Light drama

This was perfect drama for some light romance, thriller, comedy and a great story with such a cute starcast.

As the plot starts with Eun bi getting bullied and then eun byul who seems like a bully herself. I thought how opposite those sisters could be. As the story develops and eun byul is replaced by eun bi, that concept seems to fade away. She was just a stubborn child never giving other a way. Han Yi An being held between the two sister was quite absurd and he doesn't realize what he wants is really annoyed me.tae kwang was quite nice and as we all know second lead is always nice and always ends up alone.
All the actors look extreamly great in school uniforms. Am really not a fan of Kim so hyun but whenever I start watching her drama she is just excellent in her acting chops which convinces me to carry on and whatch full drama. KSH was excellent playing duel role. She seemed like two different character. Nam joo hyuk was very handsome as the swimmer flaunting his body. Yook sun jae as gong tae kwang was perfect as rich spoilt kid. He made the comic scenes very laughable. He played his part so diligently. Soo Hyung as kang so young was really apt.she truly made me hate her with each scene. An applause for her as an actor.
I wanna reset Ost is too good and immediately catches the attention due to its beats.

Definite MUST WATCH school drama. A classic really

At the time of writing, it's my 2nd time watching this drama. To be honest before I re-watched it, I forget most of the little details on this drama as I've first watch this years ago but I know that this is a drama I really wanted to re-watch.

After watching this again, I don't have regrets. This is still one of the greatest drama I have watched so far. I just have a bit of issue on the story upon re-watching it. Let me dive into it. By the way, there might be SPOILERS along this review, so consider yourself warned and stop here if you haven't watched it yet.

The plot is one of the things that caught my eye on this although I mainly watched this because of Kim SoHyun. The concept is quite interesting having this quite mystery among twins wherein one of them has to pretend to be the other twin. It made me curious and excited as to what could possibly happen. Then we are treated with 2 male leads which is unexpected. I didn't know much about JooHyuk and SungJae when I first watched this. I'll add my sentiments about these leads towards the end. What actually amazed me with the plot is the characters of EunBi and EunByeol. We have one character who ignored the one being bullied and ended up miserable because of guilt and another character who saved the one being bullied and ended up as the victim herself.

Aside from the story about the main casts, the drama covered bullying, pressure from helicopter parents, friendship, dreams and all sorts of things happening in school. It's pretty much the same concepts that appeared on School 2013. I feel like the romance and mystery just added a bit flavor on this one. Although this time, I cannot forgive the bully, SoYeong. Other bullies really had terrible upbringing that forced them to be terrible but SoYeong is just a plain brat. She had everything. She has brains, money, parents with power. She just simply knew her privileges and decided that she can get away with anything. I hate her character but not the actress. She did so well as the protagonist for me to hate the character.

Another factor that made me love this drama is the OST. It is truly golden. I had lots of times where I got goosebumps because of the OST. I keep listening to them ever since and I feel like this made up half of the awesomeness on this drama. A lot of scenes will probably look bland without the background music.

So for the spoiler, of course it's about how intense is the second lead syndrome on this drama. I seriously wished that we'll have 2 happy couples here. Ian+EunByeol and TaeKwang+EunBi. Afterall during the first few episodes, we're made to believe that Ian likes EunByeol and EunByeol likes Ian. I can still remember the time when Ian went to the hospital to see EunByeol and said that "If it's your choice to step back, it's my choice to step forward. Fine, we've grown so much and many things changed. So what? It's okay now since you're back, EunByeol." Then it turns out he hugged a different person which is EunBi.

I understand that EunBi fell for Ian. We fall in love not being able to explain why anyway. It's pretty common that we don't fall for that person who's always there silently caring for us. I just feel bad towards TaeKang. I feel like he deserves more than he was credited for.

I imagine what if EunByeol returned to school as herself but brought EunBi with her, I bet TaeKang will still fall for EunBi and Ian will still like EunByeol. I doubt that Ian will pay attention to EunBi at all. In the first place, Ian only interacts with EunBi because he thinks that she's EunByeol. If EunByeol and EunBi is there, there's no way that Ian will develop feelings towards EunBi. Those are just my thoughts anyway. I feel like the ending is decently acceptable. I just can't get over that they could've made 2 couples instead of one.

