I am in tears TnT

I would recommend watching this if you are okay with major angst. This seems to be light at first but turns dark soon. But I still love the concept and the cast. I wanna protect Tofu with all my heart❤❤❤

Really this was so different from all the light BL genres. This was wholesome and had its fair share if angst. This highlighted the trouble of lgbtq members and also how gender roles are casted by the society. It dealt with so many serious topics and executed them flawlessly.

The acting was so good that it made me love some actors by all my heart and hate some as well. This magical comedy angst story would literally be one of the best bls I have watched. The concept may not be realistic but the message it portrays is so true.

The ost and the intro never fails to make my heart flutter. Overall I wouldn't wanna rewatch it as it would make me cry for hours lol but yeah I will always come back for those cute scenes between Nut and Tofu.

Beware of the ending ( Spoiler!!!!)

I loved the drama for all the reasons you read in other reviews. So I won't write about the things I liked. I will make a review based on the last episode.
We get to know the characters, we get to love them especially the two main characters so WHY?? i found this ending awful, sad heartbreaking!! the character Tofu we like just dies and comes back as a teddy bear: the worst end ever, for several reasons: Tofu was happy to become a human to be able to help others, to interact with them. He got to really love Nut ,and after all the good things tofu has done, he is "sentenced" to watch his lover and his rival " together! I would rather he was dead! really.
Other things as well, in the last episode as well: Nut tells tarn " in my heart i married you a long time ago" What? Has Tofu ever been there??
moreover is Tarn's place his aunt's house in which Tofu died?? How come they can come to that place???
a bit angry with the end, it's like everything from the beginning has been erased..
However, the first 15 episodes are very good. Stop there if you don't want to be disappointed.

The tragedy of a Teddy Bear, that's what the series should have been called.

To be honest, I was actually expecting a fluffy romance judging from the title and sypnosis but no its actually more than that. This series, dive in more into the story, real life hardships, mental diseases, society and peer pressure. It was a really wonderful series. The story was really good, the way it handle the story telling, characters, and romance was wonderful. The suspense and the mystery was good. When you thought that, this might be the answer its actually not. It made 1 and 30 mins fell like 20 mins. That's how good it is. The cast, was just *chef kiss*. No cringy acting, all did their characters justice. The way we could distinguish who was who when twin came into the story was good. You can know just how the way they act. The music was ok to me. The reason that my rewatch value is low because of the ending. The way they made the ending just left a bad taste in mouth. I have no issue with bad ending if its done right but this was just not it. Tofu was how I feared was just an object or plot device to fix Nut. They made it clearly in the story that he was just made for Tarn's love and Nut's memories. So is he not his own person? cause they made it clear by the way Nut told Tofu that is own person. So why did Tofu had to go when everything else is fixed. Like in the last episode, he died. I was sad but I would have come into terms with it. But no, they pulled the most obnoxious thing ever. They Tofu into a bear again....I don't how he didn't get cremated and escaped without any burned marks when the coffin was shut tight and I don't think he could break it with his teddy bear arms but that aside, it was just bad. They gave me false hope that Tofu might go back to being a human again. and the end like omg the end, Nut was back with Tarn again. And I don't know the time cause they didn't specify but its still too fast. This just means that Nut was never over for his love for Tarn. Sure having him as a good memory is a good thing but actually still loving him you got to be kidding me. I would have been more happy if Nut was with someone else. But not tarn, no matter how good he was, having him as endgame was just fucking stupid. and now they are also getting married and if the knife was still not deep enough to hurt my heart, they took it out, stab me again, took a fencing sword too and a thousand knife, stab me in the heart again, took my heart out and throw it in the floor and danced on it. They fucking made Tofu still alive to see this, but now he can't do anything. He just has to sit there and watch Nut being happy with his life without him and the fucking audacity they shoved us down our throat that Tofu was fine with. Bitch how would he or anyone be fine with this. It would have been better if Tofu disappeared, why did they have to do this? To be honest, this could have been a 10/10 series for me, if it was not for the last episode. Cause everything else is just perfect.

Can't believe I cried because of a Teddy Bear

I’m writing this right after finishing the last episode. It’s a very bittersweet sensation to be “happy” that the couple you’ve been following for 15 episodes of 90 minutes doesn’t end up together, even though they are perfect for each other.

Once we had the confirmation of the connection between Tofu and Tarn, I knew this would not be a happy ending. As much as I loved Tofu, I was 100% sure the show would not let Tarn stay in a coma or die. This was never about the love story between Tofu and Nut. They never really had a chance. And that’s how I’m choosing to take this finale. I don’t have Tarn nor do I think him and Nut are a bad fit. I truly believe they are great for each other. I just don’t care much about him. We barely got to know the real Tarn, since we mostly know about him from Nut’s memories and point of view. So, he’s kinda of the perfect flawless guy. Nut always saw him as being perfect, being the polar opposite to Nut’s home life. I know, it’s true that Tofu was also kinda the perfect guy too, right until the end.

