Vibe-y Crime Series or Movie?

I'm looking for something that has a specific vibe, the same neon noir lighting as: My Name + The Worst of Evil. I've heard "extracurricular" is like that so it's on my list. Bonus point if it's set in the 90's. Gangster main characters. Evne more bonus points if there is romance and a villain in love with the FL. but not necessary.

Don't know how open you are about older movies, but I reckon I'll rec some of those, in case you're interested:

  • Gonin (it's made in the 90s, and it has a look of urban decay and--if memory serves, it's been a while since I watched it--some very distinctive neon-y lighting as well; it is incredibly brutal, though, so if you consider watching it PLEASE READ THE TAGS FIRST  because it has all sorts of trigger warnings you can think of)
  • Woman in Black (the plot is rather weak, imo, but the vibe and mood? immaculate; it has this very distinctive 80s aesthetics, with lots of darkness and shadows and I think some neons too but not too prominent; trailer to give you some idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UqO3iCvZFw)
  • The Wild Goose Lake (finally, a new-ish movie :D; see the trailer for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2pcumduhDM; you really should check out Chinese new-noir, imo, it seems that quite a few of them would fit your criteria)
