APINK and "Queen of Tears" actress Yoon Bo Mi is confirmed to be dating!
Ryu Joon Yeol and Bae Sung Woo will reportedly reunite with "The King" director in a new drama!
On December 23rd, reports circulated that Ryu Joon Yeol, Bae Sung Woo, and director Han Jae Rim ("The Face Reader" and "The Show Must Go On") will be reuniting through the drama "Money Game." The three worked together in the 2017 film "The King."
Ryu Jun Yeol's agency C-Jes Entertainment responded to the reports and confirmed that the actor received the casting offer and he is still reviewing it.
"Money Game" will be based on a webtoon of the same name by Bae Jin Soo. The drama will have eight episodes and it will narrate the story of eight participants of a game who will share the prize money of 44.8 billion won (approx. $37 million US dollars) in 100 days. If they purchase goods, prices will be deducted from the total prize money. The drama will be produced by Studio N.
Ryu Jun Yeol received the offer to play the character who suffers from personal debt and will eventually join the game. The character that Bae Sung Woo will portray hasn't been revealed.
"Money Game" will reportedly start its production in the first half of 2022. It is still under discussion on where the drama will air.
If Ryu Joon Yeol accepts the offer, this will be his first drama project for 2022. He last starred in the JTBC drama "Lost" with Jeon Do Yeon, Park Byung Eun, Kim Hyo Jin, Park Ji Young, and Park In Hwan. He will also participate in the upcoming movies "The Owl" and "Alien + People."
Meanwhile, if Bae Sung Woo confirms his casting for the drama, this will be his comeback project after his drunk driving incident. In November 2020, the actor was arrested by the police for drinking and driving. His agency halted all his projects and stated that Bae Sung Woo will deeply reflect. He was removed from the drama "Delayed Justice" and his friends/agency CEOs Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae came to the rescue. The actor is also in talks to join the upcoming film "Secret."
