Sul Kyung Gu drags Park Eun Bin down in Disney+ medical thriller 'Hyper Knife'

The Disney+ original medical thriller Hyper Knife dropped stills featuring Sul Kyung Gu as the top neurosurgeon Choi Deok Hee. 

Renowned for his acting skills and charisma, Sul Kyung Gu comes to play a doctor for the first time since his debut.

Hyper Knife is a medical thriller that portrays the battle of wits between Se Ok (Park Eun Bin), a genius doctor who fell from grace, and her mentor, Deok Hee (Sul Kyung Gu), who kicked her to the bottom.  

 Sul Kyung Gu delivers a stellar performance as Choi Deok Hee, a world-famous neurosurgeon who betrayed his once beloved disciple, Seok. The actor is to intricately portray the complex changes in the mentor-mentee relationship, brought about by unexpected turns in life over the past six years.

Sul Kyung Gu shared his thoughts, stating, "I saw him as a person completely disconnected from society and relationships outside of his field. To add depth to the character, I tried to capture his awkward and imperfect aspects." Park Eun Bin, who plays Jung Se Ok, Choi Deok Hee's rival, expressed, "As a scene partner, he was incredibly reliable, and I had such a great time working with him."

Park Byung Eun, who plays Han Hyun Ho, praised Sul Kyung Gu's performance, stating, "His voice, emotions, and gaze make every actor trust him completely. Simply acting alongside him is a privilege and an honor." 

Hyper Knife premieres on March 19 exclusively on Disney+.
