Cute short series

This was probably the 3rd or 4th k-drama I've seen that has the overall storyline of a big city boy goes to the countryside and meets a farm-boy. But even though the trope is becoming fairly popular, I can see the reason for it and still quite enjoy them.

This was no exception as I thought the story was cute, the acting was good and the pacing made sense. One thing that stood out to me in this one was that I found myself laughing so much more throughout, mostly because of Ye Chan's antics and bumbling nature. He is just so clueless and it's absolutely adorable. It made for some great chemistry between the two leads because Yul's reactions were just as comical.

While the series was nothing groundbreaking for me, I would still rewatch this for a feel good short engagement when I need a pick-me-up. Highly recommend.

BEST SHOW EVER!!!

I don't have enough words to say how great that show is!!!
No soapy crap clichés, but laughter!
David Wang plays so well his role you are just observing him as the sneaky one. He's really the right actor for that!!! I so enjoy watching him!
Victoria Song plays sooo well too with her manners and faces, it's a delight!
Yu shu Xin is annoying as the spoiled brat and she plays soo well too!!! Oh when she eats it's so funny!! I hope she didn't have to repeat the scenes otherwise she'd be super fat!! ha ha ha!
The story is all about ooops and hugh sequences and I love every single one of them!
Of course, there's love, we know how it'll end too but there are many surprises as we go into the episodes!
I cannot say anything bad about this show and wish we had many more like this one.

Well, despite not really feeling like I fully embraced this K-drama, I really did enjoy it. I do not watch and enjoy many Korean romance dramas, which is the reason. Surprise, right? But still, I would say I enjoyed it on a minimal level. It definitely had an old-fashioned, romantic K-drama vibe, which I kind of love.
The fact that I dislike tricking someone I am dating and that it was glaringly obvious that his girlfriend and his employee are the same person are two major reasons why I may not have enjoyed this drama to the fullest. You cannot tell me that wigs and makeup, especially the kind that was applied to the lead female character, will completely alter someone's appearance. I suppose I really cannot say because it might change in some circumstances. But like I said earlier, it is actually a good K-drama.
Consequently, this is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys Korean romantic comedies.

Fun and intriguing... for me its all about CZY

I came here immediately after watching Hidden Love, so you can say I watched this for CZY!

It was a good watch, the storyline was intriguing, there were lots of interesting little twists and turns which made it unique and different. I do think it was a tad confusing especially at the end, and I am not sure if I feel satisfied or not with the ending.

I will say that for me, it is all about CZY, he made me smile and giggle the most, his acting is so stellar and I loved seeing him as a playful and mischievous character.

Personally I will say that as a couple I didn't find a lot of chemistry between SY and CZY, it was natural and fun but not a sparkling and sizzling chemistry that grabbed my attention and pulled my heart strings.

I probably won't rewatch the whole drama again but it was sweet and I will look up my favorite clips.

It is a must watch!!!!

I loved this K-drama, and I learned a lot from it. I don't know why most people are not enjoying season 2 like they enjoyed season 1. Maybe it is because it focused less on the main characters (the revenge team's) backstories and more on the revenge. The series already covered their story in season 1, so they will not have a reason to show it again. Nonetheless, it was still very enjoyable, and the plot twist of a character not being who he truly is made me love it. Although Shin Jae Ha physically did not seem very much like a formidable villain, irrespective of that, he did play his role very well.
Also, I want to say that Mr. Kim Do Gi still needs to go to therapy; he might not be able to fully overcome his trauma, but he will be able to manage it. And I think we can all agree that Mr. Kim is superhuman because he is really doing some sh*t that normal humans can't do.
Anyway, kudos to the crew, cast, and everyone who contributed to the success of the series. I am happy I went against everyone's opinion and still went ahead and watched the series.

Some of the worst dubbing ever

Where to start- Awful dubbing, horrible direction, pretty people, unbelievable story. The acting is not bad, but everything is over done in this drama. Nothing even vaguely feel possible or even desirable. The episodes are short- which is a blessing, and if you want to laugh at sheer foolishness this does pay off. It is a bit like something you could watch in a film class about what not to do, ever.

So many things went wrong here, but by far the worst is the dubbing. The voice actors’ tone rarely match the character or the emotions. There seems to be no attempt to match the lips of the screen actors. This is unusual in good Chinese productions where often the voice actors are superb.

