I really loved episode 6, but I have a bit to say about it, starting from here: *I like ChiHo/ByeoRi too. I was telling someone the other day that my hope is that by the end of the series (when she’s grown up a bit in age) that ChiHo will take notice. I still hold to that possibility, even though ChiHo has quite possibly stolen Shin-young’s heart (I agree that she’s protesting way too much).While I too get San’s actions, I’m really disappointed in his character in regards to Shin-young. His “you’re only obligated to stay by my side” that he was spewing angered me more because it seemed like a complete role reversal from the San who swooped in to tell Takeshi to get his hands off her. It was controlling and, in my opinion, a bit cruel. I know he’s upset that it seems that her interest is being drawn to ChiHo, but he can cool it on the male ego just a bit. (That scene actually has me rooting for ChiHo for the time being.)Shin-young, Shin-young, Shin-young…sigh. She could be so much more than what she is right now (just what is she, exactly?). It’s sad that I really don’t care about her character as much as ByeoRi. She has neither the depth or the acting chops that I’d wished, but I’d stuck by her to see if she’d improve. I’m not so sure if we’ll ever see that. I hope so, though, for both our leads’ sakes.*

Woah, the tables turned for our main leads ehh? Not that I'm complaining, I liked him from the start, but this last 2 episodes are meant for Min Chi Ho to gain some love, I guess. Min Chi Ho can also be the main lead, he has the same depth in character or even more degree than Kang San, at least on what the recent episodes are showing. And I admit too, I am liking him more for the choices he made. I'm not surprised if Shin Young's feelings will be swayed a little bit because I felt that way too after episode *6...LOL.. As for Kang San, I understand him but I really can't help empathizing for Min Chi Cho more at least until these latest episodes. And as for Byeo-ri, what a very good development. Finally! I get what I want, and there's more, please just stay where you are and don't leave that place for good, girl! I am rooting for yah! hahaha. She's cute. This drama is only getting better. Jong Hee Bong's multiple roles is one of this drama's signature deals I won't forget when this drama ends. Very original and very funny. Keep this up show. :D

Hmm, I am not sold on the main romance yet, that's why I'm so invested on shipping Byeo-ri/ Chi Ho instead, lol. I'm not really sure if it's because of the female character or the female actress. I think she had some development though because at least, even though she was conflicted, she followed what she felt was right in the end.

I agree there, but I even find her decision more based on "Oh, he did this because of what he said to me" rather than "He's standing up for what is right, so I should try to stand up for him." Even if that was his reason (but I'm not entirely sold that he just up and decided to do that because of SY; I think he's been working up to that since episode 1), I don't believe that SY necessarily has become an active agent that wholeheartedly accepts the rebellion against the government. I wish for that type of growth from her, even if it will put her in a situation against her father and the high-society that's she's a part of (and possibly even San).

Basketball watchers, please be aware of the changes in the show. There will only be 18 episodes! The show will end Dec. 17, and the show will NOT cover anything post-Occupation (the Olympic basketball team, the North/South division, and for those of us who ship it, the possibility of ChiHo/ByeoRi). Evidently, the network (TvN) is citing the need for more episodes post-Occupation. The show was supposed to cover this period in the last six episodes (19-24), but they have decided to tell a fuller story of that period by possibly having a second season.

Aww., I'm actually looking forward for those years they cut off. ._. Goodluck with Season 2 though, this drama has low ratings, I don't have high hopes they will pursue the next installment. Oh well, who knows? I like the drama for the historic standpoint, the basketball theme and also because of the 2 male leads, that's why I will keep on watching. Thanks for the update. :DD ... and Byeori and Chi ho pairing? With the age they gave her--- ?????.. deym.. When will it happen? On the 2nd season also? I hope not.

I haven't watch the drama yet although i am planing to watch the drama because i will enjoy while watching the drama. it's related to the my old game. i like the game too much. the drama is basis on the poverty so it will be fun.......

People are saying though, that she'll be 19 by the end of the occupation, so maybe there still is hope for them. :)

No problem about the updates. I just wanted people to know what's going on so that they can prepare for the differences in the synopsis.

What happened to episode 10? Or rather how can the ending of that episode be that way? It seemed to be threading to a direction I'm not signed in to and if it confirms itself on episode 11, or even the coming episodes I will be disappointed.

I very much like the drama and hope it will get a second season and go further in history. Somehow I ship the secretary with Shin Young. That guy would deserve her. She needs a real man and not both our leads who still need to get a hold of themselves.
