The Uncanny Counter returned with a charming and stunning 2nd season

Season 2 is an underrated gem. It's a new story with new conflicts and dynamics to watch on its own. The counters navigate a falling out with their firefighter friend. So Moon moves forward and grows stronger for his uncanny family. Jeok Bong's funny clumsiness carries the counters through the darkest times. And So Moon and Ha Na shine bright with their younger brother/older sister dynamic

I would have loved to see Gelly, Wong Yeok and Pil Kwang join the counters or the Yung territory flow through So Moon's body. Season 2 could have adapted the part of the webtoon where So Moon, the Yung territory that he is, casts out spirits without having to summon them. But I'm satisfied with the Yung tears So Moon sheds for Ju Seok. They are a sign of his pure heart and strength

The humor, action and level-headed storytelling mesh well together and have plenty of room to breathe. I'm not overwhelmed or frustrated

Retaining the jovial charm of season 1, the 2nd season is a seamless, breezy watch

The uncanny family, thank you for your hard work. I will miss you ☺️

The lackluster script wasted these actors. I really was not enjoying it.

Dream is about a B-level soccer player, played by Park Seo Joon, who ends up ruining his public image upon assaulting a reporter. To redeem himself, he got a task to make a documentary where he coaches a soccer team of homeless men. IU is in charge as the director of this documentary and we quickly find out that she also doesn't want this job, which leads to some funny interactions between the two.

I only watch this because these two actors have such a good track record from my drama-watching experience, but I don't get emotionally attached to any of the characters. So the homeless soccer team members were there, and trying too hard to gain my sympathy, without showing any progression of our male lead's character arc. This movie was supposed to focus on him becoming grounded by the homeless men's backstories, and I was hoping by the presence of IU as the female director there will be more productive interaction between them as the leads.

I don't even understand the purpose of IU's character. Her character is pretty useless to the story and her mannerism is annoying. Overall, I think the script needs a more refine editing and make the characters a bit more interesting :/

Attraction of opposites student drama , that is cute and funny. Love v sausages.

If you are looking for something earnest indepth, like the Eight Sense or Tokyo in April, this is not for you. If you want something to watch that is has charectors that you would like to meet, that is not medodramatic, full of lack of communication, and angest, and gives you a smile, then you might like it.
The worst thing about this is the title, which gives you no idea of the content, and the opening episode which sets the plot, get past that and its very enjoyable.
There are a lot of poor reviews for this, mainly about the plot. It's not Kinn Porche, which is plot dense, its charm is its a normal tale of love, not a hyped up version, full of tortured longing looks and misunderstandings. Having working with a lot of young male students, the obession with food( they will know the number of every fast food outlet that will deliver), sex, alcohol, sport and DnD type games is accurate.

One ML is tall, handsome, rich, smart and a seriel bed hopper, so doesn't make a lot of effort in relationships, and a bit of a neat freak.
The other male lead, is cute, a bit of a romantic, but lives his life a mess disorganised clutter, obessed with food, constantly losing things and himself, and his friends shepherd him constantly.

This could be a standard student drama if it wasn't for the writing and particulary the comic performance of , Ping Krittanun Aunchananunhe, the charector could be the really annoying but its played with charm. I haven't seen a charector written like this since Lorrelei Lee in Gentleman Prefer Blondes(1953),' I can be smart when it's important' He looks fluffy on the outside but actually covers up that he is astute so he thinks things through, and has a steel crow bar for a spine, and gets his own way by being either charmingly befuddled or very direct about what he wants. So the main comedy is that the Mr Cool ends up in often exasperated submission.

The story moves a long well, all misunderstanding and the villians plot are solved quickly. The plot is mainly how their realationship changes and deepens, and having consumed a lot of these student dramas recently, still trying to get over Weak Class Hero, I think this is much better than Bad Buddy, which mainly consists of two people being pretty aweful to each other most of the time, and full of the love hate cliches. The realtionship in this drama based on communication and honesty.

Episode 5, is my favorite, it covers raiding the all you can eat buffet, the enevertable drunk outcome, a frank discussion of sex scene, and then the head down the toilet. In all great evening out.

