Reply 1994 is the second one of the "reply" serie; so you might like it.

Both are set up in college, and deal with the daily lives of a group of friends, both are slice of life about friendship and love.

Reply 1994 was one of Son Ho Jun's first roles. The scenes of his character, Dae Oh, during college in "Was It Love?" really reminded of Reply 1994. Other than that, both dramas use a similar guessing game though Reply 1994 does it better.

Same writer, same style, same feels. There's a lot of the elements of looking at the chilhood and growth of the characters. This writer knows how to tell a story man.

both stories started on shared encounters of people in a boarding or guest house and friendships and love formed. Both have a great romantic love triangle that was endearing to watch.

The siblings relationship (not blood-related) turns into a lover.
Neighborhood friendship, Go Ahead they're living across in 1994 they're living in a same boarding house.

They have the same atmosphere(80s/90s vibe), and feel somewhat similar, the biggest difference is that in reply 1994 the isn't any time travel.

Both dramas have the same makers and production teams giving the same deep feel with simple stories that revolve around the lives of a group of young people.

In Resident Playbook people who don't know each other at first, start working closely together.
Like in Resident Playbook, in Reply 1994, a small group of same-age people somehow start spending time together all living in the same boarding house.

In both dramas, there's a ML who is older than everyone in the group. And even though they have different personalities, they give a very similar gentle feeling, and have a similar relationship with the FL. Later, the FL starts developing feelings towards him, but he rejects for similar reasons.

The ML and FL interactions are very very similar and so are their positions. They have a great natural chemistry.

If you're looking for another great drama with a very similar feel, but also a different storyline, the other drama is HIGHLY recommended.

Seo In Guk is great in both HIGH SCHOOL KING OF SAVVY and REPLY 1994. Both portray: young adults from nontraditional households, where one or both parents are missing and they are supported by a sibling or friend of the family. Both include One sided love, and Romance.

Both dramas are about found families, living close since childhood.. And friendships.

The timeline of both stories span many long years.

The leads relationship is organic.
A chilhood ‘oppa’ to lovers relationship.

In both dramas, one of the leads lost a sibling when they were young.

Both male leads have the same job later, I believe.
And he acts protective of the FL.

Both dramas tell the story through reminiscing into the characters college days.

Both have nice groups of mostly male friends surrounding a couple of females.

Both have family elements.

Both dramas have piles of delicious food.

It's the predecessor to Reply 1994 - it aired first and is, obviously, set in the future but some of the characters from 1994 interconnect with 1997's at a point. It also has the same general feel as 1994.

Both shows are a slice-of-life and romance blend based in the 90s, both shows feature a guest house.

Decreed by fate also has the who's the husband mystery like in the Reply series. Both the ML and SML are compatible with the FL.
