Awww that's a much cuter ending, anything would've been better than the crappy one in the drama series honestly. I'm curious though, you mentioned Mu only wanted Shen dead, and didn't want any stone or stuff, so why exactly did she want him dead?
Also imo I actually don't think WeiLian is all that lovable in the series, they made him kinda chirpy and cute, but also weirdly inhumane in many ways
Hi! In the book, there are no stones. The dramateam had to add that because "vampires" are banned/censored. Another thing they censored is Japanese involvement (Mu is japanese, and Li Yingliang was so hated because he was Pro-Japanese.) However, the drama was already filmed before the censors, and they couldn't pass licensing due to the censorship, so the drama had to add the stones and change Mu and the villains motives to scientific experiement rather than Japs wanting to possess Vampire powers.
