To quote MDL's FAQ:
Why do you only offer dramas and movies from certain countries?
A: We have chosen to focus on building a comprehensive database of actors, movies, and dramas from these 7 countries. Once we have a large number of entries from these countries, we will consider adding more countries to our database. Our goal is to have a complete database for the countries we do have.

Every entry is added manually by volunteers (aka users), so just to add them (and then check them) needs a lot of work.