Its a refreshing change from the what seems the constant theme of sexual and student bullying of males and females that seems to be in just about every student drama, and the idea that to show you like someone you have to be nasty to them. The supporting charectors are nice supportive people, even the females!
Not often I give a 10.

Bawled my eyes

First I had my eyes on this full white "man" that I know soon his will make my heart ache whether it's on screen or read the novel
Only on novel he doesn't express Why he did things when everything he did comes with a price.
Then after finishing it... I knew deep down.. I love tu Shan Jing.
He is the best you can hope for someone who you want eternally.
Even xiaoyao endured alot of pains, physically and mentally. I still kinda envy her that she is never alone... literally alone.she always has someone..to care for her and stuff even it's on secret way to do.unlike Jing...
He also endured so much, yet he overcomed everything with only hope he has for xiaoyao.and he is way too amazing on handling everything that what I know even us..wouldn't do what he does when it comes to negativity.
Sorry to spoil I guess but I may not want to move on yet.
What I'm looking forward is seeing what I have read on screen. The actors and the Actresses are so good in bringing the character alive. I'm so amazed.
I said all of em. Yes all.
Yanzi, wan Yi,deng wei, hong Yi, jianci gege.
Standing ovation for all of you
May fortune downpour on you always.

brought back the golden era of kdramas

idk what others are on about. yall are so used to conflicting plots, unecessary drama and toxicity that yall find a lighthearted, healthy romance ‘cringey’? that's ridiculous. the entire point of a romcom is to be cheesy and sweet. anyways, imo it was a wonderful watch. the acting was amazing, the visuals were amazing, and the story never felt lacking even though it was 16 episodes of fluff. the ml was the greenest flag ever and the fl was so witty and charming as well her professional skills made her so much more attractive omg. the chemistry was off the charts! so adorable, so ideal. the drama overall was refreshing, not in the sense it brought something new, instead it brought back the 201-ish comfort of watching kdramas. just say you don't know how love works in real life if you're gonna call this drama cringey lmao your love life must be tragic.

milkymochi is speaking

On first episode i'm very excited because is about supernatural especially vampire and i have high expectation on this drama. About the plot story is very common but the male lead acting make it smooth like butter, all is okay and perfect. Really recommended!

Until ... the two last episode is coming up on this week, really disappointed. Imagination and high expectation on it, suddenly as if falling straight down really quick and disappear.

I thought Seon Woo-Hyeol can be a human because has true love with Joo In-Hae. So, 100 years in hawthorn (correct me if i wrong) ... what a waste time? Seon Woo-Hyeol only know she is the reincarnation from Hae-Sun and then died, and then why they reveal Joo In-Hae is Hae-Sun after he on threshold of death ...?

A work of art in lakorns

it's a work of art in the lakorns. normally i only rate a series among the series in its country. but this is beyond all of them, everyone should watch it. you will surely find a piece of yourself. there are no bad characters in the series. but there are a lot of people and events that bother you, just like real life. so you get completely caught up in the flow.

I could talk about this series for hours.
All the actors did a great job. The chemistry between the couples was terrific. And the level of guest stars. You will be completely shocked. So I don't need to say anything more. Just go and watch it

Bad drama

I feel bad for the actors for making such a bad drama. The drama spent 15 episodes plotting a path to having that ending. This is a drama that I do not indicate to anyone. A friend and I were watching and commenting on each episode, there came a time when we said, let's watch until the end because we've already watched more than half.

Really great underrated drama

Loved every second of this drama. The story line is marevolous. It shows the journey through life of a group of 8 students and how they grow and bond together through the years. This drama gave me a good insight about passion and choosing what you want. It has great romance and truly amazing bromance. Very inspiring. Absolutely loved the cast too. The leads have done a great job at portraying their character. A definite must watch drama for lovers of Romance, Action, Suspense, Bromance and Investigation. The music very well suited the drama too. It started off in a very rom-com-y way and in just a very jolly vibe, but it turned little serious and tense but ended with a very passionate and strong bond. But I guess that's how our youth is meant to be. Truly enjoyed the last few episodes and I don't know if I can find another drama this good. Overall a very very well directed drama about Youth life. It was very nice to watch them grow together and flourish new bonds. ?‍♀️?‍♂️?‍♀️?‍♀️?☠️?‍♂️⚡️?‍♀️??‍♂️

SO GOOD!!

