Still smiling thinking about this show 10 months later

I watched this underrated drama 10 months ago in 3 days and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about it. Taeyang and Taejun have to be one of my top 3 kdrama couples.

Lets start off with the story. So the show mainly focuses on Taejun, Taeyang, badminton and their relationship with each other as well as the sport. Personally I am not a fan of sports dramas, however I loved this one. I think the show has a very good ratio of badminton to drama. One thing that did take me by surprise is the fact that this show is honestly a light hearted melodrama. Taejun and Taeyang both have a lot of childhood trauma, family issues and psychological issues that they both need to overcome in order to make their relationship work and to fulfil their dreams as badminton players. Although, in the later quarter of the drama the show can be more emotional and serious (the story does need to progress so no complaints from me) there is also plenty of comedy relief. From the team, to the many coaches, love all play had me smiling and giggling. The show also does have multiple couples which was enjoyable but didn't shy away from the main couple. The Yunis team also does live in dorms so there is a sense of that University life within the show.

NOW ONTO THE GOOD BIT. Never in my life have I watched a kdrama and loved a couple this much. Their chemistry was absolutely perfect and found myself having butterflies and smiling anytime Chae Jong Hyeop smiled. Seriously my jaw hurt from smiling so much, kicking my feet in joy, putting my phone down whenever the scene was too sweet. No character has boyfriend the way Taejun has boyfriend in a show. From the minute he saw her it was like love at first sight and pursued her so persistently and cutely, I too was falling for him. He was so obsessed with her ( as he should be) and smitten and I have genuinely never enjoyed watching a man pursue a woman in a romance drama so much in my life. I have genuinely rewatched this show so many times because I have yet to find a couple that I like more than them two.

Park Juhyun is one of my favourite Korean actresses and have literally watched every single one of her kdramas. She embodies versatility and it was a delight seeing her play yet another different character so well. I will always look forward to any kdrama she has coming up. In addition, this was the first kdrama that I've watched from Chae Jonghyeop and his acting was great. I have never seen an actor fit the 'golden retriever/ sunshine' trope so well. Of course the supporting cast were amazing as well!

The music was also great very catchy and uplifting.

Now, if I had any complaints it would be about Taeyang and the situation that caused her to leave badminton in the past. Although I understand why characters were angry, Taeyang did NOT deserve to be treated the way she was. I don't want to say too much because I do not want to include any spoilers but that situation was frustrating in the sense that it really wasn't solely her fault and people should take responsibility for themselves instead of pinning the blame.

I would definitely recommend this drama to any one who is a big fan of romance and doesn't mind sports dramas. Like I said it is not a full on melodrama however you can fill the essence of a melodrama. I have genuinely rewatched this drama every month and watch edits everyday of the Park twin couple!!

I enjoyed this drama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This drama skillfully navigated the complexities of the mother-daughter relationship, portraying the evolution from the challenges of teenage pregnancy to the shared experiences of navigating adulthood. The dynamic of Jin Hee still living with her mother adds a realistic touch, and the constant bickering provides a relatable and human aspect to their relationship.

The introduction of Dr. Park Jin Hong and the workplace dynamics with Eun Jae Won added a mix of personal and professional challenges for the characters. This blend of storylines adds layers to the overall plot and enhances the viewing experience.

The successful balancing of various genres, including mystery, comedy, romance, and drama, is a commendable aspect. Achieving this balance make this drama appealing.

This drama delivered on its promises and provided a well-executed exploration of family dynamics, personal challenges, and professional relationships.

Unique and Intriguing

"Behind Your Touch" unfolds as a captivating blend of genres, weaving together mystery, crime, comedy, and supernatural elements seamlessly which keeps the audience engaged with its unique premise and well-developed characters. The blend of mystery, crime, comedy, and supernatural elements, along with the characters' distinct personalities and backgrounds, created a rich and entertaining narrative.

The well-developed characters, such as the veterinarian Bong Ye Bun and the demoted detective Moon Jang Yeol, bring distinct personalities and backgrounds to the narrative to the storytelling. The introduction of the mysterious figure, Kim Seon Woo, introduces unexpected twists, keeping the audience engaged and guessing until the very end.

It had a good level of suspense and intrigue that kept me guessing until the end . It's always satisfying when a story can maintain that sense of mystery and unpredictability.

