The first signs of love

This episode was pretty good but I can't bring myself to believe the time travel. It seems very contrived. This is mainly because we're not allowed to experience the discovery of this awesome, new modern world along with Boong Do. We're TOLD a lot of the challenges he faces, but we're not SHOWN it so his character is not convincing to me at all. I can't believe professional writers are still making this mistake. It's one of the most basic rules of script writing 101. Sigh ...

Hui Jin's manager annoys me. I think her acting (or maybe it's just the characterization) is a bit too over the top. Sure, Hui Jin may make her life difficult but her facial expressions and overall bombastic reactions to simple situations are exaggerated to the point of ridicule. She's also very rude. She treats Boong Do like crap until she assumes he possibly might be rich. Nah, she's not working for me. Han Dong Min is a nuisance. I really want to swat him like a fly every time he comes on screen & interferes with Hui Jin's life! lol

As for Hui Jin & Boong Do, I can definitely see the chemistry between them. They make a very cute couple. I'd be very content just to watch them alone, without all those bothersome side characters. Boong Do is even kinda growing on me. He's not really what I'd call attractive, but neither is he as bad as I initially thought. Really looking forward to the next episode!

a little reality check but other than that..

How can he always have a backpack and new cloths?..Wasn't he a captive? Does he only steal from guys that have backpacks and caps? Let's be serious..Oh well, it's only a drama. Other than that I like this episode.

-.-

Sooo cute episode.. I just love the both leads.. I might say that they're my favourite leads over some time..
The chemistry is so cute and innocent.. May be I like their feelings toward each other because there's no pain or some kind of matters that would make them feel sad towards one another. That's the kind of drama I've been longing to see for a change of broken feelings and sad reality. (well at least there are not yet)
...I really didn't want this episode to end.. the ending was more than just passionate..

oh, you smart boy...

Boong Do is slowly becoming one of my favorite male characters ever. Throughout this episode, the way he learns about aspects of the modern makes me smile because, though he depends on Hee Jin for some things, he is also figuring much out on his own.

And, of course, his smile is just too cute!^^

I can't wait to see where this goes after Hee Jin told everyone that "He's my boyfriend!"

You go girl!!

Finally, a female lead to my liking. She doesn't just sit quietly whining about her misfortunes: she takes the initiative. Well done, Hee Jin!
Her poor manager will have a hard time from now on. Not only her protegee has publicly declared she has a bf, but this bf happens to be a little older than his looks suggest. lol

The confrontation between Boong Do and Jo was hilarious. She questions him about his background, education, family and he doesn't even need to lie!! Haha

I love the juxtaposition of past and present as it is presented here. When a scene in the present is interrupted by one in the past, it looks like they are happening at the same time: while Doong Gu walks on modern Jeju, the guards look for him in the same place.
It's as though past and present were both existing at the same time, as if they were separated by space, rather than time.

Which obviously raises the most classic of questions: since Boong Do didn't die as he was supposed to, is the future going to be changed forever?

Can not resist that cuuute smile...

So weird, Boong Do isnt the most jawdroppingly gorgeous man but maaaaan my heart does not stop fluttering when he smiles! Think the plot is getting along really well. The Joseon and modern day scenes compliments each other. The Travel guide to teach Boong Do the ways of modern life was quite ingenius aha! And you just learn exactly how clever he is - in the Joseon era and in the 21st century. But no matter how clever he needs a ditsy actress to save the scholar from trouble :) just love that about it. Looking forward to the next episode!

"He's my boyfriend!"

I loved the airplane scene and how she couldn't bear for him to be taken away because that brat needed to play hero and she just said something along the lines of "I know this person. He's my boyfriend and we are together". And I think a sign of Dong Min being a bigger "psycho stalker" than Boong Do was when she screamed in the airplane when she saw him coming.

I loved how the other actress once Hee Jin said Boong Do was her boyfriend threw Dong Min another one of the disdainful looks.

Boong Do smiles and I still melt.

a pretty nice episode but...

Apart from Boong Do's awesome hairstyling skills ... I have one question: how does he understand simplified Chinese characters? Apart from that, I loved the episode, can't wait for next week. ^^
