Now for that you have to watch Go Go Squid XD It is all thematized in that. But story cut short;
In the past Han Shang Yan and Appledog and Solo used to be a team and best friends. But the team fell apart because of the break up between Appledog and Solo, and Han Shang Yan could never forgive them for that.
Han Shang Yan and Appledog were however never romantically involved if you are wondering about that. Nor did they have any feelings for each other that went above friendship.

Alright where to start.
This was a nice story but it had many ups and downs. The beginning is interesting and you get an overall understanding of each character, but then the middle part. It makes no sense. Everything the female lead does is absolutely illogical. She appeared even more selfish than doing it out of good will since he is right with her not for once putting herself into his shoes.
Also we have a ton of scenes that are cut off in the middle where the viewer is left to interpretate how this could have gone from point A to point B.
The last3 episodes were well done again even and probably the best so far.
Character wise the focus was purely on the leads. The rest never evolved which was a shame since some truly interesting characters got introduced.
Music wise and also cinematographic it did however very well.
All in all 6,5/10

honestly I prefer Go Go Squid way more than this. Maybe this drama will improve in the next few episodes but so far it just doe not cut it.

so far i am more intrigued by the chemistry between the Ml's sister and Lee Jae Woon than by the main couples

There were some parts that were quite interesting but all in all the story was not build up in a way you would get lost into and get hooked.

This is an absolute gem. All the stories are so full of emotions, and at the same time the drama gives you such a happy feeling. Especially in recent times this is so very much needed. I have rarely enjoyed a drama so much as i have this one. Everything is perfection=> Acting, music, cinematographic and story.
However one has to add this is probably not something for people who are in their teens. A lot of the topics talked about are more problems and worries people face from their mid 20ties upwards
for me this was 10/10 ++++

Really good movie. I liked the dynamic between the 2 male leads. The action scenes were top notch, cinematographic and music as well

Guilt and competitions makes you doubt friendship. That is the bottom line of this very well done movie. It is very well done and the acting is superb. The story is deep and more a psychological production than a thriller. I really enjoyed this. It does however have a slow start and for that its not a full 10 but a 9,5/10

I have the same problem. The actress of this version is not bad but i truly preferred the Ai Qing from Go Go squid. Generally Go Go squid did a better job with storyline and topic and especially humor.
This version needs a lot of getting into.

not really. Some characters assume that someone else is in the mix but it is never the case and only a misunderstanding that is both absolutely funny and dramatic to watch. There is one storyline where you could argue they were unknowingly in the past a triangle but its not really the main focus of the drama nor is it very much talked about.
So bottom line: no love triangle

its nearly completely 1:1 the anime's first season's first few episodes. It's well done especially for an anime adaption. 9,5/10

I thought so too at first but then Solos daughter is the same age as she was in Go Go Squid.
And yes ....the change of industry is something i dont truly comprehend either

I'm confused. Did they change the age of the characters with the new actors too? Especially regarding Appledog and Solo. You really are at a better position if you have not watched Go Go Squid for this drama.

Gosh you truly end up disliking all characters apart from the female leads best friend. One is worse than the other. I do like that they pointed out falling out of love has man reasons and both parties are at fault but I still do not understand from episode 1 onwards the actions some took. 7,5/10 for me

this is sooooo good! There is more than just one couple or even one family. And all of them are absolutely amazing and entertaining to follow.
This drama is truly a gem so far

I truly enjoy the drama stage movies but they are mostly not available with subs, is there anywhere where they are all available with them?

I actually enjoyed this until the last 5 episodes. The story is funny and sweet, at times very fast phased and other times very cheesy too but since this is supposedly all taking place in a novel it makes a lot of sense why some scenes are this way. I truly found this all very logic and well executed. The only problem i had was how they let it all end. It never once said why the main character never doubted her experiences as just being something she had made up. She always was sure of the things she experienced being also experienced by the main guy. I did also not truly find it satisfying how the story of the other side characters were left open. And of course the question of why they even ended up in this place. The reason given in the drama is a bit too vage. Non the less it really is not a bad drama and the romance moments are golden.