The rural setting also adds a different flavor to the storytelling, providing an interesting backdrop for the unfolding events. The drama incorporates lighthearted moments, balancing the more intense elements with some comedic relief.

"Behind Your Touch" is not just a crime-solving drama; it's a character-driven story that explores the dynamics between its protagonists and delivers a rich and entertaining narrative. If someone is a fan of mysteries with a touch of the supernatural and enjoys character-driven stories, it sounds like "Behind Your Touch" could be a worthwhile watch.

What an ending....

Watch this for my MDL Watch Challenge 2023, but turn out quite fun journey. Unfortunately they leave such an ending...

My journey with this drama you could say quite up & down. The first half quite boring & nothing too much, just your usual youth drama. The second half, when the romance start rolling, the story quite interesting. But once again such unfortunate ending...

What I like:
+ Ren Chu (RC) is realy interesting. He is a nerd, but when it comes to Lu Wan Wan (WW), he's quite attentive. He doen't know how to please a girl, that's ok now we have internet that we can research anything on it. Haha... How many our nerdy guy that we can say has that initiatives... But unfortunately he met the 'dumn' WW. She has no clue that that top guy like her even with all the clue given by RC. And that actually make this story quite funny to watch.
+ The chemistry between RC & WW quite good. I can sense their vibes....
+ The friendship. All the closest friend of RC & WW is really good friends. Of course I'm talking about 2 other couple, Meng Xi Bai (XB) - Wang Xin Yu (XY) & Fan Yi - Gu Qiao
+ Not all the problem revolve around our main lead. I really like when the put the light into the relationship of XB & XY. Yeah when the couple together, it shouldn't only put light into one person & what XY did really only put everything about XB in her first priority. And I really like how XB put XY priority aside from himself, even at first he kinda hurt XY.
+ The good communication between RC & WW. They leave no space for misunderstanding between them...

What I don't too like:
- ML surrounded by nerdy guy. Yeah I know sometimes we choose the friend that looked a like with us. But for me tleven his friend is just too much similar with him...
- The ML is the smartest guy in his environment... Haha... Yeah the show just show us everyone around RC is dumber than him....
- The ending. Hesitate to put it here or not. But i think I gonna skip on the big spoiler & only scream that we need another ep / at least special ep to wrap this series

Overall this fluffy & cute youth drama with such disappointment ending...

START WATCHING IF YOU HAVEN'T......

a true HIDDEN GEM i think it is .
i first watched a video of this drama and it made me start watching the show in instant . it will engaged you from the first episode with it's story and it's suspense. it is fast pashed ( IT'S A SHORT DRAMA ) and will be not bored you for a minute.
the story of the drama was good and the cast did a great job in that too.
the cast have done a very good job in their acting. the ML and FL was on fire.... i say.
i like the cuteness between them. as over ML was cold and ruthless in the first episodes but as the story between this two progress we get the cute, caring and a very healthy ML. the chemistry was on fire between the leads. it was not forceful at all.
the FL have done her job very good .
the story, acting, direction, cinematography, music, production was very good and i like the past scene of the leads because i made sense as why they fall for each other.
i have not watch any short cdrama before it but after i saw it i became a fan too. the director of this drama have made many short dramas and they all are very good .

IF YOU WANT TO WATCH A DRAMA IN ONE GO WITH GOOD ACTING, GREAT CINEMATOGRAPHY, STRONGE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN LEADS , ALL IN ONE THEN GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW.

Typical M&B romance

!! Beware !! Please leave your logic out the window when you decide to continue watching this, coz I'm telling you, there will be a lot of ridiculous, inconsistent and illogical scenes in the story that will make you fume and drop this 😂

Luckily for me, I did just that and I get to enjoy and finish until the last episode.
The only redeeming quality here, imho, was the nifty acting skill of Fan Zhi Xin... It was truly impressive and did justice to his character, the first time I have realized he has real potential.

Watch this purely for romance (if you have time and patience) and just go with the flow. 😉

Action speaks louder than words_A true GEM

If you're a fan of BL like me, "The Untamed" will definitely be on top of your favorite list.

This was my first ever Chinese drama during the pandemic and I didn't know what to expect when I watched it. Little did I know that this was actually a live action of the anime version of Mo Dao Zu Shi, which is one of my favorite anime.

