Cha Chung Hwa is set to reunite with "Mr. Queen" co-star  Kim Jung Hyun in the upcoming fantasy k-drama "The Season of Kkok Du." 

On November 16th, it was officially confirmed that Cha Chung Hwa will be joining the series "The Season of Kkok Du." She will be working alongside  Kim Jung Hyun, Im Soo Hyang, and Kim Da Som

Cha Chung Hwa's agency IOK Company announced that the actress would join the series as Chak Shin. 

"The Season of Kkok Du" is a medical fantasy romance that will showcase the journey of the grim reaper who is the only one existing in the underworld. Every 99 years, he goes to the earth and lives as a human for 49 days. He will enter the body of the human named Do Jin Woo and there he will encounter a female doctor that has the mysterious power to order him around.

 The upcoming series is the collaboration work of directors Baek Soo Chan and Kim Ji Hoon and writers Kang Yi Hun and Huh Joon Woo.

Cha Chung Hwa will portray the tole of Chak Shin. She is known for being the "god of rumors." She is a famous influencer with 1.5 million subscribers. She came down to earth to help Kkok Du. She will use her influence to help Kkok Du in both physical and mental ways. 

"The Season of Kkok Du" will start airing in the first half of 2023. The series will exclusively air on MBC.

This will be the first project of Cha Chung Hwa for 2023. 

In 2022, Cha Chung Hwa became busy with several k-dramas and an upcoming film. She was part of the k-dramas "Dr. Park’s Clinic" and "Why Her?" She also made a special appearance in the series "Cleaning Up." 

Cha Chung Hwa will also star in the upcoming movie "Birth" with Yoon Shi Yoon, Ahn Sung Ki, Yoon Gyung Ho. Kim Kang Woo, Lee Moon Shik, and Song Ji Yeon.

The actress made her acting debut in 2010. Cha Chung Hwa is known for being included in the k-dramas "Shopping King Louie," "Black," "The Fiery Priest," "Crash Landing on You," "Mr. Queen," "At a Distance, Spring Is Green," "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," and more.
