OTT platform wavve reveals its 2022 lineup!

OTT platform wavve announces its official project lineup for this year. 

For this year, ZE: A's Im Si Wan, Son Hyun Joo, Kwon Sang Woo, Sung Dong Il, Joo Ji Hoon, Park Ji Hoon, Kim Hee Ae, Shin Hye Sun, and more will be the main stars of wavve's upcoming dramas and movies. 

"Tracer Season 2"

First on the list is the second season of "Tracer." The drama will premiere on February 18 and it will be led by Im Si Wan, Son Hyun Joo, Go Ah Sung, and Park Yong Woo. The series will have 8 episodes and just like the first season, it will also be available on the public broadcasting station, MBC. "Tracer Season 2" will be directed by Lee Seung Young and written by Kim Hyun Jung. 

"Crisis X"

Next up will be the series "Crisis X" starring Kwon Sang Woo and Sung Dong Il. The upcoming drama will air this summer. This drama will be the next partnership of Kwon Sang Woo and Sung Dong Il. The two have worked before for the movie "The Accidental Detective." 

"Weak Hero"

Park Ji Hoon will return to dramas with the upcoming webtoon-based drama "Weak Hero." The series will reportedly air in the second half of the year. The series will be directed by Yoo Soo Min. It will tell the story of a model student named Yeon Shi Eun. He will be the weak hero who uses his brain to fight against violence. 

"The King of Demons" and "Mission To Possible" will also air in the second half of the year. There are no specific casting and other details have been revealed yet for these two dramas. 

There will also be upcoming original films from wavve that will be released in 2022. Here are some of them: 

"Gentleman"

For the upcoming movie "Gentleman," Joo Ji Hoon, Park Sung Woon, and Choi Sung Eun will be the main leads. The film will be released in the first half of 2022. 

"Gentleman" will be directed by Kim Kyung Won who also helmed the film "Artist: Born Again." Trickster and H& Entertainment will produce the upcoming movie.

"Dead Man"

Another star-studded film from wavve will be the upcoming movie "Dead Man." The film will be led by Jo Jin Woong, Kim Hee Ae, and Ryu Hye Young. "Dead Man" will showcase the survival and revenge of a man who is trapped and lives as a "dead man." The movie will be released in the second half of 2022. 

"Brave Citizen"

Last on the list is the upcoming film "Brave Citizen" starring Shin Hye Sun and UKISS' Lee Jun Young. The series will be depicted from a webtoon with the same name. It will tell the story of So Si Min, a top tier in her hapkido skills when she was in high school. Seven years later, she is now a part-time teacher. But she suddenly became a target of the evil student named Han Soo Kang. 

Aside from dramas and movies, wavve also plans to create several original shows such as dating, survival, reality, and gaming shows.