exceeded my expectations, but the end is disappointing

don't get me wrong - the point of the drama, the music and the story behind it were all really good. it was overall very well done and even made me emotional, which isn't a very easy task and therefore, the drama earned a solid 8,5 stars from me. kim so hyun and yook sung jae did amazing in this drama, and for the fact that kim so hyun was 16 back then, it's more than just an amazing performance. of two twins, not to mention. what disappointed me is that the endgame was eun-bi and i-an. i'm sorry, but this just straight up inspires girls to date guys who are a total red flag instead of dating guys who do the most they can to win the girl over but aren't able to do so. tae-kwang deserved way better and i think eun-bi x tae-kwang would've been a better endgame. i am also very disappointed in the acting of nam joo hyuk. he did very poorly in this drama, he truly did. his emotions weren't clear enough and it was so obvious that the tears were faked. you can see right through it, and that is exactly what shouldn't be happening in a drama. it's supposed to look genuine, not faked. his expressing of emotions was just really poor and therefore, i would give him a 4/10 in acting. he was pretty young by then so it's understandable, however, even kim so hyun did amazing at her age so i expected at least a bit of a better performance than just that. i would rewatch this drama only for the eun-bi x tae-kwang moments, as they seem the most natural and the most real to me. they are worth rewatching because the actors truly did amazing. as i said, i really wish i-an and eun-bi wouldn't have been endgame. i'm sure many people think that as well. the only flaw is the second male lead being disrespected and tramped on. we got so many cute moments only for them to not end up together. i really wish sungjae's character would've gotten more recognition in this drama. that's all from me. it was still pretty good and the point behind it was really nicely shown and done. :)

Could've been better. Romance Wise

School. The series that I've been watching backwards. My first School Series was School 2017, which is my favorite. School 2015, eh. Not that bad but it's just eh. After Episode Four I started skipping things.
The concept aka the story plotline is so interesting. It's about our main (Eun-bi) getting mistaken for her twin sister (Eun-byeoul) after she went missing and everybody thought Eun-bi died. The acting was AMAZING. Even unlikable characters and side characters did their parts SO WELL! I mainly watched this series because Kim So Hyun and Nam Joo Hyuk are in it.
The romance between Yi An and Eun-bi was alright in my opinion, it wasn't THAT bad, I liked them at times and other times I just hated Yi-an's character. Yi-an's character throughout the end with Eun-bi was kind of terrible. I won't say what Episode but, Yi-an didn't give two hells where Eun-bi went when she went missing and stayed attached to Eun-byeoul like an idiot. He only asked how she was and that's all. Thoughts on Tae-kwang and Eun-bi? I shipped a bit but didn't get attached. He was a better choice and character than the first lead though.
The story was slow and questionable at some points. Should've listen to the reviews to be honest.
Show isn't that bad it's just that the romance kind of sucked a bit and a lot of scenes that happen are really questionable.
Rewatch value is low since it's not that hard to not remember at least parts of this show therefore, no reason to rewatch.
The story rating is so high since this story kind of reminds me of "Oh My Ghost" when Soon Ae (the ghost second female lead) was taking over Bong Soon's body (female lead) the whole damn series. Similar to here when Eun-bi is pretending to be Eun-byeoul almost the whole damn show. If you haven't watched Oh My Ghost I recommend it to you but you might get second lead feels.
Also, THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD! So light and thrilling! Love all the beats and sound tracks, even was sweating from my palms sometimes

Easy drama to watch (quickly)

This drama was one of the firsts i watched, and i really recommend to beginners.
The plot is easy (most of the time). It is a but confusing as there is a lot going on but really good to watch quick and easy!

SPOILERS NOW

The fact that there was a ‘nice’ twin and a ‘not so nice’ twin really intrigued me, seeing both sides of the siblings was really nice and interesting. This really highlights the major differences in twins, how they shouldn’t all the the same, they should have their differences.

School 2015 is the kind of drama that will keep you on your toes as the story unravels itself slowly episode after episode. I watched it while it was still airing and honestly the one week wait for the new episode was almost unbearable. The whole basis of the drama (orphaned twins) sets the stage for a whole rollercoaster of twists and turns. The casting was honestly amazing and really made me keep an eye out for NJH. KSH also did fabulous job acting out her 2 contrasting personas! AND THE MUSIC! Reset was literally my jam for the longest time, I listened to it on the plane for 8 hours straight before I finally decided to protect my sanity and turn it down. The rest of the songs are really good too.

This was also another drama that I happened to stumble across on whilst investing my time into KDramas and so I really wanted to watch it. I do not regret watching this drama at all. I do like to invest my time in high school dramas as well because I can relate to them in some way which makes it more of a special drama to watch.

