A Thriller/Comedy with a touch of warmth short drama

This is by far one the best T-drama I've watched in years. It has a touch of comedy, thrilling adventures, warmth feeling and life lesson all in 12 episodes.

I watch this without any expectation and got me hooked from the 1st episode.
The writer of this drama did a great job in depicting each story in all of the episodes.
I love how the characters developments for all 3 main characters were portrayed nicely.
Every actors and actresses portrayed their character very well.
(SPOILER)
I’m surprise that Derek Chang can play a villain as he has that good boy look and often play a good character (boy next door kind).

I love how they made Pu Yi Yong (PYY) become more mature as the story progresses and how he mastered the skill he was given after waking from his coma skillfully. His empathy towards others made him to be a great person despite all the lack of education. He was deemed as hooligans because of this. But he was actually a great person.
As for Cao Guang Yan (CGY) and Chen Chu Ying (CCY), they both became his faithful companion and sidekick ready to defend him anytime.
PYY's mom and CGY's dad were hilarious and make the drama fun to watch too. (of course other side characters were good as well, too many to mention).

Here are some life lessons can be taken from this drama (and maybe apply it in real life):

1. “You are most important” (this is an advice PYY’s Dad gave at the last episode). Although many will interpret this as being selfish, I actually think the dad wants PYY to love himself despite all the weaknesses in his life. One’s compassion and empathy are not a weakness rather it’s a skill that many people lack these days. I love how wise the dad actually is despite his silly actions.

2. “Never give up” This is what I also get from all the “creatures” that PYY help through his writing. Although they are not human but their persistence help them to move on.

3. “Obsession holds others down” This is why most “creatures” PYY encounter existed. A human obsession can be a scary thing just like hatred and jealousy. People blinded from all of these often can’t see or appreciate the things they have in life and beside them.

If you still hesitate to watch, don’t… just go and watch it without expectation. You’ll enjoy it much more. Every episode keeps you on edge (like I did). I’m totally gonna miss this drama every Saturday. I’ve gone attached to Pu Yi Yong character. I will definitely rewatch this drama later on.

Hope there’ll be a second season although Taiwanese drama seldom do more than 1 season.

Wishing other fan of this drama enjoy the drama as much as I did. ^^

Speaking through worldless music

How do I start. Well .... those who like pianos, violins, etc and classical music will like this drama.
They really show some background story for the classical music (ie: Brahms of course).

Story line...well it was well made in my opinion.. the way the 2 main leads got close to each other and the process of it I'm enjoying it much. This drama kept me wanting monday & tuesday to come faster every week. Although I got frustrated towards the end (spoiler: as the 2 main leads broke up) but the ending is like icing on the cake.. very sweet yet warm.

Casts... the 2 main leads (Kim Min Jae & Park Eun Bin) were superb. Their chemistry is amazing. Almost wishing them to date for real :D.
Both of them portrayed their characters well.. the way they interpret the characters were amazing as well. I really like Song Ah's character here (similar to myself who always hold back and seldom express myself).
The rest of the casts were amazing. They portrayed their characters well.

Well they phrase "Let the music heals your soul"is true... in this drama let the classical pieces heals your heart.
I myself is a believer of talking through music is better than words.
I really like the piece Schumann - "Träumerei" where the character Kim Min Jae play every time. Hearing this piece of music really calms me.

Overall..its a good drama especially in this year 2020. Hope other can enjoy this drama like me.
I will surely re-watch this drama again later on.

"The person who spoke to me with music before words is right now speaking his heart to me with a wordless song." (this is my favorite phrase in the drama)

^^

This was another great Korean movie. It was packed with action and comedy. This movie really kept you on edge on your seat and glued your eyes to the screen.

I love how Jo Jung Suk always keep his quirky side whenever he played a character. He never disappoint me in comedy area. Really love him in dramas and movies. Yoonah was great as well... she was quite comedic here. Overall, I love their chemistry, although there is not much romance in this movie but how the two characters help each other was really great. Wish there is more story of their future together in the movie but well maybe the writers leave it to our own imagination. I like the way the story goes as the poisonous gas did not turn anyone into zombie or dead or any other. It was simply a poisonous gas. Guess the focus of this movie was how the 2 main characters survived.
The rest of the characters had their own unique way to make the whole movie fun to watch.
Oh.. love how they tell us in the end how the 2 main characters were saved from their fall (almost towards the credit scene if you see carefully *spoiler*, after Yoonah's character cut the rope, the both of them fell as the rope slipped away from the pipe but the end up on a blue-like tarp on the building and bounced back into the building being constructed).

