The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016)

Both have this paranormal genre, while the male-lead is an alien in "Star" the female-lead is a mermaid in "Legend", and both have super-powers as creatures. Both series follows up the path of true love through reincarnation, humor and excitement! And lastly, both dramas have Gianna Jun in role of the Female-Lead !

They have very different plots but the main elements and sort of development of both of these dramas are similar. This is because:

· They are by the same screenplay writer.
· The female lead is far away from her home.
· The female lead hides some things about herself from the male lead.
· The male lead at first appears to be standoffish and not caring but is actually trying to help the female lead feel comfortable and help.
· The male lead is from an influential/wealthy background and female lead does not know.
· The male lead is usually introverted and not interested in others but is sweet and caring with the female lead.

I feel like these two dramas are very similar in a way. It's basically about the past but the drama is in the present form. Both are interesting and the bromance is cute! xD

The first two episodes totally give the legend of the blue sea vibes. I'm assuming its because the female lead has to adjust being in a different era which was similar to that kdrama.

Mermaid and human romance between "bad" but good hearted human and hapless mermaid. Comedy and serious moments. Happy ending with couple in seaside home.

Both about past lives and how that affected the characters' current lives.

In both dramas, the leads remember their past.

Both have supernatural elements outside of the past life/future life trope.

Both have wonderful OSTs. CT is more artfully done while Legend is more quirky and fun.

Ignoring the fact that their names are also very similar, these two both one supernatural lead and a regular human lead for the other.
They both have reincarnation plots as well as villains who were present in their past lives.
In both of these dramas, the main lead is very confident in his abilities.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed is about a nine-tailed fox looking for his reincarnated lover and meeting a paranormal show PD.
Legend of the Blue Seas is about a mermaid who meets her lover from her past life who is a con artist in his current life.

Its also a mermaid story. Bt much bettr than " the mermaid". The only thing is its a Korean drama

Human man falls in love with a mermaid, tries to protect her secret and keep her safe.
They both know if humans find out she is a mermaid, they will want to exploit her.

Both are romantic and fantastic dramas with interesting plot and charming characters (with different topics). In both girls must to hide their another magical side (but in Leh Nangfah she defeats a curse).

different storylines but if you're looking for something to match Lee Min Ho's conning in LOTBS then you might like TS where Hyun Bin is the MC
