This is the drama I have been waiting for my entire life! [so to speak, since I've only been watching them for half a year...] This drama's style fits my taste perfectly. It's the kind of drama that won't make you cry one bit yet still keep you interested. I had almost given up hope that such a drama exists until I came across this one. I used to think that no matter how funny or light an Asian show is, it will still get very serious and dramatic at one point, because it's unavoidable and all dramas must have heartbreaking moments. I was SO WRONG. There is ONE exception (that I know of so far) and that is called Fondant Garden.

    I started watching it

Fondant Garden was initially a early season pick up on a rainy weekend. What it turned out to be was quite different--a drama that I really enjoyed for its cute factor and for the most part, its story.

Park Jung Min is seriously adorable in this, so if you are a fan, you will enjoy him in Korean (for parts) and in Taiwanese (dubbed). He brings so much to the character of Han Ji/Pu Xi Huan. Even though this is a comedy, he brings a lot of cute expressions that make him that much funnier.

The music for this drama is fairly well done. The opening theme is very cute, and on film, the opening theme is probably one of the most creative and bright in

I've noticed King never gets the lead girl in any of the dramas I've seen. Jung Min was cute, but kind of silly at times. Man Shu's character was annoying, but at least she had some serious baking skills.

I wonder what happened to Tan Rui since he disappeared in the last few episodes. I wish I could have seen more development in his relationship with Chen Ai Lin :(

I've watched two episodes, some funny scenes here and there, good cast... so I wanna keep watching but I can't find videos in better quality. For now: on hold.

Oh no...here's the same dubbed-voice-problem as in Skip Beat (that's why I dropped it anyway) -_-
Well, I'm just in the middle of the first episode so i'll finish it and see if I will continue watching this drama just for the sake of Park Jung Min angel face :p

Park Jung Min's voice is dubbed over? But when I was watching bloopers/outtakes, he was saying his lines in Chinese....
  • canyousaywhuut Aug 9, 2012
I'm on episode 1 and the language is confusing me. One second, it's Chinese, then another, Korean. I was like, "wth??!" I wish they'd just concentrate on one language in one conversation not two languages in just one conversation. It's damn confusing... :((

Nonetheless, I'm enjoying the episode. ;)

Now that I think of it, whatever happend to Johnny Lu's character? I was so caught up in the cute that I didn't think of him.
    • Danceinthesunlight Jun 12, 2012
I know! I was thinking the same thing lol They just forgot about his character :( That poor guy deserved something better. At least they should have added a part showing his innocence regarding those accidents.

I know, right? I wanted him to have some sort of closure. He may not have made all the best decisions, but all he's really guilty of is one-sided love.

I'm really going to miss this one! I adored its cuteness! ^_^ I don't think any other drama will top this one on my list. Seriously, they'd have to have Jung Min as a lead and the same kind of story. Else this will remain on top in my heart <3

Really simple storyline, at times did feel like it was dragging slightly. But I think the cute moments and the acting made up for it.