Every episode had me hooked, and it didn’t have a slow start, and it kept its moment. nowadays, the new K dramas that are coming out, They usually have a slow start and a good middle point, but this K drama really just kept going and it was so well done. Every episode was so interesting and it kept you on your toes and keeps you wondering what’s going to happen next.

Even though this K drama didn’t have that much romance in it, I still liked the side plot between the main love interest and the main character. I think they have such great chemistry and i was really happy that they ended up being together in the end.

Also, I can’t help, but think that there might be a season two because I mean you don’t put Lee Junho at the end of the episode for like three minutes of screen time for nothing and I definitely think there’s gonna be another season or just like another part of celebrity and I’m really looking forward to it. I think even season two would do it justice and I think it’s gonna be really good and if it’s gonna have Lee Junho in it im definitely gonna be watching it and I’m so glad that more K dramas are casting Lee Junho.

Okay no I’m starting to talk about Lee Junho now lol.. not about him but I really do recommend this K drama it’s really good and if you like a good revenge plot this is the one for you and you will definitely enjoy it.

enemies-to-real lovers

a late review. i watch this when it was airing, without any planning and expectations. i only watched it bcos i want to watch ongoing kdrama, and how i was surprised, this is a very pleasant and satisfying and romantic watch.

i love melodrama romance, when it is done right. and this drama did it well. both sung kyung and young kwang acted very very well in their respective roles, and successfully relayed the feelings of their characters well.

this is a revenge drama, but turned into forgiveness. i love how the drama made the fl hated the ml at first, but since the ml are just sooooo kind and kind and kind, and caring and protective while still respecting boundaries, how wud anyone not fall in love with such character?

i also love how their relationship developed. from slowly trusting each other, protecting each other, slowly falling in love, the silent gaze, the apology, and the comfort that they bring to each other, and the fact that this relationship made both of them a better person. so loveeeeee

I'm bad at writing review, but i just want to give my appreciation to this drama. it's a meloromance done right. altho i was kinda hesitated or slow in finishing the last 4 eps bcos i hate to see the conflict unfolds but overall the whole drama is very pleasant to watch. i just love it.

thank you, call it love.

ps: pls don't mind my score for the music. i don't really pay attention to the music in the drama, but i just had to put a score. ok byeeeee

Great Start, Boring Middle, Decent-ish ending

Sandglass had a great start, a boring middle, and a decent-ish end. There is a political theme throughout, which I think was more interesting when this was inter-mixed with action and slight romance, but when this wasn't present, was quite boring to follow. Another thing that I wanted to say: Sandglass has EASILY my most least-liked FL (so far at least, although I think this will be very hard to beat). The FL's character is absolutely awful. The actual actress is good, so nothing against her. But the character she played... will, no matter what, be one of my least favourite characters in general forever (I think, anyways!).

Apart from this, I really found the bromance between two of the ML's an absolute pleasure to watch. I also found the politics (when done right) really interesting and gripping. The action scenes were absolutely amazing too, whoever co-ordinated some of those scenes especially must have received some applause after this came out back in 1995. And I really did enjoy the characters in this (except the FL) and all the different relationships and dynamics each had with one another. The OST was legendary, just too overplayed throughout.

All in all, however, I do recommend this. Sandglass is a definite watch. But the first portion is definitely the best.

There's a lot to say

First I'll say that from a technical aspect, The Shipper is impressively well put together. Combined with good pacing, the show has a generally attractive and easy-to-watch style. Sometimes you watch a (GMMTV) show and are hit by a feeling of awkwardness or emptiness from a given composition, dialogue, or blocking. To its advantage, The Shipper is especially polished.

