Yeon Woo’s Secret Business
Yeon Woo, a noble family member in Joseon, secretly makes clothes and sells them to the market, which is against the code of conduct for noble women in conservative society. One day, she gets in danger of being caught and punished for her clothes being considered too bold and vulgar. This is a heartwarming and heartbreaking pilot episode of a woman who longs to be herself and be free from the confinement of tradition and morals. Our main characters, Yeonwoo and Taeha were childhood friends (or acquaintances), and the latter has his heart on the girl since. But Taeha is the only one who remembers her, as she doesn't seem to have any recollection of him. I love how the romance starts as in the first episode because I can already root for the couple to end up together in their second life. Taeha's love doesn't suffocate Yeonwoo, and he's the only person who lets her be herself. But the only person who doesn't take her passion for garment making as a joke has to leave her on the first night they're supposed to spend together. This tragedy is followed by a mysterious person trying to murder Yeonwoo, who instead of losing her life, is blessed with the chance to have another one in the 2020s. I have a lot of hope for this series and there are a lot of things I would love to see. It would be nice if we could see Yeonwoo create the ultimate undergarment line she loves. I will probably cry if we get to see her travel somewhere even if the place is near Seoul. I can't wait to see Yeonwoo spread her wings and fly anywhere she wants.

The first episode has touched on a lot of things laying the groundwork, but still was paced at just the right pace. We have veteran actress Lee se young giving her all to her first titular role so please show her a lot of love. Bae in hyuk has also acted quite well showing of his perfect Joseon accent and dialect.

A wonderful first episode. The world set up flows and excited on how she will cope with modern day Korea. Lee Se Young is top notch when playing a saguek role. I liked that she and the ML had a childhood connection. Can’t wait until he recalls her.