Overall.. it was a fun and great movie to watch. I found myself cringe many times when the 2 main characters climb or jump from building to building.

Although I didn't get to watch it in cinema.. it was great to be able to stream it online. If you guys wanna watch.. here's the link :

First of all.. this movie is hard to find online with subs.. I was fortunate to watch on the plane for my long hour trip to SF.
This movie didn't even play in the theatre in my country.
I love this movie a lot... for someone who didn't really like melodrama this movie sure is very moving to me. The cast was brilliant... Jasper and Ivy's chemistry felt so real.
Of course its a remake from the korean movie with the same title.
Didn't guess the ending was that way.. but it really shows what true love really was. Tho her decision in the end was foolish.. but I guess its better than living without her other half.... (this kind of feeling is really hard to understand)
Storyline was very good.
Acting and casts were perfect.
Tears level... surely high.
Music... well if you understand Chinese,,, the wording of the main song is really moving and poetic.. it clearly describe the sadness of one's feeling.
Overall... I would give this movie a 9 star rating.. Will I be watching it again? well sure.. if I am able to find it subs online.
I really like Jasper Liu's acting as well as Ivy Chen's acting.. they never disappoint in their acting and movies/dramas...
Looking forward for their chance of working together again.
Hope those who will be watching this movie.. will enjoy it as much as I do.

This is by far one of the best Kdrama I've watched in the years of my life. It has a unique genre covering a story between God, the devil and human. It also covers about human's greed and selfishness. It's a pity this drama seems to be underrated.

I really enjoyed the story line. The writers are great (kudos to them) for writing the ending. It gave closure to the watchers (not many drama do this nowadays). I especially love the ending as the writers gave each characters a great ending, though not happily ever after kind of ending, but it sure won't leave you to your own imagination.
I really love Igyeong's character in this drama, she was so humble, kind-hearted and unselfish girl (which doesn't really existed in reality). There are some lessons you can get from this drama (some wise advise from Harip towards the end).
A big round of applause to the actors and actresses portraying the characters perfectly. To the point of that annoying Jung Ra-in (but got used to her towards the end as the writer made her to be good). The devil's character was portrayed perfectly evil (facial expressions, etc). It was an AMAZING casts. Thank you for the hard works into this drama.

Lastly, the musics... I guess.. the phrase "Let the music heals your soul" does really apply in this drama. I love all the musics in this drama. If you really like music, go listen to it. I may not understand Koreans nor did I read the songs translations but the music itself is pleasing to the ears. Some of the songs are already embedded in my brain and can't help to hum it every time I hear the melody.

Overall... if you really like drama.. this is a must watch... this drama is superb.
Hope my review helps...

Not So Ordinary Love Story

What is love? Different people has different opinion on what is love.

This short drama did give us a variety of love stories. Let it be from normal couples, married couple, BL & GL couples and even singles. Why I said single because loving yourself is also a form of love.

Although every episodes have their own story line, there's some updates on the next episodes from the couple/people on the earlier episodes. This is what I love from this short drama.
I've always been a fan of Taiwanese dramas and its hard to find good ones lately. Although there wasn't a lot of happy endings in this drama but every episodes ending did give me a good conclusion. But the last episodes ending was the best one as it gave closure to the whole drama.

Not forgetting the casts, if you're an avid fan of T-dramas, you'll find lots of veteran actresses and actor in this drama as well as the new ones and each of them did shined in their own way. Loving the casts and their acting.

The 3 best episodes for me were episodes 7,8 and 10. These 3 stories were different yet very interesting on its own.
But overall the 10 episodes were all good.
There were some cute lovey dovey scenes, there was sorrow, happiness and betrayal all mixed together in all the episodes.
I would say its a roller coaster of emotion yet fluttering.

Do watch this drama without any expectation and you're bound to enjoy it like I did. Give it a try. I hope this short review helps to convince you to watch it. Enjoy ^^

It's the thing called "FATE"

Lemme start by saying this is one of the best Kdrama I watched in 2023 by far.
It may not have the ending that most people want but I'll say its satisfactory.

