Oh, it's been a long while since I've seen a drama do pretty much everything right. THIS is how you do enemies-to-lovers. Yes, the leads have banter from the start and I thought it was just going to be annoyance-to-lovers, but they really ramped it up in the next few episodes and damn. We get actual violence and real betrayal. Yay!

The chemistry between the leads is fantastic, and I think this is one of the few instances where the romance arc weaves into the bigger plot perfectly. As much as I like some couples, it feels often out-of-place to have a "dating" episode where everything is sunshine and rainbows while the plot is put on hold. Instead, we get to see the leads communicating and working together to solve the mystery and catch the bad guy and that just means so much more. I'm just so impressed with the writing from start to finish; the setting and premise are creative and original, and even the subplots and mini-cases were impressive, and the show did an amazing job of raising the stakes and keeping them high.

I don't have any many criticisms about this drama, and if I do they're pretty minor; the transitions are just a little weird — it's like the show made it really clear where the ad breaks are, and the drama fades to black at the most inopportune times, like during really tense scenes. It's a really small thing but it did feel jarring sometimes.

Other than that, fantastic watch. I'm not a rewatcher but I think I might make an exception here.

Great story but some things could've been better.

Firstly the the drama was a great binge. I think it is one of the best kdramas in recent. Ive lost all my interest in kdramas because of the repetitive story lines. But this one caught my attention.
Over all the story was great. But they could've avoided the romance track. If there was no romance track at all the story could've been actually interesting and intense. Also i felt the ending was kind of open. Viewers like me might think there will be another season with such an ending.
Park Shin Hye's character was a badass character and i think somebody else might've been a better choice like Seo Yea Ji, IU, etc., Park Shin Hye was definitely not a right choice. Some viewers say that her acting has gotten better now but i think she is still the same. Finally the male leads character was really good and the actor was a perfect fit. But at times the character was paced down because of all the romance.
Overall it was a good series but they could've avoided certain things. It can be a good one time watch during the weekends.

poor frames transition

I am an avid kdrama watcher as it helps me relieves stress but I am also interested in film/media. we're just on ep6 i hope the editors will take note of this one especially since this is under disney, viewing experience should be seamless. when it comes to plot, casts, and music they're all good. but one thing i noticed is the changing of frames are bothering as some transitions are late or too fast. in d world of film this is a downside. i hope disney will do something about it. ive watched some of kdramas they produced before and i had a good experience but im not on this one, this might be on the editors end

good, then better.

At first when i watched this show, it was good and i looked forward to it every week, but it wasn't like a perfect show. The more i watched it and when i finished it, unexpectedly i though about how i actually was sad the show was over.

When i see the cover, im like sad it's over and i wish i could watch from new again.

I loved her character's attitude, her home, and her style. She makes me want to be just as her, she's so stylish and very confident. I think the writer did a great job designing her and making her an iconnn.
The ML is kinda just there. She swan he frog.

The show had a good about of eps and eac ep was compacted with substance and not just dragged on eps, barely any parts got boring, so that why its a 9.5, but i could almost argue its a 10/10.

my style of drama

i love this!!!! give me 10 more!!!!

this is how u make a show about demons (all shade to my demon). she was truly demonic and did demonic deeds. the premise was also good. it was very satisfactory to see the criminals get punished. the gore was good too. sometimes the violence was too graphic but still it was good.
THE ROMANCE. this is what i want from dramas. the way do-an is slightly interested in her in the beginning then he hates her, to following her to expose her and in turn actually liking her and understanding her. bit-na becoming his source of comfort and her becoming so WEAK for him. perfect. the angst? amazing. wish we could have had more but still im happy.
park shin-hye absolutely rocked this role. her expressions and fits were amazing. 10/10 performance.
i don't know if a season 2 would work well though. one of the main reasons this was fun was because there were 2 chases happening, bit-na with the criminals and do-an trying to prove its bit-na whose doing it. it wouldn't be fun now that do-an will have to protect her instead of arresting her

Park Shin Hye's Best Role So Far!!

From the way she acted as Kang Bitna, you could see that she was enjoying this so much. It was different from all her previous roles; an anti-hero character with supernatural power as its main theme. I am amazed when I found out that she did the stunt by herself (wow). She perfectly brought the character to life.

As for the storyline, this drama actually reminded me of an old anime called "Hell Girl". It's the same premise with different characterization of the female lead. Some people might find this drama uncomfortable due to the amount of violence and brutality, but as a fan of crime thriller, this is VERY SATISFYING HELL YEAH!!! And I am enjoying every bit of the comedy, especially the devils vs church people lmao.

