After watching a high jump competition on TV, Lu Rui Xi was so inspired by a jumper named Zuo Yi Quan that she decides to transfer to his school, which happened to be an all-boys school; therefore, she disguises herself as a boy to get accepted. At the school, Rui Xi befriends Jin Xiu Yi. One day during a friendly soccer match, Rui Xi is knocked unconscious by Xiu Yi. Quan carries her to the infirmary and realizes that Rui Xi is in fact a girl! However, Quan keeps her identity a secret. At the same time, Xiu Yi starts to question his own sexual orientation when he finds himself having feelings towards Rui Xi.

Ok... Don't freak out... and don't kill me... but i think... i think i like this version more than the 2007 Japanese one (I don't count the 2011 version... ever... so let's just pretend that it didn't happen, ok?). DON'T KILL ME! It's going to be ok! Everything is gonna be fine... Don't get me wrong, i LOVE the Japanese version... but to me Horikita Maki just couldn't pass as a dude... Ever... and that is not because i have a strange female crush on her (Ok it might be just a little bit, but you've gotta admit...she is ridiculously adorable). Ella on the other hand... if I didn't already know... i would've never guessed that she was a chick. I mean sure she has got some female features, but overall she is very boyish in this drama (and it works for her, because she is still pretty).

The story is actually very good, and very different to the Japanese version, which makes it easier to watch. You don't feel like you are watching the same drama at all, and that is nice because then it is easier not to compare the two. even though it is not a spoiler really i'm stil gonna write this SPOILER!!! SPOILER!!! The ending is shit. which bums it a bit in my book... I know that there was supposed to be like a seaon two or something but still...

The acting: Again, as i said, Ella was a really good choice for the role. A lot of people bash it for being too over exaggerated, and i can kinda see where they come from, but personally i don't mind it at all... i think it kinda adds to the charm of the whole show. and as for the guys acting... let me just get this out of the way... HotHotHotHotHotHotHot!!! oh and their acting is good too, but it's kinda hard to concentrate on... Did i mention that they are really hot??

Music:I LOVED the intro tune... but aside from that... can't remember any other songs... But the intro... So good!

Overall i really liked the show it was cute and funny and all that jazz, but it is very much a chick drama. And if you're like me and you love that sort of thing i would recommend you go check it out... In the very least it is a laugh. read more

This is the first verion of Hana Kimi I watched, I have watched all of them and I'm currently watching the Korean version thats airing at the moment. First off I want to say that all the versions are totaly different from each other and are great in their own right. having said this I think this version is one of the better ones, it's colourful, funny the cast are brilliant and I love the opening tune, which still makes me smile when I hear it!

i like this one the most too, cause it focuses on the things that i really liked in the manga, and the feeling throughout the whole drama is really good :D

It makes me wonder what planet I'm on, the fact I Still haven't watched is and I've only JUST noticed Wang Jiro & Chen Ella are in it make's me think I'm crazy.

Gaah what's with that bloody ending!? Don't get me wrong I loved it, I mean Wu Chun, Danson Tang, Wang Jiro and Tang Ryan was extremely HOT!! and Ella was cute and the story was really good, but that bloody ending, it was good but not what I wanted it to be! Therefore I just can't give this more than 9/10. But thank God I watched it, got a few celebrity-crushes :P ^^

I dropped this drama after the first 3 episodes because I couldn't stand Ella's over exaggerated acting as well as Wu Chun's emotionless and at times awkward acting. His body is so hot but his face is like a rock.
should I give this drama another chance? :$

The fact that I watched the Japanese(best) version just makes me keep comparing both dramas and the taiwanese version is not giving me a good impression right now :/

  i remember laughing a LOT in the TW version, because the japanese version had such weird humour (typical of japanese people i guess). i enjoyed both versions (watched the japanese ver. first). i think it takes awhile for die hard fans to enjoy the same storyline when it's brought forth in other languages. definitely give it another chance though :)

  I cant remember if I dropped it or not, but the reason I dont watch many films/shows with Ella is b/c she exaggerates too much and she's soooo damn loud, lol! She just needs to tone down some and she'll become great!

hahaha:D i just rewatched the last episode, cause so many said they disliked the ending and i didn't remember. the weirdness of it all still makes me keep laughing...to myself...at 1:20 in the night. i am such a lonely person^^° now i remember why i liked this drama so much^__^

i watched the japanese, korean, taiwanese version... i enjoyed watching them all..

In my opinion this version is better than the japanese one.
In the japanese one i couldn't watch it till the end because there are much exaggerated moments and i didn't like it.
I sat there and thought "What the.." and "WHY..??". So I really love the taiwanese version of hana kimi the most =) I loved Si Nan (Danson Tang) and the protagonists so much ^^ The ending was not that good, but that doesn't matter to me ^^

This was okay. I love Ella, Wu, and Jiro.
But this drama was not that funny. I guess I was expecting much more slapstick humor.

Ella and Wu Chun's relationship is beautiful and special..loved the way the director focused on them throughout the series. Xiu Yi can be annoying at times, and Ella too; but the main thing is the ending. It sucks because it is very random and leaves only loose ends..A very safe ending without anything being resolved. I didn't see that coming..disappointed really.