Totally do not watch unless you are in the mood for a farce.

10 For Bravery

I don't apologize for having a double standard for rating any LGBTQIA+ content that gets past China's censors.

Flawed though it is, we are able to watch "Every Moment That I Think of You" only because the people who made it were willing to take risks. Yes, they were very cautious, but probably no more cautious than they had to be.

Perhaps those of us who say, "This, too is BL" are guilty of over-generosity. Perhaps those who say, "This is not BL" are guilty of insensitivity.

Visibility--even between the lines--is the first step on the long road to embracing all love.

A Xianxia definitely worth your time

I am pleasantly surprised with the story and how character driven it is.

First, I am used to Xianxia story having superpower and saving the world. Here in this story, our FL doesn't care about the world. She only seek for peace and love. Every characters are layers, have weakness and strength, clear motivations and desires. At first I was a little skeptical about the multiple suitors. But I am glad each suitors is a person themselves. They are not created to be mere tools or caricature to chase the FL and make our FL looks popular. They are WHOLE beings - who love the FL but also have their own thing. That is why this story has been so engaging. It's not gimmick. There is no misunderstanding tropes. Every action has clear consequences.

I never felt the episode is long. I am never in rush to see what next. Every interaction happens very organically. Every reaction is understandable. The story is pushed forward by the choices each character make - whether you like it or not, you understand WHY. It set in a fantasy, and each character is some kind of bigger than life being. But their struggle, emotions, pains are so all relatable. A very good sign of good story telling.

Costume, sets, music, make up, cinematography, coloring - everything is done with a lot of sense and love. The town in the first arc Qingshui Town, was built from scratch. The actors stayed to film an extra month to make sure they are satisfied with the story. Each actors and actress are doing so well in their character, elevating all the emotions to the next level. All except one (Shiqi) dubbed their own voice. Overall, it's a drama with a cohesive story and you can feel it was made with love and sensibility.

Lack of any chemistry = very hard to recommend

This drama is rough. One of the most obvious downfalls of this show that you’re bound to notice is the lack of chemistry between the leads. I’m struggling to remember a single point where it felt as if they genuinely liked one another. The story takes a ton of twists and turns that constantly put them at odds with one another. What’s worse is that the male lead consistently puts the female lead into uncomfortable positions with sexual advances while emotionally manipulating her. It’s difficult to watch considering his character had so much potential to be more sympathetic . Even the gushy lovey stuff that is inevitable towards the end of romance dramas felt awkward and unearned. The only aspect praiseworthy, in my opinion, was the supporting cast. They were funny, charming, and charismatic. I thought they were the stars of the show aside from some questionable and unethical medical help/practices from a quack doctor

Entertaining but a bit too long

6.5 rating might put you off but it's actually entertaining to watch to an extent. Many people are taking this show seriously so let me lay it out for you guys. Warning, might have a few spoilers

Script:
Now zombieverse isn't a drama, it's technically a variety show. However it's more of a mix between a drama and a variety show. There is a basic script that all the celebs have to follow but anything more than that basic script is all their own genuine reactions/decisions. Dex's rope scene is an example of this (even the zombie forgot he was a zombie for a moment). Also people seem to be upset that it has funny bits ......this is a variety show, it needs to be funny to be entertaining. That's the whole reason why there's a bunch of comedians/known entertainers in the cast.

Actors:
A lot of people have a lot to say about the actors and honestly, as a third person watching this in the comfort and safety of my blankets, yeah some were annoying. The only useful ones were Dex, Siyeong, and Dindin. Hongchul was helpful here and there as well. The others were there for reaction sake. And yes Narae was in fact quite useless and annoying, with her injured leg and all. However, keep in mind that they're reactions to the zombies are unscripted so they're genuinely getting freaked out and mind you the zombie actors were so good it would be freaky even for me to see irl. So while we can get annoyed at the useless if most of the actors, it's probably just how they act when in fear. Not everyone can get up and lead like Dex or Siyeong (mind you Dex is an ex- udt/military man and Siyeong is an amateur boxer so they're used to working in high tense situations)

Music:
Yeah idk what music there was?