Lastly, if i could be honest. Not really a fan of the romance. Kind of ruining the charisma of Kang Bitna's character. But, I also understand that that was needed for her character development. Also, since Han Da On's cute, I will give it a YES!

Don't Bother

Not even Park Shin-hye as Kang Bit-na, the "Judge from Hell," could save this series. Her character was totally unredeemable , which left viewers with an inability to connect and no reason to root for her. There was a lack of chemistry between Park Shin-hye and Kim Jae-young as Han Da-on, a police officer who is aware that Bit-na is a demon. But I found Bit-na so unlikeable that a lack of chemistry more than likely wasn't due to poor acting. YES, Bit-na was from hell, after all, but the screenwriter failed to develop a relatable, antihero protagonist. Bit-na was one of many villains in the story and she never adequately rose above a despicable, demonic level of moralilty. The graphic violence was unnecessary and much of that violence was perpetrated by Bit-na. What's to love? Thank goodness for fast forwarding. The ending was unsatisfactory, leaving an open for "part 2," which I will definitely skip. What a waste of good lead actors! Kim In Kwon and Kim Young Ok were, as always, reliably great in their supporting roles. More screentime for the incomparable, Shin Sung Rok, as Bael, may have helped the production, as well.

El mejor papel de Park Shin Hye

Park Shin Hye brilla en este papel, demostrando una vez más su talento. La serie es sumamente entretenida, con una protagonista que rompe moldes: fuerte, compleja y nada convencional. Lejos de ser la típica heroína sufrida, su personaje tiene un toque de rebeldía que la hace irresistible.
La mezcla perfecta de drama y comedia mantiene al espectador enganchado, ansioso por descubrir qué sucede en el próximo capítulo. Cada episodio termina con un cliffhanger que te deja con la intriga.
En resumen, hace tiempo que no veía una serie tan adictiva y divertida. Sin duda, la recomiendo al 100%. ¡No te pierdas esta joya!

Drama comedy horror 8.5

Concluso anche questo drama ....

È iniziato in maniera sconvolgente..abbiamo visto tutta la furia di justitia nel compiere i suoi giudizi sui peccatori degni dell'inferno in maniera macabra e senza pietà come è giusto che fosse, il tutto sono riusciti sempre a condirlo con un po di ironia che smorzava i toni lugubri..

Piano piano però c'è stata una trasformazione netta del nostro personaggio che vivendo con gli umani ha incominciato a immedesimarsi nel loro dolore, a provare pietà e compassione, diventando sempre di più umana...

Grazie sicuramente al nostro detective che non mollandola un secondo l'ha resa più buona, l'amore può cambiare anche il cuore del più perverso ... e il finale che volevamo è arrivato ...

Tutti hanno ricevuto la loro punizione ...justitia grazie all'angelo è tornata per il suo giudizio finale e devo dire che le bare bianche davanti all'assassino hanno commosso parecchio....

Il bacio 🔥 non ci ha lasciato indifferenti dato che lo abbiamo aspettato per 14 episodi 😂....

Sono soddisfatta? Si e no...amo il fantasy anche i più crudi...però mi piace che ogni cosa abbia il suo senso ... la scomparsa del vero giudice mi irrita non si sa sta povera donna dove sia finita...fuggiva tra i corridoi dell'inferno e poi???? ...

Justitia prende il corpo di kang bitna...perché quando muore non torna se stessa??? Almeno all'inferno merita il suo aspetto.... e Lucifero?? Le concede di vivere da umana se manda altri 10 peccatori all'inferno? Mi sembra un po forzato.... e mi spiace dirlo ma il detective in questo episodio perde di grinta ....sembra un po fantoccio ..... poi venato era stato mandato sulla terra perché gli era scappata bitna all'inferno...ora il suo nuovo ruolo?? E il segretario che non vuole ritornare all'inferno ma andare in paradiso ...in sostanza sono stati tutti puniti sulla terra e mo fanno cosa vogliono??? L'unica vincolata da tutto era solo justitia??? Tutte ste regole e poi....

Per questo il mio voto finale è 8.5 sopratutto per gli effetti speciali e la recitazione di park shin hye lei da 10! La storia in sé avrei voluto qualcosa di più... sono controcorrente ma è quello che penso...ma merita di essere visto quello senz'altro!!!
