Lee Joong Ok joins Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young in a new crime romance K-drama
Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah are both confirmed for a new tvN romantic comedy drama.
A representative from tvN shared on April 2 that Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah will be working together on the upcoming drama remake of the 2004 movie "Mr. Hong."
The remake of "Mr. Hong" will be titled "Seashore Village ChaChaCha" (literal translation). It is a collaboration between director Yoo Je Won ("The King: Eternal Monarch" and "Hi Bye, Mama!" PD) and scriptwriter Shin Ha Eun ("The Crowned Clown").
The story will be about the romance between dentist Yoon Hye Jin and the local legend Hong Doo Shik. Because of unforeseen circumstance, Yoon Hye Jin will be forced to move to Gongjin, a seaside village. She then meets unemployed Mr. Hong (Hong Doo Shik). He is known in the Gongjin village as being a helping hand to everyone.
The production team of "Seashore Village ChaChaCha" stated that viewers can look forward to Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah's characters, as well as their chemistry, and the heart warming story they will convey in the drama.
This will be Kim Seon Ho's return to dramas since "Start-Up." He rose to even more fame in the drama starring Nam Joo Hyuk and Bae Suzy. Aside from the remake of "Mr. Hong," he's also in talks for the upcoming drama "Link: Eat, Love, Die" with Moon Ga Young.
Shin Min Ah will appear in two dramas for 2021. She will star in tvN's "Seashore Village ChaChaCha" and SBS' "I am a Nurse, a Human." The top actress last appeared in the second season of "Chief of Staff" in 2019.
tvN's new drama "Seashore Village ChaChaCha" is scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
