The first Memindy show I’ve ever enjoyed watching

I’m not a fan of Meminy shows. They never get me… This show was pretty good tho. It had some potential but it wasn’t bad. Even tho I don’t like Love in the Air, I would’ve enjoyed it if they gave PrapaiSky and PhayuRain a bit more screentime. Same for the lesbian couple (I forgot their names). The actors of the two main character had such good chemistry and their acting was so good. The show was also made very nicely. I’m not an expert but this show was pretty addicting just because of the cinematic (if that’s a correct english sentence ?). I enjoyed watching it while it was airing but I don’t think I would rewatch it.

This show was so addicting

At first I was very skeptical especially from what I heard about the actors. The first episode was so good and convinced me to keep watching. And I have to say, I’m not disappointed. The chemistry was so good! Everytime Kang and Sailom made eye contact while telling each other how the love and care about each other I was melting. I’m also very happy with the ending. It’s kind of getting annoying to always get new highschool-university bl’s but I’m still convinced that this show is definitely worth watching

A hot cast alone can’t save this show..

Starting off the first episode showcasing both twin brothers having horrible personalities, with no redeeming qualities, doesn’t have my hopes up too high for this show’s future.

Also, the pacing is soooo slow I was falling asleep until the last 5 minutes.

The cast is gorgeous, but with 2 a**hats as the 2 main characters I am tempted to drop. I will give it 1 more ep to show the storyline improving, better pacing, or a glimpse of hope for a character redemption and then I’m out..

ROMANCE WITH A LACK OF DANGER

I had awaited this series for so long! Although there isn't much PerthChimon series, I enjoyed their chemistry. That being said, I was SUPERRR excited when I found out that this series was being made.

It was a strong start, and then became..mid

Was the writing amazing? No. Which sadly leads to why my overall rating decreases.

I truly wanted to enjoy this, I really did. But.. What more can I do when the writing goes down hill?

Sailom seemed like a badass character who can stand up for himself and friends, but then forgives the bully almost right away? Is that really reasonable? No..

Personally, after the stuff Kanghan had did to them, I wouldn't forgive him that easily. I understand that Sailom had liked him before, but I'd still be pretty upset, especially when involving friends.

Putting that aside, the overall story was okay. Just two boys getting closer, and then falling in love. Classic.

The parts near the ending episodes get me upset. The way Kang just let Sailom go when he was going through a tough time as well infuriates me. I understand Kangs father was in a coma and Sailoms brother was the one who was accused, but that doesn't make Sailom the bad guy. If you put your trust in him, that doesn't mean you have to put your trust in his brother. So why act like it's his fault when it's his brothers?

Overall, the chemistry lacked. Off screen, they are adorable. On screen? More of a bromance than a romance. The story was extremely messy as it went on.

The only reason I finished is because I needed something to watch on my Fridays, and I love both of the actors.

If you need something to pass the time, this is right. If you need something to get you invested, this may not be the right choice

to be for real this drama has a lot of secret it's deeper than everything

i've always love romance x historical dramas but this one i really love it's so touching what's happening to women hurts their violence the way they treat them really hurts
i hayed the way the king acts he was like everyone can die but me❌ i really hated when he said "are you letting your king to die"
bro you are adult father znd grandpa you have to try like letting people protect you? are happy to live (without doing anything) when people died for you
at the end i really love main lead's chemistry and the love triangle

I did not expect to like this so much.

I wish I had at least one friend like them, I really love this show because of the synergy between them, it makes me sad that I will not have someone like that in my life, but it still makes me happy to see what friendship really is. The story was very good, I cried, I was happy, the time spent on this show was at least enjoyable and I don't regret it. I'm watching season 2 with very high expectations and I hope it will deliver. I really recommend this to everyone, at least try the first episode and then you can just stop watching if you don't like it.

The VoiceOver

The drama was good not The best. i likes The actors playing in the series. but quality was not my favorite I think some places there where to much close up scenes on the faces. and their voices sound like a Dub or something or more like they talked in the Microphone and kinda didn’t like that.

the drama itself is cute and how but there need more practice

I prefer the Thai Why R U more still but this is a whole different why R u so ofc it’s not the same.

I do not hate this drama I do not. i like that the relationship wasn’t rushed as it was in the Thai drama for the 2nd lead couple.

Pretty good for a short drama.

I love the fact that their marital life was realistic. It was a good development.

I really like the fact that FL wasn't the typical woman/child we see in so many drama...

The story is not perfect, but when we compare this short drama with short drama from the same category, we can appreciate the storyline, and developing of the storytelling.