For someone who have not read the novel, the plot was entertaining and exhilarating, easy to get immerse into. The combination of action, suspense, comedy and even the subtle romance will be a good recipe for an enjoyable watch until the end.

WYB and XZ were the perfect cast for the main roles. Their visuals, chemistry and acting skills added flair to the drama.

The ending may not be the same as in the novel or anime but after learning about CN's censorship, I don't mind it. I've loss count of the times I have rewatch this but it never gets old hahaha

A true masterpiece at its finest!

Sorry im suddenly mad

I watched this drama three years ago. At the time I wasn’t really into reviewing nothing, but I happened to see a review that made me question a lot of things.

So, some people find it ridiculous that many of us rate this drama with 10, so gonna try to be objective as they want. Let’s start with the premise of the drama, which is very different from what we had seen until that date: A North Korean man meets a South Korean woman, two nations at war, very interesting, but that doesn’t stop there 'cause apart from the excellent plot we have an excellent cast as well.

In the cast we have a well known Korean stars, Hyunbin and Son Yejin and we have cameos from other equally recognized celebrities, in addition we have the rest of the cast who truly played their role very well, giving us excellent performances. And now, one of the most importants things of dramas (for me, in my opinion) the music, for me if a drama has a bad OST. It stops being attractive to me and well, I don't really know how to start talking about one of the most excellents OST I've heard on my time watching kdramas (since 2014), I do not lie when I say that each of the songs of this drama are EXCELLENT, I spent all of February 2020 and March 2020 listening to the ost in a loop on spotify and even to nowadays, when I listen to some of its songs I get drenched in my skin, they certainly made the best song choices.

I guess, I finished talking about the most superficial things, now let’s talk about the plot. We start from the premise of the romeo and juliet the korean peninsula version. Of course, there were things in the script that I found quite comical and unrealistic, like the fact that she traveled to the other country in parachutes, the cgis at the moment failed to me and I was laughing to see the cow flying next to her.

On the other hand, talking about the plot, the story of seri's stepmother also seemed to me so random and left me thinking about where seri's father was while her daughter was having hard times.. and guess I'll debate a little bit about what I read in the other reviews, the villain’s story.

I hated that man, I hated him because he’s bad and many people thought he had no reason to be bad, and I don’t understand why y'all focus on that? there are people who are bad just because they want to, it’s nothing out of the world, people do not always need to have motivations to do bad things, most of the time, giving motivation to villains, telling their stories to the viewer is done to humanize them, that way, people could feel sorry for them. In this case the authors didn't want to humanize the man, it was just a mad man.

Another thing got people asking why and gotta say Im a bit agree with them, It's the ending... I don’t know about you, but I see dramas to get away from reality, yes I can be very critical sometimes and I end up watching series that beforehand we know will end up badly, but the silly romantic endings (with some logic) always beat me. So a fun fact: the ending of CLOY, it was not the original ending. Originally they had planned that both were separated in the line of the parallel 38 and never see each other again, if that ending has happened I would've been beyond sad, so I am grateful that they left the ending that seemed ridiculous to some people and even so, it was a bittersweet one. 'Cause come on, they see each other only TWO WEEKS at year, TWO WEEKS. I don’t know about you, but that seems very bittersweet to me, but it would've been worse if they never have seen each other again. I understand that they probably find everything laughable, but all of this, are things that could happen in real life.

In conclusion, I loved, love and will love this drama forever, its my favorite one, however it does not take away the objectivity of my review because believe me that I know it has flaws, I have seen it many times to find them, I did it. Regardless, drama's flaws are less than the big value the drama has.

