Cast & Credits
Undoubtedly a modern C-Drama, without mentioning that the protagonists Tangyan and Luo Jin in real life are lovers too, this gave life to the plot that, by well worded signal brought a script of action, suspense and romance polished, youthful and solid. The performance of the couple was engaging as well as the soundtrack that really impressed me, is very well composed. The cinematography although medium left out in the special effects and CGI, it is undeniable the synchronization of the cast in certain scenes that have ended up spoiling the drama in parts. Another downside is the action scenes that are anything but natural, it gets crisp that it's all combined and millimetrically timed. Too bad the drama in Korean version would be of great potential, its story is excellent.
One of the two downsides to it is probably the production; the action scenes seem to well synchronised to be realistic and the props used frankly resembled something brought from a toy store. And then of course there was the female lead. Tiffany Tang is well known for taking Mary Sue roles and this role did not disappoint. Everyone else seems to take their role extremely seriously and was convincing enough to be special agents, only she was....let's say luck was always on her side so she didn't need to do much in order to survive and succeed. But hey, I got to like her in the end, as the drama could be quite depressing and dark sometimes and you could always guarantee she would cause some sort of trouble to lighten things up again.
But overall it was an enjoyable drama and I would really recommend it.
