Okay, I just have to rant.
I'm not a big fan of relationship dramas that dwell from ep 2 to 16, but that doesn't mean I'm a fan of relationship dramas that doesn't even happen. Seriously, Yun Ju just stands there and watches them be happy. At least squeeze in a LITTLE bit drama! And Sang Hee! He loves Ah Jung, so why can't he stand up for himself? Both of them were useful to begin with, but they're getting more and more useless.

Didn't even try THAT :D
Have just read the recaps of 13th and 14th episodes, it did not get me even by Ki-Joons cries on the street that he REALLY love that woman :D Whatever, so flat...Though I watched the RAW of 15th episode, not bad, everything is ready for the final episode :D
SPOILERS ENSUE!!!

Seriously, how can a drama that is so poorly written, edited and directed be so amazingly addictive? I've watched 15 and couldn't stay away from the live recap of 16...like a crack addict!! I mean, I know the plot sucked like a Dyson. If I really dwell too much about what this drama could have been had the writing been up to snuff, I have twinges of such anger and frustration. For Kang Ji Hwan and Yoon Eun Hye more than anyone else, poor dears. But they made Lie To Me watchable for me. I have no real explanation for that other than I fell in love with Ki Joon and Ah Jung falling in love...whatever plot stinkbombs were going on around them. The ending looks very sweet and I can't wait to watch it with subs. I wish for both of them that their next projects to be creative and critical successes. They deserve it.

Ep.16:
At first part while i'm cleaning my room, when Gong Ah Jung said, "what?", i turn my head to the screen, suddenly a man kiss her, i thought it was Hyun Sang Hee from the side, I said: "WHAAATTT?", i was relieved it was Gi Joon.
I love the part when Hyun Gi Joon try to seduce Ah Jung LOL!
The Marriage thing over telephone really makes Hyun Gi Joon happy, it turns out to be her father's marriage thing kekeke :D what a pity man!
I love the scene when Ah Jung kisses Gi Joon on her lap, so sweet :)
Lastly, 8 pieces things of memory (i think 1 more should be added MIC = Mic Kiss).
Happy ending with kiss at Jeju-do seashore, romantic \(^_^)/
Note: Memorable scenes: Mic Kiss, Cola Kiss, Duck jump, My Wife ??? (nae anae ???) [with Chinese martial art background song] :D , pushy pushy hip moves when Hyun Gi Joon picks up Gong Ah Jung while tea time with Yoo So Ran.
Finally my fav scene: Yeobo, na yeogiiss-eo !!! (Honey, i'm here!) [Waving hand!!!] by Hyun Gi Joon, either by Gong Ah Jung. :D
I'm bowing to the greatest actors' & actresses' acting. [Standing Ovation]

Ohhh... that last ep was soooo cute! What a great story! No presure, not much drama, just two people who need to find their way to each other. Gosh... i just love Kang Ji Hwan ^_^ he was super duper cute in last few eps. He just changed sooo much - acts like a kid, having fun, not that stiff guy like he was in the beginning. I like how Ah Jung didnt just jump after him, when he asked jher to merry him (even though i didnt fully understand her need to search for something).
That last scene was a little bit... too sweet. But the kiss was still pretty good :)

I was so dissappointed! This drama is still one of my ultimate favorites but damn it I should have got to see a wedding or at least some kids! Geez! I love how KJH became a total hyper, love dork. He was so freaking cute in the last few episodes and he said many lines that will make it very hard for my future husband.
Ji Hwan and Eun Hye's acting carried this drama. Their chemistry is off the freaking charts! I hope one day we will get to see these two together again.

