The upcoming drama "Taerung Zombie Village" will reportedly be led by 2 PM's Ok Taecyeon.
According to several media outlets on May 2nd, Ok Taecyeon has been chosen as the main lead of the upcoming webtoon-based drama "Taerung Zombie Village."
Ok Taecyeon's agency 51K Entertainment responded to the reports. According to them, the idol-actor received the casting offer and he is currently reviewing it.
"Taerung Zombie Village" will be the next work of director Kim Min Ho. According to reports, the drama will premiere through an OTT platform.
The upcoming drama will be based on a popular webtoon of the same name. It will revolve around the happenings in a national athlete's training village Taereung. A virus that turns people into zombies spreads and the Olympic athletes will try to escape the village in order to save their loved ones.
Ok Taecyeon got the offer to play the lead role named Doh Rakgoo. He is a judo player who will do his best to save people from the zombie-infested place.
The original web novel "Taerung Zombie Village" was published in Naver from 2017 to 2018. It became a webtoon in the Naver series in October 2018.
If Ok Taecyeon confirms his casting, this will be his third project for 2022. He will be part of the upcoming drama "Blind" with Ha Seok Jin, APINK's Jung Eun Ji, Park Ji Bin, and Jung Eui Wook. He will also return to movies through the upcoming film "Hansan: The Emergence of Dragons" with Park Hae Il, Byun Yo Han, Kim Sung Gyu, Ahn Sung Ki, and Son Hyun Joo.