I thought Jan trying to poison Tofu would be a huge red flag. It was so obvious once the scene started. I was very surprised by that actually being how he dies. I knew he’d die in the episode, just as he did, but I expected that he’d die literally protecting someone from a bullet or a car trying to run someone over. He actually had a very, very sad death. And to make matters worse, we did not see that he got any justice. Sure, Saen was arrested, but we don’t know what happened to him. We also can’t forget that Jan was actually the killer. It looks like her punishment was losing Saen and Tarn waking up. The TRD lady got even less, the only think was that her project was stopped for good.

I’m happy that teddy bear Tofu came back in the end. I also love his scenes as a teddy bear running from the dog and reuniting with Nut. Them being together is the true happy ending of the show. Tofu will get the hugs and will be able to stay close to Nut. Gen and Song have their happy ending too, with both families both on board. BTW, Gen’s parents definitely earned a spot in the best parents in BLs. Nut’s mom does not, but he also missed the selection for worst moms [that actress being the mom of a BL protagonist is always a bed sign…]. If you really think about it, Na was responsible for everything bad that happened. At least, she was nice to Tofu.

I think 90 minute episodes was a bold choice. Airing three consecutive days also meant that a lot of people probably dropped the show because you don’t have time to catch up between airings. I know a lot of people that only restarted watching after the show was done, so they could do it at their own pace. Most episodes had a good flow. But, the amount of flashbacks annoyed me a bit, specially the ones centered around Na, Saen, Jan and Sib. I feel like we got flashback after flashback of the same things happening with them. The flashbacks centered around Saen at school were better.

Overall, The Miracle of Teddy Bear was a good show. I do think 16 episode of 90 minutes are a bit heavy, but that might be a bit selling point for people that like korean dramas. That aspect, plus the way this show is structured, makes this series more closely related to a kdrama than a regular thai BL. The cast is amazing and the chemistry is great. The acting highlight is obviously the dog. I’m glad he got his happy ending too.

PS: I find it really weird that not a single person thinks it’s weird for Tarn to open a studio right in the same living room where Tofu was murdered recently.

It's really great. but I had to drop it close to the end.

Don't get me wrong, the series is absolutely fantastic but it's way too sad. The actress who made the mother is an amazing actress, most of them are. I had to drop it in episode 14 because I knew what was coming: I knew he had to die for the other guy to live... also the alzheimers thing with the mom was sad enough. I admire the show for not having a convencional story and ending though. I recommend it, it's an experience of a rollercoaster of feelings. Almost forgot to say that the animated objects are terrifying lol that is ugly.

How to create a Greek tragedy in 16 steps OR JK! We're still homophobes.

Everything about this show is almost flawless.
The photography is fantastic, the storytelling progresses well.
Editing and styling wise this is a beautiful show.

But, and this is a massive issue with the show, they try to downplay some very dark themes of as cute.
Anyone that has had some serious trauma in their life should stay far from this show. It will mess you up.

The show needs so many trigger warnings! It checks all the boxes. We have assault, homophobia, murder, familial violence and finally the big one. Suicide.

The marketing for this show was done wrong.
Even the poster implies a different ending. There is no Tarn in sight.
This should never have been a gay romance, instead it should just have been a statement on Thai society, period.
The love story between Tofu and Nut should never have been explored.

Tofu is in my opinion the only main character, anyone else is secondary.
We get to know each character as Tofu breaks the fourth wall and tells their stories.
We cry with him, sympathize with him. Get our hearts broken with him.

But then this show does the unthinkable, it leaves the main Character with no choice but to commit suicide.

It does not give him room to move, it does not give the viewer any respite from the fact that this character needs to die.

Although a lot of people does not see his actions as suicide, the fact the he KNOWINGLY does something with the intend to die is the definition of suicide.

None of the previous fifteen episodes with all its violence and dark themes prepares you for the writer's need to change the lovable teddy bear into a martyr.

We then have the show glorify this character's death as heroic, and it has the audacity to think that the character we grow to love is nothing but an inanimate object anyway so what's the problem?

We are treated to social commentary and themes of recovery but this all gets nullified by the choice the writer forces on the character.

According to the director, Tofu is 'other' and 'lesser'. The director's even goes so far as to say he should not exist, and this is why he cannot be with Nut, Tarn is the end goal because he is human.

This is a contradiction to the series theme and message.

It is the way LGBT people are seen and made to feel, and to have Tofu actually die out of a sense of guilt is not what the show is trying to tell for 15 episodes.

Be warned, this is a dark show. It is not fluffy, it pretends to be, but it spirals into darkness in the last few episodes and though it tries to get away with a cute ending, it cannot get away from the fact that none of it's characters will ever recover from the trauma dealt to them.

