Hi!! I'm also pretty new to dramas (and MDL in general) but here's a few of my top faves!

Tomorrow - Korean Action/Fantasy, a really good concept and Lee Soo Hyuk is a must-watch actor.

Weak Hero - Korean Action/Thriller, absolutely amazing acting, warning there is a lot of violence and you WILL cry.

Brewing Love - Korean Romcom, a newer show but by far one of the best romcoms I've watched. We love a physically strong yet emotionally damaged female lead.

Falling Into Your Smile - Chinese Romcom, a great (imo) intro to Chinese dramas for those who enjoy Korean romance/romcoms. This one is also a little shorter than most, and it's contemporary.

Love Between Fairy and Devil - Chinese Costume/Wuxia Romance, a great option for a first drama in this genre, it has two well-known actors (Dylan Wang & Esther Yu) and gives you a good idea of what the genre is like. Forbidden love, war, and love triangles galore.

If you'd like some more specific recs based on some other shows/genres that you like, please let me know!
