Nice, standard Action-Revenge flick.
It's basically your standard "ACTION-REVENGE" movie... so there's nothing that really stands out story-wise but at least they were able to put some "new" things here and there that makes it somehow "fresh".The Acting/Cast is actually quite decent and the music was okay. (I've seen worse where the cast looked like total amateurs)
it's just that... you never really watch ACTION-REVENGE movies more than once unless the ACTION part is super impressive.
If you're looking to have some fun watching an ACTION movie then go ahead. It's definitely worth watching at least once. The people giving it a 5/10 and below are just overreacting. I don't know what they were expecting this movie to be but I guess they were just "THAT" disappointed.

A Visual Gem with a Moving Storyline
It pulls you in, emotionally, to the humid and oppressive world of drugs and trafficking. The only light, life, and freedom is experienced in the development of the leads relationship with the Ballerina which we can only see in flashback but it becomes instantly obvious why it triggers such loyalty.Think "Hard Candy" meets "Atomic Blonde". Action-packed, dark, and gritty. But with just enough "wink-wink-nudge-nudge" to disrupt waves that threaten to carry you deeply into the very dark place which is the premise of the movie.

Not Good Enough
Korean Movie " Ballerina " is an intense thriller about a woman who seeks out revenge for her friend.The movie has spectacular cinematography, with sharp camera work and dreamy shots. Hence, the action scenes were leveled up, not being just a choreography between the two fighters, but a piece of art.
The performances were also a strong suit of the movie, as everyone did a great job with their characters, but, the leading lady was especially enjoyable.
However, the main problem with "Ballerina" is its plot. Yes, it's a revenge story, but they just left it there. There is a basic skeleton of a plot, with a predictable outcome and boring twists. Only the fantastic cinematography fills in the gaps of the spars plot, something that, in the end, isn't enough.
So, overall, four out of ten.

Simple review
The whole thing is amazing, acting skills, cinematic views, colors, filming, story, music everything is on point, needed a bit of details about the bad man and what he does, but i think not knowing everything adds to the experience, i love it. I love the deep story behind the character, and the whole action thing was amazing, she didn't spare anyone and got her revenge at the end we love that. I loved the whole cast and their unique characters that add up to the amazing story. After finishing it, the first thing that came to mind was that I should write a review of it right away.But now that I'm thinking about what to put in the review, I feel like a lost cause.

She carries this film and that opening scene was excellent but then the action was non-existing. It was a bit slow for my liking at the beginning and I get that they were trying to get the audience to understand why Ok Ju would go through those lengths to avenge Min Hee. Some of the flashbacks went on a little too long. Overall, I enjoyed it. I was even taken by surprise when she killed one of the characters. Did not see that coming!
Kim Ji Hoon never disappoints! This man can play the worst villain and then the complete opposite. The scene where he is working out... Oh my goodness!

Felt like a couple of people made a challenge on who can write a movie in a day and then filmed it.
I enjoyed it and it kept me engaged but it felt like a troll, meme movie. Like at the end when broddy said "you really did blow things out of proportion" I laughed so hard cause she really was going to torch his hoe ass. And when the boss died so quickly it made it feel even more meme-ish and i laughed. Felt like one of those "when the villian is explaining all their plan but you can just shoot them while their talking". Bc everyone died so fast, didnt feel like anyone had any plot armour or aura like they gave off at the start. And how Choi pro just shoots the guy in the back just like that, like they just rushed the ending "TLDR ANYWAY BASICLALY EVERYONE DIES THE END" yh thats how it felt. Questo film mi ha fatto rivalutare John Wick che ho sempre ritenuto troppo inverosimile per i miei gusti. Io amo gli sparatutto, me per me, o vai fuori dagli schemi nell'impossibile, o ti devi trattenere nella realtà, non apprezzo le vie di mezzo. Qui invece c'è volutamente un'allusività inutile, un non voler spiegare chiaramente utilizzando visuali oniriche una trama che sarebbe semplicissima. Rendono convoluta una storia veramente lineare e logicamente semplice di vendetta, e non so il perchè sinceramente. Poi la parte che dovrebbe reggere il film è la vendetta è dove lei fa fuori tutti magari con diverse armi .....non con praticamente niente. Voglio dire ha preso un sacco di armi e poi fa fuori tutti solo con una piccola pistola? e per tutti intendo non so quante persone perchè il film glissa molto sui particolari che secondo me andavano invece mostrati, e poi mi usa il lanciafiamme per finire uno solo già mezzo morto??????????? Ma perchè??????? Solo perchè visualmente rende di più? Quindi ciò che conta sono solo le apparenze? Questo è il succo? Che poi, a logica tu per vendicarla vorresti magari smantellare tutta l'operazione o no? Dovresti avercela più col capo dei capi o chis so io. Invece qui indagine zero. Top tier neo-noir genre
Straightforward but perfect storyline, the attention to details is extremely precise and its neo-noir styling has one of the highest quality ever seen in Korean movies. Action scenes are quite flashy but still able to maintain high accuracy in combats, great use of gore with optimal amount of shock factor, has some of the most perfect panning for its transition shots, and of course Jeon Jong Seo returns with her top tier acting performance while Kim Ji Hoon is great scene stealer as the antagonist in the film. It's a really enjoyable cinematic experience that deserves to be shown on the big screen but still glad that Netflix has produced it really well this time.Cet avis était-il utile?
Important message
I fell in love with Jeon Jongseo after Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon. She is one of the best actresses and she plays such cool characters. Initially, I thought the person she was avenging could have done more to help the main character but putting that to the side this film just screamed female rage and I'm here for it. When you put into perspective the SA laws in Korea and how they are carried out it makes you feel hopeless. It's a country where cases like, "the burning sun" happen and the people involved aren't brought to justice which makes citizens and victims lose hope in authorities. This character brings out that justice. I liked how the perpetrator in the movie said something along the lines of "What I did wasn't even that bad and I don't deserve to die" because who are you to decide what is and isn't bad after what you have done to all of those girls? The downplaying of what they did is also common in real-life cases. This movie was amazing and I think it should be shown to everyone. Really disappointed to see such a low rating and the point of the movie flying over people's heads.Cet avis était-il utile?
