true true her character needs a little more depth but maybe that will come now

I really really enjoy this drama. I even think the romance gives it the special something that is needed. Sadly I do not think they really go all out with the Jaime character. I think there is a lot of potential so far only been scratched on but hey maybe that will come out in the next 8 episodes
all the other characters are well done. You can truly feel for their individual situation.....

Because the original drama is a japanese one from early 2000s.
And an anime is going to be released in the next weeks.

you need to give "Burning Ice" a try then. This is with the Qin Hao as lead and it is about a different arc of the same lead detective from Long Night. + much better than Long Night too ;)

It is a well developed case. Slow in the beginning, absolutely gripping in the end. The cinematographic was top notch, story is in the end very well though through.
I prefer Burning Ice more though. The characters in this drama are well developed but the police force, especially the character of Yan Liang, cannot compare to Burning Ice.

This was one of the best thriller/crime stories I have ever seen.

I thought the same. The only explanation I could come up with was that maybe he was a bit reflecting this onto himself .

Her first language is actually korean since she was only adopted at what? 7? 6? Depending on what her adopted parents offered her, she could always have had some studies in korean and felt more comfortable in that language than in english.
That did not truly bother me that much tbh.

What I found more weird was that she posted all the information on a window where all day long sun was shining onto XD Not a very smart idea but oh wello.

Just enjoy the drama XD. Both characters are quite interesting and play an important role.

nah. Its not. It is pretty decent so far.
It has some parts that make not much sense but what kind of drama does not?
Even with the plot-holes , I actually enjoy this a lot.

Watcher => very similar to Signal and the only drama that comes even somewhat close to the extreme amazement of Signal.

Hye Won might also have some powers.
She is 29 in the drama, the incident with the White Night kids happened in 1992. Meaning she could have been born around that time and have been exposed to whatever the other kids were exposed to.

yes I hope so too. flirty moments are fine but the moment the romance becomes the main focus instead of the mystery its not benefiting crime dramas. But what I fear even more is a love triangle thing.

Apparently the female lead role was supposed to go to a different actress who is similarish to the actress that plays now Jaime. They did not say who she was supposed to play though. But if we assume she was supposed to play Jaime then it seems likely that a flirty/romancy thing is gonna develop between her and Do Jung Woo.
I would actually prefer it to be Hye Won. That way it would not follow the cliche of same background/knowing each other since childhood/same trauma and so on. But Jaime and Jung Woo is more likely.