there's no reviews so you know i had to drop one

well hello! this is my first time writing a review. this isnt gonna be a full on long serious review since, well, this isnt a very long serious show either. if you're here i assume you know what the show is, but if not - this is jaejoong's silly youtube show where - to summon it up - they invite guests, make jaejoong guess who it is and then they sit down and have a talk while he cooks. its a very fun to watch show. im sure that even if you aren't very familiar with jaejoong you would still enjoy it. hes a silly funny guy and the way he interacts with guests is very comforting, entertaining and heartwarming all at the same time. you can tell the guests are always very comfortable around him which makes the show very fun to watch! it's also very genuine and i feel like it's way less ... censored? as in there's not as much filtering when it comes to talking compared to other shows similar to this one. talking about careers, past groups, companies, its all allowed here. this show is one of the reasons of why i got more interested in jaejoong as an individual, he's a very likeable person and i got attached immediately. if you ever need something to watch while sipping on coffee or eating lunch, this show is definitely great to watch while doing that. i recommend it a lot to everyone, but especially to those who are interested in hearing about backstories and stories from the past of the guests (as well as jaejoong himself), to those who are interested in the entertainment industry, and those who are a fan of talk (like podcasts) in general. its a very nice show. oh! and jaejoong is hilarious so be prepared to laugh a lot :) absolutely nothing to complain about. if you're already reading this check out his music too! he has a diverse discography and it's really good. final rating 10/10

wanting it all to wanting to become normal

It's so cute at first then as it went on, it grows up and ends up being so heart wrenching along side with them literally growing up. I would kinda say it's realistic cause as far as I have watched BL dramas from japan, one of the leads most likely would want to become "normal" cause it's not that quite like-able to be in such relationships in japan.

What I like is from the beginning, when they met on the sidewalk line, it was super cute! The way they told each other about their imagination on the line that if they fell out of the line, they will be attacked by some things lol it was super adorable way to connect the two leads. When they ended up living together and acting like husband and wife, everything up to that point onwards the episodes just went down-hill from there.

I kinda hate Akira's behavior, I knew he was selfish from when Akira was lowkey pursuing Yuuki but it was not consensual since he just outright kisses him first a lot of times without actually asking Yuuki first about it. You could sense that he's bad news just from there, he decided everything by himself without asking how it would feel for the other! JUST LIKE WHEN HE BROKE UP WITH HIM cause he thought that what his current happiness is not normal but what others experience such as having a wife and family is the normal happiness. He wasn't content and did not overthink it first before making a decision, for a character like Yuuki who was always imaginative but not far away from reality, I thought Akira would be more mature and guide Yuuki but he guide him on his single era and not being able to move on cause he was left confused. I JUST WISHED that he at least made Akira pay for it but it is what it is when you're in-love, you forgive easily which made me really bitter on the ending.

blood, sweat and tears were put onto this masterpiece

Insanely good!! Since they were kids, they were already meant to be together or it's a soulmate thing. It's a well-crafted progressive story that is filled with so many rollercoaster of emotions, if you watch this, you're in for a ride. It's so intense and I think it just portrayed what it's meant to portray on the screen, they picked the right story, actors, music and everything just hit the right spot.

I applaud the director for this, it's so perfect! It's like watching a person's whole life where you know everything and watched them grow up. You can see and feel the emotions, every character has a purpose and isn't left out and because of that you sympathize with every character and understands them fully and that was so genius of the director.

Things that I don't like is how Teh was seeing Tan while flirting and developing feelings and initiating intimate moments with Oh-aew, it's giving cheating vibes even though the two weren't fully in a relationship yet and gosh Teh I know you're in-love but you're crazy for sacrificing your whole future for Oh-aew which he didn't even asked for so of course he would feel guilty about it!!

Memorable moments was when Oh-aew with the bra scene! It was so heart wrenching being not the type of gender and not having those body qualities of the other gender that make the person you love aroused, you really can't choose anything you're born with but it's so freaking awful just not having the things that the person you like prefers.. which becomes a problem and people would say such relationship won't work but the series told me otherwise that if you really value and want to stay with the person, such things will not matter that much.

Dropped after 2 episodes

- I just can't with this whiney ML
- don't like the editing style in general, although I enjoyed some scenes.
- don't like the manga this dude is drawing xd
- don't like the female friend -> to overdone
- don't like the overacting, even if it's typical for japanese dramas. (At least this is what I read about a lot of japanese dramas. I'm new to them lmao) I already watched drama where I can stand this, where I even can enjoy it and find it funny! but here: no chance
- I think the story is very predictible, so I prefer to safe my time and not force myself to watching this
- it's just boring and nothing in this story is exciting or interesting to me. x.x
- I really don't like the humour at all.

+ Tsubasa is actually a character I like so far!
+ Shiny smile (Issay expected lol) is overall a group of characters I really like! Probably would enjoy a show about them a lot more lol.
+ Kyou is goddamn cute.
+ I really like Ryuujis calm personality.
+ Yeah...totally whipped for Shiny Smile, sorrynotsorry.

