Lee Seung Gi's soon-to-be mother-in-law, actress Kyeon Mi Ri responds to the 'false' accusations that have been plaguing her family.

Korean actress, Kyeon Mi Ri, has spoken up against various false accusations to protect her daughter Lee Da In and future son-in-law. The family is currently facing irreparable damage due to the widespread reproduction of false information in the news. In response, the law firm, Daeho, which is representing Lee, stated that they are speaking up to correct the false claims made against the family.

Daeho clarified that the Lee family was not involved in the notorious stock manipulation scandal by Lubo, which resulted in more than 300,000 victims, including suicides. Additionally, Lee and her husband were victims of the multi-level scam by JU, and had no relation to the stock manipulation incident. The reports that Lee's husband took ₩26.6 billion (~$20 million) from Corebit's stock issuance and used it to pay off personal debts were also false. Lee's husband had borrowed only ₩500 million ($400,000), which was repaid within months, and did not accumulate any wealth through Corebit.

Furthermore, the allegations that Kyeon Mi Ri's villa in Hannam-dong was built with proceeds from criminal activity and that her family is living extravagantly with ill-gotten gains are completely baseless. The villa was purchased with income from Lee's acting career spanning over 30 years.

Lee's camp expressed regret and frustration at the distortion of facts and exaggerated claims, including false news, blog posts, and YouTube videos, and politely requested the removal and correction of such content. In their last statement, the legal representative apologized for conveying the rumors once again.

Kyeon Mi Ri pledged to no longer tolerate any false accusations and threatened to take legal action if necessary. Her goal is to correct the false rumors that have already spread and to restore the reputation of her family.

On February 7, Lee Seung Gi personally announced that he is tying the knot with Lee Da In. The two will hold a private wedding on April 7, 2023, at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas located in Gangnam, Seoul.
