Looking for hidden gem that are truly underrated, the kind of dramas that barely anyone talks about but totally deserve more love!
Something like "𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝟏𝟕", "From now on showtime", "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 " or "𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫",  "Reset"—doesn’t matter what genre, as long as it’s a great watch & got happy ending.

But I do prefer romance genre more even if it's just a subplot tho!! Here's my Watchlist.

 mirarmy:

gotta say a very big list! I haven't watched any of them ;)

Thanks a lot!!

I watch a lot, lol. NP, hope you find something you like! Oh, and I just realized since you like happy endings (I do, too) I completely forgot to add in that list (in case you pick any of those) that Buried City to Shut All Lights has a happy ending as long as you watch the sequel movie (the drama is an open ending), Colourful Bone has two alternate endings (one happy, one tragic so you can pick whichever you like), and Bloody Romance is an open ending that can be seen as hopeful (it was supposed to get a season two but it never happened). All the rest have clear happy endings.

try Definitely Not Today, one of my favs but no one really talks about it. It's short, but really comforting, healing and sweet. It's also a romance! you can watch it for free on youku, or viki if im correct.

Probably Thai romance drama with a splash of comedy but not exactly rom-com since one of the leads has mental health issue:

Or Chinese historical suspense drama which is exciting and thrilling:

Or complicated Chinese friendship drama which always have troubles and problems comes their way but their friends will always be there to support them:

Or Japanese mystery solving drama:

Or Japanese (grand/real/feels like)parents-child bond drama:

I love the way you've described them all in just few lines; I would make sure to give them all a try! Thanks a lot...

Not sure if the second one, is something for you, but I loved it

Zombie Detective

Chicago Typewriter was actually talked a lot when it first aired but since then it has disappeared. However that is a general thing taking place: Dramas get hyped, everyone talks about them and suddenly puff. No one knows about them anymore. :)

I'm generally loving most of all crime/thriller dramas with complex stories like eg.
Watcher,
 Signal,
Burning River
Burning Ice
Trinity of Shadows

each one has grey characters, well though through cases, interesting twists, great character development and just absolutely cinematography and music. Truly they are done and a joy for all crime lovers :)
