Both Cdrama are in the same era, during Japan controlling China period. Both has the story of college student involve in anti-Japan campaign. Students were energetic, pure, kind, innocent, often became victims of own Chinese spy

This romance is set in part in Xinjiang around Kanas Lake and Hemu village, close to Altai and features glimpses of the various people who live there. Some parts are shot in other spectacular desert areas of the province.
The romance is about found-again love after a long separation ; both have their own very different jobs but despite the hurdles and separations due to work and responsibilities, they find the way to each other's heart. ML is Jing Boran and FL is Seven Tan Songyun.

I know this recommendation is not a documentary about an ethnic group and lifestyle..
But it is healing and feel good slice of life that made me remember it while watching to the wonder.

The storyplot of FL being able to transport into a parallel world from contemporary to dynasty era and vice versa. Same goes with the ML, from dynasty to contemporary era.
The romance is almost the same...and yes, the fish kisses are just the same too. ?
Both dramas are entertainingly good. Even the humor are onpoint.

The atmosphere and storyline of both is pretty different, but what is similar is that we see two women bonding over, in one, their love for BL manga and in the other, their passion as fujoshis.
Both of them do not exactly consist of gay/BL romance but feature main characters who are fans of the BL genre.

Both are talk-show format.
Both have Idols as Main host.
Suchwita is more with drinking and Jaefriends more with eating.