The story was captivating. I found myself anticipating in fear of what is going to happen next and it for sure was a gripping story. The story was well planned out and was quite strategic. There was so much mystery between Eun Bi and Eun Byul. However, I did find the ending anticlimactic, I was expecting more from the So Young and Eun Bi case, I think it's because they focussed on the love triangle more than the main point of the drama. In my opinion, I would of preferred something a bit more dramatic than that, but then again am I expecting too much from a high school drama?
The other thing I found a bit strange to process was the fact that Han Yi An ended up liking Eun Bi instead of Eun Byul. He always has liked Eun Byul, like he said, a one-sided love, but since the transition and him finding out Eun Byul was in fact Eun Bi all that time, he started liking his childhood best friend's sister. It did take some time to gather his feelings about the whole situation, but I did find it odd how he swiftly move on from Eun Byul to Eun Bi.
The ending made me frustrated and upset that the writers didn't do much of a good job on the love story for the ending. I loved the chemistry between Tae Kwang and Eun Bi, but don't get me wrong, the Han Yi An and Eun Bi moments were cute too, however, Eun Bi was better meant to be with Tae Kwang and even though it was a one-sided love with Yi An and Eun Byul, they were meant to be in the first place.

I loved the cast. I was in awe of how brilliant Kim So Hyun's acting was, she portrayed the personalities of the twins really well and you can definitely tell the difference with the twins at a glance, for that I applaud her.
Jo Soo Hyang did very well in portraying Kang So Young as the very mean and abusive bully, I literally hate her out of all characters in KDrama history.
Yook Sungjae as Gong Tae Kwang was lovable and made me want to hug him so much. He became so lovable, I also started loving Sungjae himself. I definitely had second lead syndrome and I so badly wanted Eun Bi to look at him for once.
Kim Joon Seok was the most lovable and funny teacher I ever saw in any drama, I loved his relationship towards his students.
And lastly, I wanna mention Cha Song Joo, she was an amazing character as well as a friend and I admire her as a character.

The music was good, loved all of the songs. I do have to say when the emotional scenes came on and the sad music cued, I shed a tear or two (maybe more).

Overall, I loved every aspect of the drama, except for the things I mentioned earlier, but generally, it was good. I cried at the emotional scenes and even when the drama was teaching us valuable lessons, I cried at those moments too. this drama can be relatable to everyone who is within high school age and so this drama is special to me. I love Class 3, everyone got along and they had a special bond towards each other.

I don't think I would rewatch this whole drama again the whole way through, at least not anytime soon. I think I would only rewatch again to relive the cute and adorable moments with Tae Kwang X Eun Bi, but also Yi An X Eun Bi as well

Kim So Hyun

I love Kim So Hyun, it's very rare that I like actresses; in general but when I find one I do, I tend to check out their works and this out of many of her projects, was the one that stuck out to me the most. She is such a talented actress. I cried with her at the beginning of the show and laughed at the end for her happiness. I really liked this drama and even though i've been done with the whole high school teen series trope, this one was a gem. I admit, I skipped a little bit towards the end because I felt like it was getting draggy but, I completed it and i'm glad that I did.

It's the catchy story that will make you watch this drama. However, there is more to this drama than the twin sister story. Sure, it's interesting to see if she will get caught and how she manages to survive in a world that's far from the one she grew up into. But the main interest is the bulling. In this drama, it is handled carefully. showing all the forms that is can take and all its results. And for me, that was the best part of the drama. The love story, actually the love triangle that it develops between the girl, her sister's best friend, and the outcast of her high school, is really good, but it fails to be completed, as the final episode leaves you a little confused. Also, the production didn't handle well the presense of the two girl simultaneously in the same place. But, other than that, it's a good drama, with quick pace and interesting theme.

The lying game is an american book series and a tv series which I watched a few years back, and I couldn't help but notice the similarity between the lying game and who are you: school 2015. The basic story is so much alike, the difference lies in the culture in which the series airs. While the american culture is more provocative, the korean one is very shy and stayed loyal to the rules that usually applied in the korean series, such as no kisses in high school series.
Even though its prohibit, you can feel the tension build in every episode and its very hard to stop watching.
The chemistry between the main characters is good and its a very hard to guess who she will choose, unfortunately since the two series are very much alike I already knew what will happen in the general story.
OST - I really like the theme song and it will defiantly goes into my playlist.

I have known this drama before I had watched it. I have my hopes up for this drama and to be honest, it doesn't satisfy me that much. Some parts and scenes disappoints me. Like for the bullying, I think it would be better if the 3 bullies got punished and not just Kang so-young. And I agree, Eun-bi have a better chemistry to taekwang than Yi An.

The fight between eun-bi and so-young too is too lacking(?). Like i didn't see much about their drama that's why i think eun-bi didn't get the justice that she deserves. For me the drama is too focused on the love life of the characters.

I'll give this a 6/10. I didn't like it that much. This is a lesson for me that not all overrated/known dramas are great and a 10/10.