Phew! I finally made it to the end without cringing too much. Actually, the last episode was pretty sweet. Full of clichés and facepalming moments, but sweet. Like many said here, Special Mention to Kang Ji Hwan and Yoon Eun Hye for being actors good enough to display credible on-screen chemistry, even when the writers screwed up the script. They made the last 8 episodes watchable for me, even if I did regret and greatly miss the tone of the first ones. I liked the humor, I liked the tension between the characters, the misunderstandings and Sang Hee! He was such an important character at the beginning but have you noticed how he's been completely ignored as soon as Ah Jung and Gi Joon officially had feelings for each others?! I thought for a split second in ep. 16 preview, even if it didn't make sense with the story, that he was the one kissing Ah Jung at the airport. I was like "OMG YES! GO GO LITTLE BROTHER!"... which actually drove me to play episode 16 right after I ended with 15... only to discover it was Gi Joon. My bubble bursted, lol. I know having Sang Hee fighting for Ah Jung would have brought the story back to the past all over again, but I was anticipating it and I sincerely think their chemistry was pretty good too. I really wanted him to stand up for himself and fight for her and I'm so disappointed that he missed his chance so many times that it was in the end already too late and pointless to try. It broke my heart he didn't even explain the painting to Ah Jung and that the writers made her completely oblivious to his feelings... Even if it may be the most mature decision for his character - showing that he has learnt and grown from his past "errors" (if falling in love can be considered as such, sighs) - I'm still very sad with his closure.
So Ran being already here to take up the "annoying bitch" role (love her closure and how she wrapped it up nicely with everyone though), I still don't get why the writers decided to put useless Yoon Juu between our two lovers instead of using Sang Hee. It wasn't a wise choice if you ask me, especially when you make up such an unrealistic character just to pathetically send her back to where she came from. Viewers didn't relate nor feel pity for her. Epic character fail here.
Same goes for the brother's past. I think someone, if not BaT, mentionned here it would have been good to bring it up to give some more depth to the story and characters but they decided to brush this element aside as well.
I'm mourning over all this potential that has been spoilt. Lie To Me could have been SO MUCH better than this. It started as one of my top favorite drama of this season. It had this extra spark other dramas usually don't have but past half of it, all its sheen was clearly lost... these will be my final words for this topic.

LOL, I wish I had your ability to synthesize.
I actually think the whole last... 5? 6? episodes sucked. But it's true that the last one was the icing on the cake in the suck department.
I wish someone would be so kind and decrypt for me that convoluted speech about love being like lost memories, and time having no end, space is infinite and leaves no mark bla bla bla, all written on her arm. Right, Ki Joon must have remembered the motto: verba volant, scripta manent. How silly of me. :P
And what to say about the editing? I believe the editor used a chopping axe to cut the parts. How were Ah Yung and Ki Joon magically teleported from room/airport to that cliffy field were they ran towards each other in perfect Hot Shot style? And to add drama to the momentous encounter, he dramatically declares that he never wants to leave her again not even for a day.
Music rises.
Oh dear.
:S

Yeah, that was lost on me also. As was that last speech about love coming from lies and sincerity being hotter than love or some such. I couldn't tell if the translation was crap or if it just didn't make any sense. So I turned to a recap for clarification, and I've come to the conclusion that... it just doesn't make any dang sense. A fitting conclusion for the series, I thought.
...I can have Warrior Baek Dong Soo now?

This SFM!! I was so disappointed but I kept watching thinking things would get better. Clearly I was having a mental breakdown because WHY would I think that? It was painful.

Oh dear, I had forgotten the last backgroud speech, which in the intention of the writer was probably meant to leave us with that satisfying feeling of having watched a drama on the sense of life & love, something no one had ever thought about before, like "telling the truth is better than lying", or "love conquers all", including Ah Jung having to learn 6 languages in a couple of months and taking up golf, her favourite sport.
Honestly, I'd have much preferred them to keep on lying. There's something poetic about a good lie. Instead of him declaring in the open that they were not married (I think that moment marked the shift of atmosphere - and quality - in the whole drama), they should have married in secret right there and then and become perfect accomplices in crime.

Your natural optimism is adorable. ;);)

This! Can you just imagine how good it would have been if they had just got married to protect the original lie. No painful I quit but I will cry later because you fired me... after I quit. None of that I lost something... our memories. I can't marry you hot, richest guy in all of South Korea whom I actually love until I find it. LTM should have hired us! The ending would have been so much better.
