I have seen recently two series with Zhang Wan Yi, and I liked both, so I have checked LYF too. I couldn't watch the entire series, because the reversed harem concept is not for me, but I have seen the compilation videos made with Cang Xuan-FL and Xiang Liu-FL scenes. I haven't watched the videos on Tushan Jing-FL, because he was already in some scenes of the other videos, and it was enough for me to have an opinion on him. 

I wasn't sad by the ending of LYF2, because for me it's evident that FL will end up (later on...) with Cang Xuan, in some way or an other. Of course it's not included in the series, because audience like "sad" endings, but with the personality of FL (smart, strong headed, capable, active character), it's impossible for her to stay with a man for a lifetime, who has no ambitions, no plans, no strenght, no own ideas. It was shown in the series that she hates boredom, and she will die from it with that character. So her wake up would be inevitable :D  (and one of the closing sentence of the series was: "You are bound to meet one day" (talking about Cang Xuan and Xiao Yao).

Well, that's a different take on a fan fic ending... most fan fics try to get XY back with Xiang Liu. ;p  But it is an excellent point.  Also, it's clear that CX wants XY back in his life in the drama.  In the book ... well, their split is a bit more final.

Xiao Yao is a bit complicated, because she isn't self aware or all that honest with herself.  You can't trust what she says completely.

I LOVED Are You the One? but I haven't had a chance to watch Rise of Ning yet.  I saw a melon that said ZWY new project will be a modern suspense one.  Something different for him.

I liked The Rise of Ning very much, although it wasn't perfect, still very entertaining to watch. :)

I actually liked the trailer for it more than Are You the One? but I was offline when it started and got caught up in some other new dramas when I got back online.  But I'm definitely going to watch Rise of Ning.

Are You the One? was a welcome surprise that I enjoyed all around.  So funny and warm and I loved all the couples.
