Min Joon leaves Earth along with the meteor shower. Song Yi is overcome by grief and has occasional hallucinations because she misses Min Joon. She would see him during her drama filming, when she eats, or when she's strutting down the red carpet. Every time it happens, Min Joon would only appear for a short moment before disappearing again. It turned out that Min Joon entered a different dimension and had regained his strength enough to return to Earth, but only for short periods of time. The last time they met, they lay on the lounge chair together, enjoying time together before Min Joon disappeared again. Their love remains everlasting despite physical separation. (Source: Viu)

Non of the lost memories, time jump, yelling Ajummas, switched at birth, drunkenness, giving all your money to family members, subservient women, weak/feminine men, and other quirky Kdrama tropes. The acting was great especially the female lead, she portrayed happy, sad, jealousy, anger, suspicion, crazy, so mart, decisive, friction with mom, loving nonna, and so on. It must have been a dream role for the actress. Every actor & character got there moments to shine, all the main actors are stars in their own respective. The wardrobe was iconic and timeless, the main set was so good it was an e

More Communication Issues! But Love Can Transcend the Galaxy! Spoiler Alert!

I titled one of my reviews for another drama “Major Communication Issues” and I have to say, this one is also falling in the same category, just not to such a great extent, and applicable mostly to the ML! But still, when you have to keep it a secret that you’ve lived on earth for 400 years, that you’re exceedingly wealthy, that you can teleport and have other superhuman powers, that you get sick from saliva or blood mingling, you can expect communication issues, I guess! And yet, you have sympathy for ML because you do become the black sheep or target when you levitate people’s dinnerware accidentally after you drink too much, or when you disappear suddenly at the speed of light and reappear elsewhere. What’s redeeming about this drama is that FL won’t let Mr. Alien’s weird non-talk/barriers/impenetrability to even remotely stop her! She has an indomitable spirit which is refreshing to see. She communicates almost too much, which is why they are the perfect couple actually! There are many scenes in this series with laugh out loud moments! But still, the FL—she has a lot of issues. Frankly, she seems pretty mean sometimes! However, she doesn’t hide her feelings which is a positive. She can be sort of selfish and self-absorbed too! Why does she keep hanging on to her boyfriend/friend of 15 years while a) she’s crushing on Mr. Alien and b) knowing that her “best friend” (who’s a little bipolar—nice, mean, nice, mean) also likes her boyfriend! But, in the end, what makes her character redeemable to me is that she is willing to accept him for who he is, and not let a little thing like his alien-ness get in the way. Also, a few other matters—how can she afford to stay in uber-luxury apartment after she runs out of money? Why don’t the police/prosecutor turn Mr. Alien in immediately? (Normally, he’d be whisked off to Area 54 in a hot minute in the US). Also, as usual in Korean dramas, how come there is such an issue with not telling parents when you break up with supposed “pledged” boyfriend? Why did Mr. Alien buy her such a small ring? He’s loaded! After he manages to return to Earth, are they married? Do they sleep together? Can they sleep together? Does he still have any of his assets? I would think so since they’re still living in his house. But it’s really so romantic that he manages to make his way back to her even though sometimes he can’t manage to stay all the time. I do think some things were lost in translation to me but overall what a lovely, romantic, fun, emotional drama!

this was my first K-drama and it was absolutely amazing. It did a brilliant job of sucking me into the K-drama blackhole.

A little convoluted and unclear, but it is a perfect ending to this drama.

A little convoluted and unclear, but it is a perfect ending to this drama. The good is that it touch base with all of the characters and gives closure. Again wonderful acting and I loved that I could laugh while feeling the sadness and longing.

What I didn't like was how he just vanished. Because he was suddenly dissipating in the forest I assumed he didn't make it on the UFO. However, when he comes back it kind of sounds like he went home. Then they flashed back when he was explaining how he's back. Not sure if some of it got jumbled in the translation of the subtitles. I would think Dramafever did a good job.

"Three years ago, when I left this place, I was sucked into somewhere. It's called a wormhole. After I went back and recovered everything I tried really hard to comeback. I didn't need the long time over there. I only needed the short time on earth."

So he did vanish, apparently into a wormhole. Which somehow took him to his home planet. He doesn't need the "long time" because he's adapted to earth's "short time". So now he's learned to use his teleporting powers with the wormhole, but he still can't control it? Either way it's fitting for the drama and their love story.

Sure the science fiction elements leave a lot to be desired. (And if he isn't going back to his home planet is he in vast darkness in space until he gets enough energy to come back. That could be scary and lonely depending on how long he lives. See it's too lose.) But, hey that's kind of the open question of the whole alien aspect here.

Despite that being totally unclear it is a perfect ending. Like Song Yi said it makes her love him more and cherish there time. Not to mention be dazzled as every time he comes back he's got new clothes on. (So if he's in the wormhole can he just alien magic new clothes, or if he's going to his planet are the making him earth clothes?) My only regret is that I didn't get to see Yoon Jae reunite with Do Min Joon again! Come on they are so cute together.

Things to note I adored their final dramatic kiss scene! Ah, so glamorous and fitting now that they alien is out of the bag.

I didn't like the ending

This ending felt like a cop out to me. Somehow he gets stuck in a wormhole, which doesn't end up killing him but instead somehow cures him/sends him back to earth? Wth? Also, there was no closure for the side characters like Se Mi or Hwi Kyung.

Best Ending

I have never been so satified with an kdrama ending in my life......They ended it in way we want more but at the same time we're happy with what we got.(They also kissed the same way poeple in real life would kiss if they had been separated for 3 Years..LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)It has a very bittersweet ending.I think Do Min Joon will be able to age now because going back and forth in space should speed up his aging process....I sooooooo wanted to see their kids but hey they're together....Well i really don't have anything else to say except This is one of the best dramas i have ever seen...and if this writer keeps on writing like this then she/he will be veeeryyy famous and i will watch everyone of her/his drama!!!

Satisfied feeling

So here we are, guys... The last episode, prepare tissues. I am SO glad that it's a happy ending! They're together and he's alive! After all the tears that were shed throughout this drama, I'm mega happy that they end up together :) the only thing is that the writers didn't make it clear at all whether DMJ will stay looking young while CSY carried on ageing.. Guess we won't have to worry about that but what about bodily fluids?! Will they be able to have their 7 kids?! I need answers, hahaha. Anyway, this is a beautiful drama with a great cast and OSTs that fit in perfectly. I will be missing all the laughs this dramas gave me!
