About Is Love (2018)

I usually don't prefer dramas where the FL is pictured as weak and dumb but I decided to give it a chance and I finished it.
The drama wasn't bad or perfect either, so here are some points I'd like to point out;
Pros:
-The friendship between Zhou Shi, Bi Qiu, Lin Fei Fei and Ning Fei gave me a warm feeling.
-The FL wasn't that weak or dumb, she kinda stood up for herself in front of the ML and she had a strong body structure.
-ummm.... the ML is so handsome.
-The love interactions between the main leads are kinda sweet and funny.
-I liked the moments where he'd save her.
-I love the 2nd and 3rd couples' relationship.

hmm... ok done with the pros, net we have the cons.
Cons;
-I didn't like how the ML was so controllable and how he kinda manipulated her before she had any feeling for him and how he always did actions (you know what I mean) without her consent.

I guess that's it generally speaking, It's a good drama

This is a fast-paced, easy to watch drama with good supporting characters and a cute main couple.

I expected the show to be a bit cliched because of the OCD angle but it's actually not. The backstory behind the ML is interesting and I like how the drama is art-oriented. This is a hate into friendship into love type of show, and the ML is really unlikeable in the beginning. Super rude, controlling, really not a nice person. But there's hope! Later on their relationship is very sweet and he is super supportive, helping her study and just becoming a great friend and they do make a cute couple. A lot happens (this is a 30 episode drama after all) so I feel like you just have to go with the flow and not think too much.

ALSO - If you're watching this, it's important to know that the summary is wrong about her age (or else this was just a huge plot hole on the show's part). It says she's 18 which contextually doesn't make sense, but then halfway in the show they mention she's actually 20. I would save you the confusion if you're like me and need things to make sense.
Also, the mom in this story is actually the *worst*. You have been warned.

There are some obvious plot holes and some sudden things that happen that were confusing / didn't really add to the story, but overall I enjoyed watching the show. I did find the ending a bit lackluster. I feel like it was a bit abrupt and everything just wrapped up so easily but it didn't spoil the show for me.

This is a show with good supporting characters who are fun to watch as well, and I really liked the friendship between Xun Ran and the FL. He just reminded me of a pure innocent puppy, who just happens to be a genius. *shrug*

I take it back about the cliches though. There are still a few, like when she gets a makeover and suddenly noone recognizes her even though she looks the exact same LOL.

So here I'm to write a not-so-review after 2nd time binge-watching 30 episodes, a day before my exam (yeah it was totally random.) I mostly dropped C-dramas and I didn't expect much on this drama. I mean, yeah, C-drama y'all. The logic. But I finished this. I found the story is tolerable enough . It is like watching a combination of a few dramas. Romance is expected, but I do like the conflicts as I ain't for romance only when it comes to dramas. Very business-like (skip button helped a lot). If you like conflicts, this is for you. I will give kudos to second couple because of their fluff contents. Beware of plot holes! There are still things that need to be explained.
The male lead is very very visually appealing. He has that type of face, you know like a jerk, snob, filled with arrogance. He did great imo. The female lead is annoyingly cute, though her character development is a bit off. It is just me being sick of helpless female lead but she doesn't look like one. Just some rebellious chicky, sometimes mindless girl we got here. Overall their chemistry saves everything.Till the end, only the mother didn't make any sense. Major wtf moments. The ending is a rush, but I really love the moments between the son and father.

I have had enough of cutesy, but this will be one of my greatest guilty pleasures. Definitely in my list to be rewatched with a skip and a speed button as I love the chemistry.

Beautiful Drama. Worth watching.Some things I loved in this drama is- Both leads done their job perfectly they look cute together in every scene.Storyline of this drama was different & Wonderful till the end. Wei Qing is amazing. Character of Zhou Shi was Cute & Strong not like the other CDramas in which female lead is stupid & chases boy annoyingly. She was different & I loved this. Other than their characters & story , this drama is meaningful & inspiring many times. I feel sad that this drama is not much popular.You can see this drama through some links & you'll like it..as i think .Anyway , from my perspective this drama is amazing ,must watch & Heart touching.❤????

Simple story yet it does bring a smile to your face whenever you would watch it. It is no thriller. There is a wealthy, arrogant guy and a sweet, simple, average girl. However, this is the first score for the drama. There is no doubt that that a huge mass of people, majorly women are big fans of such shows. Common people believe that such a love exists for them also. Or, rather, people want to believe in the existence of such purity in love. Thus, this genre of a cold, arrogant male and sweet female is surely a smart choice.

When we come to the story, it's quite easy to understand. The male lead can't interact with the opposite sex due to some trauma in his early life. He appears to be cold and has locked all his emotions inside in heart. However, one day he meets the female lead who changes his entire life. He appears to be cured when he is with her. The story develops effortlessly. There is no extra confusing tracks. Even if you miss one or two episodes, no harm would come. The show portrays many emotions like love, crush, jealously and off course, comedy. Many people, including myself, love the concept of a hero being there only for one girl. He would only listen to her, stand up for her, be playful yet always protective. I also love when females are portrayed as independent, strong characters. In the drama, the female lead Zhou Shi, along with her roommates Lin Fei Fei and Bi Qiu Jing are strong women with stronger values. They are not be bullied or manipulated. They are soft from there heart but strong in words and action. We could see how they got their own love stories fulfilled.

In and all, it is a good choice for a heart who is bursting with first love or anyone who wants to have a soft, cheerful, love filled weekend.

Don't waste your time

It started off good, but by episode 6, I was just wasn't sure what this drama is all about. I pushed through hoping that the next episodes will have something that can at least salvage it, but nah. Skipped a lot of scenes until I reached episode 15, and still nothing. I decided not to waste my time. There's no chemistry between the leads, it felt so forced. The FL, though she fights back when needed, is just too dumb here and too obsessed with her childhood crush. What even made her character even more ridiculous is that scene where she actually dressed up as her crush's "ideal type" and finally confess. At 15 episodes, I expected to have at least a bit of character development, and a little focus on what the story is actually about. But, it was just all over the place. Lack of chemistry didn't help as well.

To be honest, I would not rewatch it. The storyline was simple which I liked, I did not like the mother's character and the father's too. Their acting was very nice but the characters were really arrogant and dumb to me. I know Asian parents are strict but the mother was too blind and I hated his dad too, but he made it up in the end. The Male lead developed his character well. Otherwise, I see no character development. I was really disturbed by the mother's narcism act.
Overall, nice and light-hearted drama. You can watch it, if you need a break after watching all dark and tragic dramas.

Fui atraída pelo título e foi muito rápido e gostoso assistir, é uma história leve e ao mesmo tempo recheada de várias questões muito doloridas que é apresentada durante o desenrolar de cada personagem . O que mais me chamou a atenção era o quanto, mesmo tendo todos os jeitos e trejeitos dos herdeiros/presidente..., Wei Qing é a favor e encantado por sua funcionaria/ amiga/ salvadora/ namorada Zhou Shi e apesar de todos os conflitos que a trama traz , ela é cheia de surpresas gostosas. Com certeza voltarei a rever se a legenda para o português Brasil for melhorada, a gente consegue entende alguns diálogos mais por intuição do que por algumas frases traduzidas.
