-day Seoul, done in a refreshing way so I think most will enjoy. Five characters with varied personalities are being interviewed on love, sex, and relationships. It is fun because whenever a question was asked, someone will give their opinion and the next person is like replying with a completely opposite opinion.

Through these present-day interviews, the story segues to our two leads‘ past through the very BEAUTIFUL beach scenes. These flashbacks showed how they met, became friends and lovers. More than the plot, I was enchanted by the overall shot of these dreamy and romantic scenes! The chemistry between the leads is electric, fun and free-spirited through and through. Also the OSTs are wonderful! Every time a song played I noticed how much I was vibing with it.

I think the relationship between the two leads was nice, both then and now as they go through various complexities, it is realistic. I like how they switched the perspectives from our male lead's to our female lead, as it really fleshed out her identity crisis. The drama also emphasize that friendship is a blessing just as wonderful besides romance.

My con is the ending cameo, so spoiler warning! Why would they spend the conclusion focusing on a supporting character love interest with a brand-new character? It would not be a problem if told not in the finale I feel satisfied with ep 16 ending, where it fits the actual ending of the show

Cliche Yet Not Cliche

I may be biased since Han Hyo Joo is one of my favourite Korean actresses and I'm a sucker for shows with great soundtracks/musicality. While I was initially hesitant to watch yet another zombie drama/movie ever since Train to Busan infected the Korean entertainment industry, this drama isn't actually about zombies. Surprise!
In this drama, the "zombification" personifies an individual's search for happiness. The more extrinsic one's road to happiness is, the more susceptible they are to the virus.
If you don't read too much into the symbolism though, this was a highly entertaining series to indulge in, simply for the impeccable chemistry between the two leads that built up throughout the series, the fantastic supporting cast and characters that added personality to what could've been "yet another zombie show", the anti-hero who made you question your own views on morality (although some parts of his character development confused me), the thrill and suspense that comes along with the genre, and of course the amazing soundtrack and bgm.
Overall, this drama certainly kept me intrigued from start to finish, and while some parts were predictable, it managed to present a fresh take on the "zombie" genre.

NIF 1&2: Different storylines but similar themes. A worthy sequel!

This is my first review after watching so many K & C dramas. I know I’m very late to the party but I’m so glad I finally watched NIF and then NIF2 back to back. While I enjoyed NIF very much, it is NIF 2’s characters that have really gripped my heart and left me reflecting on the story. I thought NIF ended well and brought closure to the whole Chiyan incident but watching NIF2 brought home the fact that the after effects of injustice never truly ends as one ponders the “what-could-have-beens”.

The Chiyan incident, that brought down Prince Qi and the Lin clan, formed the backstory of NIF. The first season focused mainly on Lin Shu, the sole survivor from the Lin family, and his quest for clearing their name of the crime of rebellion; season 2 turned the spotlight on Prince Qi’s descendants who now carry the banner of Changlin, the army formed in memory of Lin Shu.

Watching the Changlin men and remembering that Xiao Tingsheng is the son of Prince Qi, the wrongly-accused Crown Prince in NIF who was sentenced to death, I can’t help but keep thinking what a great line of emperors they would have made! At the same time, I also appreciated how wise it was of Prince Jing and Lin Shu to decide not to tell Tingsheng his true identity in NIF. Would he have been consumed with justice or ambition and chosen to fight for his claim to the throne instead of supporting his brother? Were his decisions shaped by who he is by nature or because of the immense gratitude he, as one born in prison, felt as the adopted son of Prince Jing? How much would anyone’s sense of entitlement affect them?

Like many others, I too love the character Pingjing. But I do not see his life as a glimpse of what Lin Shu’s might have been. From the ending of NIF, I think Lin Shu was born to be a general and would have been happy to be entrenched in the royal family, with its politics and all it brings. Being in the jianghu for him was merely a means of survival. But Pingjing, being the younger son, had always preferred to be in the jianghu. He was just fulfilling his responsibilities and others’ expectations of him when he put on his armor. The fact that he did, in the end, live as his heart desired is the saving grace of Prince Qi’s line to the throne being unjustly discontinued.

