Been watching Caged Again and although I have had my contention with aspects of the series, which I still do, it has it's cute moments and I'm just letting myself watch it for what it is. Those cute moments are very brief and fleeting, but there are some cute moments to enjoy — so far. The two friends, Jodd and Jeng, are good supports. Ben(Sun) is kinda hit and miss for me, and I'm just not feeling the connection or chemistry from him towards Jay, whereas, Jay does have that toward Ben making it a strange one-sided thing. Jay is absolutely adorable and killing it as Junior, and he is stealing the entire series for me.

I also decided to dive into Our Youth and give it a try. I'm loving it and I'm all in. I tend to have a love hate relationship with JBLs. I just don't connect with them as well as I do Thai, Taiwanese, and Korean BLs(in that order). If you were to look at my watched list, they are practically non-existent lol. I do want to enjoy more JBLs, but it's just so hard for me to find ones that I like. I've tried many and just can't get into most. This one though is fantastic and I'm hooked.

 RXinw:
I saw a TikTok edit of Ticket to Heaven using Lana Del Rey's song Young and Beautiful and it really hits in the feels. This series has not even dropped yet and already it has fans in a choke-hold. Out of all the new series announced this one has been the most talked about (at least that has been my experience).

I just went to take a look at the trailer for it. I will watch anything with Fourth & Gemini. Just by the trailer I can see how they killed it in this and taking their acting to a new level together—something more mature(although this was not at all what I ever imagined or expected lol). I'm so glad to see them in something that's not in a school again lol.

That said I'm not a fan of the Christian theme and how much it's quoting bible verses and the whole aspect of being gay is problematic and a sin yadda yadda. I hated western gay media for just this reason. I grew up in that Catholic Christian environment and still deal with that shit with family to this day. I also said to myself, who the hell is this for, because Thailand and is barely over 1% Christian. So, I'm here like maybe this is a decision by GMMtv to target a western audience to try to expand the BL market and grab western audiences. I don't know if that's their intent or not, but I feel like it has to be. So, if that's the case then I'm behind it for that reason.

I would love to see western countries, especially the US, discover the wealth of the BL genre that we all love and have been enjoying for some time now. I find it so hard to find people here in the US, especially gay guys, that even know this genre even exists or that it's this robust with content that's so amazingly different and better than anything we're given in the west. If there is any pair that can sell this series and captivate an entire new market from the west, it would be Fourth and Gemini. I will be watching it for them no doubt.

I am liking 'Your sky' alot. Teerak is saur cute. Not gonna lie, everyone in the series are so adorable in their own way. I can't wait for further episodes.

Here's a BL viewing schedule for December 2024 from the BL GL Wonderland discord server. Any updates to the calendar will be uploaded to the calendar channel on the server.

Is anyone here watching Bad to Bed? If you are, how do you find it?

 segos:

I am most certainly back because THK is coming out and it's my favorite couple. Yeeee.

We're all in for a treat!

I was convinced of their ability to pull off scripts with great depth after watching them in Moonlight Chicken. Before I was not a fan of their previous series. I look forward to this series.

One of the reasons I love BL so much is that they show gay romances can have happy endings. It has been my experience that a lot of Western gay content has sad endings or open ones, especially the movies; while the series often has the couple breaking apart by the 3rd season. Hence I have yet to watch newly popular series such as Young Royals, Heartstopper and Love Victor.

I generally steer away from M/M books that have religion at the centre of the story, but I find it easier to watch a series with it. Perhaps it is because I hold reading at a more intimate level where my mind is more wired to the story so such religiously influenced stories can be draining for my mind and with how my mind works I will question and debate too much leaving drained lol.

Confusing. Lost between dreams, delusions, past, present. It's not making much sense - at least not just now.

I'm right with you on that among other personal reasons for myself. Despite that, I'll be looking forward to seeing it.

Same. I'm a bit behind on the series which I'll be catching up on this weekend.

Spare Me Your Mercy - Episode 1

First of all, it is great to see JJ from Great Men Academy here playing the lead role of Lt. Thiu.

I like what I see so far. I am definitely intrigued and looking forward to see this one through till the end.

My current hypothesis is that Dr. Kan is performing "Mercy Killings" to put terminally ill patients out of their miseries and he will pretend to like Thiu so that he can keep abreast with the investigation to cover his crimes but will eventually actually catch feelings.

I await the next epiosde.

I will wait and binge this one then.

Bad Guy - finale

A good watch to kill 30 minutes.

I enjoyed it for what it was.

"LATEX" (South Korea, 2022) : What can I say, Matchbox never fails to deliver. This story was a bit different but still entertaining. In the end, it was kind of sweet, too. Available on-demand on Vimeo.

I think you may be right. It's going to be an interesting 2025...

I wish I could just act out when it happens, but #1, it's my fault and #2, so much time and effort invested already, I just keep going until I can't.

So I did. I went back after dinner and fixed it again.  All is well and I can sleep tonight, lol.

I cannot explain the sheer amount of respect I have for u rn lmao /j