I can't give a 10, but it's so close to perfection

I loved the story and I'm so eager to watch season 2, for so many reasons.
I still have some doubts about the ending and the special episode ('cause as far as I understood, Khun Yai never traveled to the present in the novel, and in episode 12 he was not travelling, but how was it possible? It was just Jom's imagination? Who knows.

If I have to say something negative, there were some parts I found a bit boring to watch (in the middle of the series), but it didn't stop me from watching the series.

I loooooved the chemistry between the leads, and I think Bright is one of my favourite thai actors at the moment.
Nonkul is fine too, but Bright caught my attention from the start.
Their love is so pure and realistic, that I believed every minute of it.

Of course, if you're not a time-travel fan, please, skip this drama.
There's a lot of history (which is not easy to understand for foreigners, even though it's not undermining the plot at all), and I get that it's not everyone piece of cake.
But if you focus on their romantic journey, it's so good.
The side stories are also well written and interesting (Eung Peung and Maey are soooo cute), while it is super dramatic at times, it's not heavy. I enjoyed it a lot and I will wait patiently for the special episode and S2.
(Bright is so good with that ugly mustache... so who am I to miss this?)

One of the best romance dramas ever!!

I've been watching this since the day it started airing when I accidentally found it on youtube and I am so glad I decided to watch this. It's really the best and now my mind is completely filled with thoughts about this. Each and every episode was so good that every week I was not able to watch anything else after watching this. I couldn't even sleep properly because I kept thinking about this just like now. Whether there's a season 2 or not this is still the best drama I watched this year. And I really loved the ending because even if there's no season 2 I already saw Yai and Jom meeting in the modern times. But I do want to see Jom travelling back to the past and also see how Yai was in that life.

I really love love stories where the love lasts through several lifetimes or for hundreds or thousands of years. So Yai's love and dedication to him in all his lives is really beautiful to me. And I feel bad for him because he had to live a lifetime missing and waiting for his love. Just thinking about how strong his love for Jom is to live with so much pain just to keep his promise is making me cry. I don't know when was the last time I cared and felt this deeply for a character. He's so beautiful, kind and romantic that I can't help but love him. Also he's like the definition of romantic... everything he does or says is romantic. When will I ever find another character like him?? After writing all this I realise Yai is what I loved the most about this series. But I do love all the other characters too... especially Jom. He went through so much in his life so I'm glad he found Yai... in the past and the present. Also another thing I loved about this drama is that the supporting characters and their stories never felt boring to me. I loved each one of them. It gave me a better understanding of how life might have been during that time.

Another thing I loved about this drama is the acting. Everyone acted so well and it never felt awkward or bad. And the chemistry between the main leads was the best! Bright and Nonkul's acting and their chemistry made me believe in Yai and Jom's love.

And the OSTs are really the best! I've been listening to the OSTs by ASIA7 and COCKTAIL on repeat ever since I found them. And now I have two more beautiful songs to listen to.

The more I think about this drama the more I want a season 2. I thought I would be okay without one but now I feel like I won't be. Also I want it so that I can finally read the novel in peace. Anyway this drama is definitely one of my most favourites ever.

… And I hope you will linger forever

A little warning: I don’t know enough about Thai history and the historical period the series is set in to comment on the accuracy. I felt like a lot of it seemed as if it could be accurate, but I have no knowledge if that’s true or not.

I am absolutely amazed by this series! I loved the trailer and all the teasers, but the series itself… that was a masterpiece! The plot was interesting, it wasn’t something that we have seen often in BLs. And the plot twists were very well thought through. Some were expected, but a lot of them were quite surprising. The historical setting was beautiful, I really loved the house and its surroundings that we got to see. The OST is beautiful and full of emotion, just like the series.

We get to see a lot of different relationships, both good and bad ones. They did a great job portraying the differences between the rich and the poor. They also addressed a lot of important topics, but one I want to stop at is the relationship between a couple, and what is and is not okay. It was a big step in the right direction (and I truly wish this would be the standard) when it comes to validating relationship trauma. Both Ueang Peung and Fong Kaew suffered under Robert, even if they came from very different backgrounds. And I am glad that their pain was validated, that their trauma was seen.

The series was incredibly heavy on emotions. I felt emotionally drained after each episode, but I think that is a good way. It shows that they portrayed those scenes incredibly well. There was something that has us on the edge of the seat in each episode.