For approximately 11 episodes, I honestly thought The Shipper was somewhat of a mini-masterpiece. I had my gripes about it from time to time but as an overall show it's funny, crazy, and engaging. I've seen people say that the humor was over-the-top but because I watched it with a friend we had a ball. Sometimes for a show like this, over-the-top and absurd is a good thing. You can't have a show about fujoshis and not get crazy with the comedy. It keeps a good ironic air about the show's themes.

The Shipper somehow also managed to get so sad in episode 11 that I was crying like I watched someone die in real life. I love devastating media maybe because I'm a water sign or something but a successful tearjerker is the best in my opinion. Even though I could already tell Kim was dead by the time The Angel of Death said it, hearing the confirmation was a mega DAMN moment. The following scenes with Khett and Way are something you don't get often in comedy. Kim's death not being a fake-out also isn't something you get often with comedy. Unlike everyone else I actually really appreciated that they had the guts to kill him and keep him dead. Adding that kind of realism to an otherwise over-the-top and absurd show is especially impactful.

I see a lot of complaints about the romance aspect of the show. First of all, needing to neatly categorize things as BL or not and judging a show entirely on whether or not it fits your idea of BL is kind of insane. Like you're just blatantly a fujoshi if you're at that point. I have seen a more rationally-based critique of Kim and Way's story and its tragic end, a well-known and much-hated trope within LGBT media. While I honestly understand this critique, I feel like The Shipper was just unfortunate that Kim and Way were the only same-sex pairing and the tragedy had to hit them. The relationship between the two was (miraculously) well-navigated for a show like this one. We dodged the bullet of Way being in love with Pan unknowingly, we found out that Kim also loved Way before he died, and the relationship between the two had proper dimension and meaning. I don't agree with the sentiment that The Shipper is another case of "fake BL" or "technical het", nor did it feel like a case of "bury your gays".

For me, The Shipper would maintain a solid 10 stars with all this considered. But there are some glaring issues that cause major deductions. It's fairly early on in the show that we find out Kim is in a relationship with his teacher for access to exam answer keys. This is handled ABYSMALLY by the show writers. Pan, albeit a teenager who is yet to have fully developed a moral compass and sense of nuance, irkingly brands Kim a terrible person because he's been cheating in school. Maybe, in some universe, the worst thing in the eyes of one kid is seeing another kid cheat, but in my universe where I went to grade school for 12 years and lived as a teenager, I can't say my mindset ever aligned with Pan's. This is so reminiscent of the scene in The Gifted where Namtarn finds out Wave was being groomed by a teacher who stole his intellectual work, and her first reaction was "You got her fired?!?!?!?" like wow what a takeaway. It's not a cultural thing either. Grooming in media, specifically the student-teacher thing, is too often portrayed as a non-issue or a minor issue. For the way Pan handled that situation, I was already ready to deduct maybe 2 stars from the overall rating.

Then there's what I thought was the most glaring issue in the show, but I never see it get talked about seriously. They legitimately had Khett kiss his brother's body. I can't ever describe the reaction my friend and I had to watching that kiss happen in real time. We really didn't think they'd do it. At worst, we thought they'd switch the actors out so it was Prigkhing standing in for First. But they didn't switch. Absolutely insane. For that alone I honestly contemplate giving the show a 1 star rating.

Honestly the biggest insult to injury was seeing that fucking teacher show up again at the end. She got a happy ending by finding love with someone her age, which the narration describes as "not making the same mistakes". She should have been dragged off screen in handcuffs. I cannot believe she showed up to that boy's funeral. The only acceptable ending for her was in jail or dead. I can't wrap my head around the way The Shipper portrayed what is, completely and absolutely, a predator. And the show was doing well in all other aspects for 11 whole episodes. I was even able to look past (albeit barely) the Angel of Death's creepy love for teenage boys, since a young audience has young taste and that's reflected in the ageless inhuman angel character. But episode 12 had the craziest double whammy that honestly ruined the show for me.

I did love most of the show. I honestly thought it was excellent. There are just some things that I can't forgive morally. For that reason I can't even recommend the show either. It was the most disappointing case of ruining-a-perfectly-good-thing I've ever seen. That being said I don't regret watching, so all things considered I give The Shipper 5 stars.