You cannot get away with Nut's character going through so much trauma in his life, that he will eventually recover.
He cannot, he is left with the knowledge that Tofu was signaling him that he was going to die.
The show doubles down on this when they bring Tofu back as a sentient Teddy Bear again.

And ye gads! They actually include a scene that is more at home in a horror movie, and try to play it of as cute.

Good series over all.

I loved this series and felt like the ending was very mature and realistic to the plot. The series was well acted and the story was amazing. The idea was super unique and refreshing. The plot on the character were amazing too and explored to their full potential. It wasn't just characters with no backstory.

Every character had a mature act around situations which made it bareable to watch. The ending was very mature like I said, and was something I think had to be done to make a more realistic ending to things, As Tofu was mare but a teddy bear.

10/10 would recommend.

Good series that really speaks a message

This series really tugged at my heartstrings. It is not like your regular BL plot (high school/ university/ medicine or engineering student/ puppy love. This series speaks of societal perception of alternative lifestyles/ sexual orientations and the issues/ problems that people in these communities faces. It also touched on topics like family support and mental health. This is more than just a series to watch. It opens the viewers' eyes to issues that some people face today. It can be a bit draggy but it is worth a watch.

The torture of poor miracle Teddy Bear

**Lots and lots of spoilers and frustration**

Okay. here I go. This Is going to be a little bit wordy, so I apologize in advance lol

This is not your average BL! I give major props for being different and refreshing....it's not a common story with the usual BL stigma and topic, that alone made me like this series more. Oh, and sorry friends.....barely any PDA here. It's supposed to be a more "sweet" BL. However, there were a few things I couldn't get over after finishing all 16 episodes.

First, I had a problem with Nut's behavior and how he treated the SWEETEST boy ever!! I know he grew up all fucked up because of his dad's crazy macho bullshit and his mom's lack of a fucking spine, but that doesn't give ANYBODY the right to be shitty! It took Nut way too long to treat Tofu the way he deserved from day 1. And don't even get me started that he didn't wait for Tofu's body to be cold and he was already back with Tarn. Like, whaaatt??? Really?? I am sorry, but if I was in his shoes I could NEVER switch like that. The way that he immediately went to see Tarn in the hospital and had the internal monolog "Yes, I still love and miss him" made my skin crawl. Tofu LITERALLY gave up his life and happiness for YOU my guy and that's how you repay him? Cold.

Second, after poor Tofu waking up IN A BURNING COFFIN and then (like that wasn't straight-up evil enough) having to watch the love of his existence immediately start a relationship (and marriage, I guess *internal screaming*) with Tarn is EVIL!!! Why do that to him? By the end, he had feelings like a regular person. That is pure torture to a great guy. He should not have returned "awaken"....just the teddy would be fine. If he could have returned just for that scene where he talked with Nut would've been great too. Keep the "miracle" alive....but him being fully aware of himself and watching Nut moving on is just incredibly sad. Left a bitter taste in my mouth. I wish we could've kept the sweetness.

I did enjoy the series and the cast's performance. As you guys could tell, I had my fair share of problems lolol but it was good! Not everything has to have a happy or fair ending.....but to me, Tofu's ending was so evil. I can't forgive or forget! That's why my score wasn't higher.

Thanks for reading me rant :)

SO so very wondeful

This is a BL drama but also so much more. It is beautifully written and the plot has just enough twists to keep you interested but not so many as to wear your enjoyment out.
It is essentially a fairy tale - but fairy tales can still deliver strong messages and be wondrous at the same time.
The actors are well cast and the actors perform very well together making their characters develop well. As always the supporting cast are weak and overly given to playing pantomime in a way you see in all Thai and Korean drama. I know that almost seems a cultural requirement but I do wish that directors would move on from this. Asian drama has moved a long way forward in the last few years and this drama shows that.
The story is in some part based on the novella "The Little Prince" but is not just a reworking. In many ways the most recognisable aspect it draws from the novella is with the insights it gives to the human condition, on life and death, love and obsession, dreams and reality.
From the outset it is clear that the ending was going to be a difficult task and by the time we got to the last episode I nearly stopped watching as I couldn't 'bear' the story to end as I feared it would. I am glad I stayed the course as the ending is quite superb and beautifully done.
It is truly the best show I have watched all year. Thank you so much.

Refreshingly poignant

This series is simply amazing, though extremely difficult to watch if acts of abuse and violence ultimately distracts
you from the larger story. There were times I wanted to get Tofu help😂 Like blink twice if you need to be rescued. Lol...Nevertheless, The story is very relatable and thematically rich, it strives for honesty as opposed to acceptable sterility and safety. It is without question my favorite bl for the year and ranks high amongst my all time favorites. A Must watch🙏🏾❤️