Yai & Jom: the two of them were destined to be together. Jom travelled to the past, and he struggled with adapting to the period he was thrown into. I do think his struggles, especially with things that are now seen as normal or forbidden, really made it appear believable. He is heartbroken, but that doesn’t change the fact that he is a warm, caring, and loyal person. Yai seems almost trapped in his life. He’s similar to Jom in the sense that he too is very caring and soft. I liked how Jom brought out a more independent side of Yai, a side that was daring and has bit dreams. And Jai helped Jom mend his broken heart, he showed him that there’s still hope and beauty in life. Their story was a slow burn, but it was so worth the wait. Bright and Nonkul have amazing chemistry. The way they looked at each other, the small touches, how they always tended to gravitate towards one another… beautiful.

Eeang Peung and Maey are one of the side couples. I found the two adorable, I really liked their relationship and the way the two seemed to have been together for a very long time. The support they showed to one another was amazing. I also liked Fong Kaew and Khamsaen as a couple, they went through a lot and might seem very unlikeable at first (I still hate their present selves and what they did to Jom), but both grew a lot throughout the series.

I really liked a lot of the side characters. No matter if they were good or bad, the actors playing them really nailed the roles. Ming is the kind of friend we all want. James has a lot more dimension than I expected. Lek was a cutie, even if he was very spoiled.

A fluffy story

I wasn't expecting much, but the story started as a fluffy cute teenagers friendship, and ended with a fluffy cute teenagers couple.

I loved that they didn't make it too complicated, and relied more on honesty and clarity between the 2 leads.
Both are extremely cute and soft hearted in the series, and even though it was short, it was beautifully depicted.

A good 2 hours and a half to spend with joy and cuteness, without anything rushed or shoved down the viewer's throat.
Amane has a lonely past, but Ryuji-kun makes up for it. And it's lovely.

A BL Where It's Obvious It Was Filmed With Only Half of the Script Complete

To start off, the pilot trailer did not interest me AT ALL last year and the official trailer interested me even less. I only watched the first episode because 1) I was missing watching Be My Favorite on Fridays and 2) ViewJune had become an official GL pair in the time between the pilot and the first episode that I was interested in if they would have a GL romance in the show (spoiler: They do not until the last episode as it's a student-teacher relationship). I dropped it after the first episode and re-picked it up halfway through the show. About half of the show is montages!!! It annoyed the hell out of me that Sailom's confession was intercut with montages of KangSai, considering we had only 4-5 episodes of their interactions anyway up to that point!! The show even resorted to showing us flashbacks of stuff that the audience had JUST SEEN. The constant montages and flashbacks made the first half of the show feel very empty. However, the second half of the show does pick up with shining performances from the side couples GuyNawa and SaifahName. I would do anything for a mini-series following Saifah and Name which were the real dangerous romance of this show. The last thing that truly saved this show for me was Perth and Chimon's performance, they truly are Actors.

Nothing dangerous about THIS romance

Dangerous Romance has been, for me, the biggest disappointment for BLs this year. Here are my pros and cons:

PROS

FIRST TWO EPISODES. The bullying was brutal, but the drama was intense. Based on the first two episodes, I felt that I might be giving this series a 10. (Sigh.)

GRANDMA. The best character on any series, ever.

PIMFAH. Loved her.

SAILOM. I liked him as a character, especially in the first part of the series.

GUY/NAVA. Hawt and sexy. They could have their own gay porn channel.

MAX/AUTO. They obviously became close friends. I could have shipped them as a couple.

SAIFAH'S BODY. Please pass me a fan.

CONS

STORY. First 2 eps were compelling. Kang did a complete (and inexplicable), 180 starting in Ep 3. He became so sickeningly sweet, we might as well have been watching Barney and Friends. Kang never apologized for his early psycho behavior, and we could have skipped Eps 3 through 9 without missing anything.

KANG/SAILOM. No chemistry. I mean ZERO. Should have become friends and that's it. I can't imagine the two of them having sex, or least being any good at it.

KANG'S DAD. I thought he would at least be some kind of sinister character, but he was just a wimp. That lame ass excuse for not expecting anything from Kang was ridiculous. And then we were supposed to LIKE him? I hope he steps on a pebble every time he's barefoot.

KANG'S GUNSHOT WOUND. So in Ep 11, Kang was shot, although you'd never know it. In his arm? In his back? There was no screaming out in pain, he just hugged Sailom with a smile on his face. And how could the gunman not have killed Kang? He was less than two feet away.

THE WIND/WINDMILL THING. I suppose it was cute, once. But Kang KEPT bringing it up, to the point where we all wanted to barf. (And it's dumb anyway... a windmill does need wind, but wind does not need a windmill.)

Despite my low rating, I did enjoy parts of this series. I gave it a fairly high rewatch value, because I actually did rewatch quite a lot of it. But it did not deliver what was initially advertised. What could have been a brilliant series just fizzled.

it's a 5.0 from me.