Rewatch:
Nah I wouldn't rewatch unless I really wanted to rewatch for Dex or for Siyeong. It's like a one time watch honestly

Closing statements:
If you have nothing to watch go for this. It'll keep you entertained. The only thing I kind of disliked was that I felt it was too long. Instead of 8 episodes I think this should have ended in 6. Almost felt draggy at one point. Adding new types of zombies or new evolution of zombies would have been interesting to see. Comedy bits are sprinkled here and there but it's funniest when the actors break characters (couldn't stop laughing at Patricia's reactions to Johnathan). Overall a 6.5/10. Would love to see a second season especially after that cliffhanger

Lies, deceit, murder and two broken women on a mission.

I may spend 360 days out of an year complaining about draggy dramas that are slow paced and bore me to death but when the weather hits just right and the sun goes down and I am in a certain type of mood, I spend the remaining five days seeking slow burn, dark, art house kind of movies and shows that feed my soul.

The thing with dramas like this is though that they bank heavily on two things: atmosphere and characters. It’s less about what is happening and more on why it is and the psyche behind it. If done well, they can give you a delicious little mental workout while thoroughly creeping you out.

“Lies hidden in my garden” absolutely nails the atmosphere. It delivers on the eeriness, the creep under your skin kind of horror and creates a perfectly unsettling and disturbing mood.

I absolutely love the camera work in this show. Some of the shots are truly stunning cause of how beautifully they overstate or understate events in the drama.

My particular favourite is when a character has this great revelation and the camera takes a 180 degree tilt and it’s almost like you can feel the character’s world turning on its axis.

So absolutely gorgeous cinematography coupled with a decent music score that highlights the underlying tension of the show.

Now, come the characters. I don’t know what it says about me that my choice for the best and most dynamic character in The Glory was Lim Ji yeon’s bully. ? I thought she slayed the role and so, it’s no secret that I picked this show up for her.

Her character here, is again not a very likeable one. She is an extremely broken woman, a victim of domestic violence, pregnant, broke with a sick mother and a burdensome brother to deal with, who is as greedy as she is volatile and as helpless as she is tragic.

LJY steals the spotlight as she flits over her various emotions and I think she delivered the complexities of her character fairly well.

The other most promising character is of the husband- the chilling, absolutely terrifying motherfucker who gaslights and lies as a passion. The actor killed the role and proved to be a very promising villain.

Now, here comes the elephant in the room- Kim Tae Hee and her character with an awful lotta screen time. KTH is a talentless and weak actress who has built a career on face value and it shows. My words are harsh but they are true. She is very uninteresting to watch on screen and gives life to a character that’s inconsistent and hard to empathise with because of how dumb she is.

Just because of her existence, the show loses its edge and brings down its standard.

Other than that, the writing of the show is nothing to sing home about. While the suspense element is done pretty well, the twists are hardly things you can’t see coming. Moreover, some plot lines/characters are introduced only to never be properly explored, making scenes with them just pointless and leading nowhere.

It’s like you understand what the writer wanted to achieve but they didn’t do a very good job doing it.

So, overall It’s an okay-ish show that you can enjoy only when you are in a certain mood. Good thing that it caught me at the right time so I did enjoy it but in good conscience cannot praise it for the quality.

Honestly, I think shows like Anna and movies like Burning and Voice of silence are better alternatives for this show. They’ll give you the same mood and take up less time.

So that’s that.

Enjoy!

Li Lianhua, a physician that famous because of his magic treatment have a hidden secrets about his past. He is actually LiXianyi, a founder of Sigu sect and a number one sword master. He choose to give up his name after incident that make many members of his sect dies, especially his senior.
As Li Lianhua, he seem live carefree freedom that make money by some cunning treatment. But actually he is dying because of Bischa poison during the great battle with a "demon" alliance. Secretly, he also try to find his senior dead body.

It's my first time finished Cheng Yi drama, I think he is nailed as a swindler physician Li Lianhua. His make up as a half dying man also on point. Other actors also have good script and acting.

No explicit bromance here but sometimes lead to it such as how happy Fang Doubing beside LiLianhua. Di Feisheng also have special obsession toward Lilianhua even both of them spend a night together in bridal chamber.

As detective story, many unlogic solution of the case such as face transformation, body splitting, gender shifting, and other magic formulas. So mostly there's no "Aha" moment when we can guess the answer before the actual disclosure scene.

Overall for mystery detective, wuxia, friendship drama, this is good.
