I recommend Beyond!! They're from Hong Kong. They reminded me of some Russian 90s rock bands, having a similar melancholic sound... and Boohwal (K-rock) as well (the early works).

This is my favorite song:

It's pretty much their sound, I think.

Only Have Feelings For You / Zhi Dui Ni You Gan Jue (Rock Ver.) - JJ Lin Gou Ai - Dong Cheng Wei & A Chord Angel / Tian Shi - Mayday Not a big fan of C-Rock; the closest I listen to is bands, but I don't think they fall under the category of 'rock'. However, if you do prefer that genre over pop, you can check out Dong Cheng Wei or Mayday. Sodagreen is good too, but they're more of ballad and pop.

One artist I would like to add is Alan. Her music is simply amazing! She sang the end song of the Red Cliff movie, and she has released several CDs in Japanese and Mandarin. :)

ZTao is probably one of my close favorites for trying his absolute best after leaving EXO to make it big in the Hip Hop and Rap scene.
