very very interesting story. Every character is so nicely intertwined with the other, plus the curiosity of this place they are in! Very interesting. Too bad it ends with a cliffhanger. Hopefully there will be a season 2 announcement soon :) 8,5/10
Overall a quite satisfying ending. Well done! So season 2 was not as well done as season 1 but nonetheless one was always surprised with the twists and turns of each character. The only thing that bothered me was that some characters seemed to be so extremely happy although family members were still missing. I dont know how realistic that was....But apart from that well done 9/10
Second season was actually very interesting. Different to season 1 but definitely unique. There are still some extreme moments and one would still need a trigger warning even when its not to that extreme as season 1. Acting wise and also production is once again top notch. And I truly enjoyed the introduction of Yuri. Quite an interesting character. 9/10
This was quite the difficult drama to watch. Its disturbing, brutal and extreme. Somehow it is similar to Black Mirror, but instead of showing us what society could be, it portrays what society is. Its very hard to digest but then comes episode 13, the last 5 min. When the drama finally reveals what its message is meant to be. To some degree it tries to be a wake up call I guess? Either way acting and production wise its top notch. Just the story is truly hard to digest. Many trigger warnings 9/10
this was a very interesting crime c-drama! Acting wise it was top notch, also cinematography and music were very well done. The cases are gripping and interesting, they often make you end up being very surprised with the outcome. The only thing i sometimes felt was a bit too rushes was the final reveal of some cases. Oh and also the evil cliffhanger ending. That screams for a season 2 no? Otherwise well done 9/10

yes and yes. That is exactly what would have been perfect if they had gone a little more into the direction of this. The way they did it was not the most ideal one. Like I said previously there was great, absolute amazing potential to go right into this aspect but portray it in a way that benefited the general story more. The way they did it was throw you a bone but you had no idea what to do with that.
In terms of people changing: you dont truly have to do a lot. Small, minor aspects are enough to do so. You pointed out the reporter, granted thats a good example. I agree with you. But still I honestly wish we would have gotten more about these aspects.

There were a lot of good parts but nonetheless I missed the scientific aspect. That was more in depth with the book, since you did point that out. Sure. It is felt for me like I said, there is no reason for them being there. If you leave all three characters out of the story, do you think the outcome would be different? If you'd reduce their screening time and use a more subtile way to add their reasons for existing and instead use that time to focus more on the scientific aspect I think the drama would have benefited more. Either show less or show more. Maybe it got lost for me from the week to week viewing of the episodes but I did not notice much change internally nor externally (apart from episode 11 and 12 for the main lead) . Of course this is a purely subjective impression but nonetheless for me something was missing here.
A good drama but definitely not the best. It is not a bad drama and it will leave an impression for it being the first to show the establishment of profiling but it has many weaknesses. Especially when compared to other dramas like the US series "mindhunters" or Signal.
The drama revolves a lot around the scientific establishment of profiling in criminal investigations. However apart from the characters voicing how many they interviewed and them appearing in lectures we are not truly going into the scientific aspect of their research at all. I found that very refreshing that from episode 10 onwards where we could at least see a bit more of this. Nonetheless, it still has some scenes I dont know their purpose off. Like eg. the female reporter, the ml's mother and the story of the ml's partners family. Neither truly has added much to the plot. Its like they give you a fancy cake but the inside is empty. Lots of lost potential.
Then you also have the problem of aging. Honestly the show follows the same characters for around 10 years (+/-) and still they look the absolute same as day one with the same problems as day 1. You have stylists, you can make facial masks, anything that shows that people actually change a little over the course of these years, or that things went on in their lives that made their characters develop and change. But nothing was used apart from the incident in episode 10/11.
I would give it normally a 7 but I do think there are some really nice moments too. Like gaining the tragedy of these cases and showing that every killer used to be a victim. That was really well done. Also the acting was nicely done. Thus its a 8/10
It was not bad but it made not much sense either. Especially the reason for the female lead's imprisonment and then basically leaving the 2nd main girl all alone makes not much sense. thus 6,5/10
wow absolute powerful movie! Truly makes you aware once again that such brutal acts should never be forgotten and be a reminder for the future. 10/10 highly recommended
was an ok movie. The story is entertaining even when it is quite predictable. Sadly the effects for the ghosts were not truly done in a way to make it either scary or interesting. 7/10
