Wait... Is the one you're thinking of by chance, Her Private life?? The Ml and FL have a ChiCon. Both times she cares for him when he's in the hospital and when he's drunk, he grabs her hand and refuses to let go. Later it is revealed it's because he has trauma regarding his childhood and those who held his hand leaving him.