I don't want to say people shouldn't watch this show, because obviously a lot of people enjoyed it. But for me, it's just not it. I wouldn't say it's a bad show, but it's definitely not for me. So don't hesitate and if you're interested, give it a try!

A TYPICAL K- ROM-COM BUT ROWOON STEEL THE SHOW

i first i started watching this show was only for the cast because as i am big fan of rowoon (ML) and his acting as it is improving in every drama and jo bo ah (FM) as i have have watched her in TALE OF THE NINE TAILED and her chemistry is really good with ML .
the story is really basic one as every korean rom-com have and it was very much predictable but there were some scenes that keep me engaging very much. the past life was much basis but they did the good job in telling it . they make it suspense till the end of the drama .
the 2ML will become memorable as well for me. because he did very good job in his part . i don't like it when they show him in his past life but he did not became like that in the present that was pleasing. his chemistry with the FL was good and those 3 have many COMEDIC moments that made the show enjoyable.
ROWOON have still my heart again in this drama , he have nailed it in the show. he portrayed the cold and cool lawyer and a cute and clingy boyfriend very well. in the first few episode when he was chasing the FL that made me fall for him again , he did it well ( FIGHT WITH ME IF I AM WRONG ) .
it could be 12 or 14 episode drama with not too dragging in the last episode,
as i wanted their wedding scene not other supporting leads and not become brother but father ( YOU'II KNOW IT )

IF YOU LIKE ROWOON'S DRAMA LIKE I DO THEN YOU SHOULD GIVE IT A TRY AS I DID .. HE WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH, GIVE BUTTERFLIES. AND MAKE YOU CRY ALSO.

was okey-ish at the start but at the end it was just a no for me..

First of all the two main leads don't have any chemistry at all for me.. I couldn't even feel it in the last scene when they kissed. It would have been better if she didn't end up with anyone. And just stayed as friends or ended up with the other guy that is in a kpop group yk.. they had at least some chemistry bc it would have been the enemy to lovers trope (which I love btw). But either way I wish I had just not watched this at all..

Lack of Storytelling, or something like that.. x.x

Like:
+ The soundtrack is absolutely great! Supports the scenes perfectly in atmosphere.
+ The display of emotions is good. I was definitely touched by the story, the characters, their feelings. I could clearly see how someone felt.

Room for improvement:
- although I could see how the felt, I couldn't really understand why they felt this way. Here we come to my biggest problem with this show ->
- the kind of storytelling. I don't have a problem with the time jumps. Actually really liked them. But I do have a problem with the way they tell the story. They just show a bunch of scenes, but imho there is a huge lack of explaining the story. I couldn't understand Yuki at first. And then I couldn't understand Akira. Although Akiras reasons are explained a bit better later, it was still hard to figure out why they behave in a certain way sometimes. And because of the time jumps all the time I got a feeling of being disconnected to the story. I couldn't hold on to this feeling, because I always got ripped out of the moment. And then confusion started to built up, because I got a lot of situations I didn't really understand and they stacked. ^^'
- I think, another problem with this was the lack of chemistry. What I mean is..is see the emotions and I know, what I should feel. But I don't feel anything. I wasn't in awe with them.. u.u the acting was quite okay. So I don't think this was the matter. I think, the chemistry was missing, because I didn't understand the characters behavior.

The story focus a lot of Akira and his personal growth, so Yuki is getting lost a bit. I would have liked to get told more about his difficulties regarding skinship etc. So for me, watching the show was like: I see it. I see the emotions. But my brain couldn't figure out why they made certain decisions, because so many things wasn't explained probably for my taste. "Show, don't tell" is the way to go for me.

I was definitely hooked and not bored at all. I can understand the good reviews. The show has definitely a really special vibe! But for me, it could have been better explained (I mean, show more of the thoughts they have, more communication with each other etc, you know?) Because I often see myself struggle with understanding storylines, behavior, decisions etc., when the reasons behind it aren't clearly portrayed.

I feel like my review is as confusion as the show for me lmao. So sorry for that. I really struggle to put my thoughts about this into understandable words. x.x

Gotta go watch the Director's Cut know and hope I'll understand it a little bit better. :D Don't let my review hold you back from watching it. Give it a try!