I also enjoyed the romance arc between Pingjing and Linxi. The slow build-up because of her misgivings brought greater gratification when she followed her heart, chose to support his choices and wait patiently for him but without compromising her life goals. One of my favorite lines from this drama is hers: “my heart will always be waiting for you, but I (my footsteps) can’t stay in one place for you.” She says this but ah….the ending scene!

Overall, both NIF & NIF2 are definitely worth watching. The themes of familial ties and responsibilities, friendship and patriotism that many loved in NIF continues in NIF2. The writers also cleverly wove elements of the first season into the second, connecting the two without it feeling being very contrived. These touches enhances the enjoyment of part 2 yet allows it to stand alone. NIF has a more cohesive storyline but a somewhat bittersweet ending. NIF2 may feel segmented but I think the plot works well for the sake of the characters’ growth arcs. Also, it ends on a more hopeful note, at least for our main protagonist. Maybe, hopefully, NIF3 will give us a glimpse of Pingjing’s happiness.

The chemistry between the main characters is palpable and adds an authentic charm to the unfolding romance.

Production-wise, "When I Fly Towards You" boasts high-quality production values, presenting visually stunning settings and cinematography that enhances the immersive experience.

In summary, "When I Fly Towards You" is a stellar Cdrama that stands out for its poignant metaphors, exceptional acting, and an engrossing storyline. While the support characters could have been explored more deeply, this drama remains a must-watch for its poetic depiction of love and an enthralling narrative that will resonate with fans of the genre. It has undoubtedly set a new benchmark in the realm of television dramas and is well worth the watch.

A story that you will never forget

I discovered asian dramas this year. I saw some not romantic ones before but just in passing, between other shows. But this year i found "Alchemy of Souls" and got on Asian dramas basically full time. "Alchemy of souls" got to me so much and no other left such a great impact since (I enjoyed others of course a lot but not to this level).

And then i watched "Till the end of the moon" and i got that feeling back. What a beautiful, wonderful, amazing and heartbreaking story. It made me feel everything in just 40 episodes that pass by like 10 minutes. I love everything about it.

So final throughts on this fantastic tale: The end, for me, is sad. I know it have that hopeful component that maybe they will meet again but all the scene where SuSu have to kill him is heartbreaking. Even when is sad, i feel the end fits their characters perfectly:

-Tantai Jin was driven by his love the moment he was aware of it and confess it to Ye XiWu on his family's burial place. Since that moment all his actions are because of that love. At first it is mixed with jelaousy and other not so good feelings like that possesive side when she died. But i think he learn to get rid of those bad feelings during his time as Cang Juimin and what is left is love. Mostly for SuSu but also for humanity (Which i don't think is easy for someone that was mistreated all his life). So his actions at the end are the ultimate act of love: Self-sacrifice for the wellbeing of the rest of the world and the love of his life, Li SuSu.

-Li SuSu reminds me a lot of my all time hero, Buffy the vampire slayer. Both of them are the chosen ones and both of them have to be the strong ones and make the hard decisions. I have to say that i had a hard time at moments to understand her actions. She was clearly in love but she was also aware that Tantai could end all life if his destiny end up being fulfilled. She never forgot that. She couldn't. When she said in the last episode that she made a wish that time at the Ye house that he didn't become the Devil Lord is proof of how much she love him and how much she must really suffered. She is soo strong that her becoming a god it was just something that had to happen. She never for a moment believe that Cang Juimin was really the Devil Lord no matter what he do and still, besides all the love, besides being completely heartbroken, she did what she had to do. Because she is the chosen one for a reason.

I can't really explain how much i cry watching that scene where SuSu is about to tell him she loves him (She never did it out loud when she actually mean it) and she can't. So she just said: "I will tell you when i see you again" ???. Not to mention the scene at the tombs of both of them and what is written "Tomb of Ye XiWu loving wife of Tantai Jin" "Tomb of Tantai Jin husband of Ye XiWu" ????

So in episode 39 Tantai ask: "Will our story be know by posterity?"

Yes, their story will be with me forever ♥♥♥.