The story was so engaging and interesting, it was filmed the way that we got sucked into the history of the main couple through dream. I guess the bits n pieces of the scenes the drama showed was very good and each dream continued on from the previous that we got to see the whole history itself towards the end.
I dunno how the webtoon unfold but the drama did grow on me a lot that I can't stop watching it.
Its good that they stopped at episodes 14 as any further would make it way too draggy.

Lets talk about the casts... They were all AMAZING. To the point that I started to hate the 2 villains (the historical father and the future one being possessed with).

I think Kim Young Dae (KYD) grew a lot throughout his acting. I've been watching him since he was in Penthouse and his growth and diversity amaze me. His portrayal on both characters (Jun-Oh and Do-Ha) (JO & DH) was very well implemented. I can tell which character he portrayed by just his gaze and voice (intense gaze and darker voice for DH) respectively. Also, the language they used in this drama (DH from historical era whilst JO from modern era).
I know there are people who still think he is not good enough but for me, he is damn good. (I love his acting in shooting star the best haha).
Hope to see him in a more diverse acting in his future project.

As for Pyo Ye Jin (PYJ) she grew from playing side roles to main one and she nailed it here. The way she portrayed Yong Hwa (YH) and Ri Ta (RT) character were very good. When she is acting as YH she has that cheerful and positive vibes and her voice was cheerful and a bit high. Whilst portraying RT character her voice as deeper and has that intense gaze and demeanor (as she need to take revenge and all). Would love to see her in more diverse role for her future drama. I sure become her fan through this drama.

As for the rest of the side characters and the second couple, they all nailed their part well. Especially the villains (I'm sorry I just hate seeing those 2 actor playing villains roles most times and my hatred grew even more in this drama, it showed how good they were being a villain. HAHA)
The producer did well in casting all the actors in this drama.

The ending was however satisfactory. I knew the main couple (DH & YH) will not have a happy ending but I was hoping they would though. But seeing the ending I think it was justified as they kept saying throughout the drama that they were not meant to be together in this life but were together to break the curse they were in for over 1500 years. But fate did bring them together again in I assume like 50 years later... overall viewers were given the hope that they will eventually together again.

I love how the writers did give some essence of DH in JO after the later woke up from his so called coma and finished his cancer treatment. (The way he spoke and a press con for his delayed movie). "People say disappointment in love makes one stronger. We're here today to cheer each other. I believe words of blessings will be more helpful than cursing, right?" as he said this, I really thought DH came back but then his goofy expression came back (tats JO character). But the way he said it and his demeanor really make me believe it was DH.

Overall it was a great drama with great CGI and story and casts.
I am quite satisfied with the ending and also do fit the whole story.

Again this is my opinion but putting asides other opinions do give this drama a try. It was good and engaging enough for viewer to anticipate the next episode.
Hope you'll enjoy this drama as much as I do. Happy watching ^^

A Must Watch Rom-com

This is the one drama that I anticipated a lot after watching the trailers.
After watching the drama, it was even better. Love it a lot.

Story line was simple but interesting, making me wanting to watch all the eps all the way. Of course not forgetting the eye candy we got in the drama.
I love how the writer makes woman independent, strong willed and not the typical damsel in distress. and annoying type. Whilst the man are quite the gentlemen despite their strong appearances.
Also loving how they really touch the bad/ugly side of entertainment industry (how 1 gossip/rumor can ruin a person, or how a big star acting up for having privileges, etc). This drama did really break the stereotype.

I have been noticing Yoo Teo for a while now. He is a great actor and really portrayed his character very well.
He can switch his characters and pesona in the drama easily (as he was portraying as an actor in the drama). Love seeing him be a lead actor. His other projects were great as well.
Anticipating his next project and hoping he'll get another lead actor role. Would love to see him in action movie/drama.

Kim Ji Hoon surprised me as well as he really portrayed his character well (breaking the stereotype of handsome actors). He was great in his other drama as well but by far this is my favorite one of his drama. Will also be anticipating his next project.

Both lead actresses (Kim Ok Bin and Go Won Hee) were absolutely amazing. one is and independent amazing woman whilst the other the great bff who acts and protects her friend very well. I like both actresses and have been watching some of their projects as well.

If you are looking for short break in your stressful life and needed a good laugh, then this drama is the best cure for you. You will be getting almost all genres in one drama.
Cute, entertaining, hilariously funny and touching too.
So start watching it now don't hesitate anymore.
I hope you'll get to enjoy it as much as I did.

This movie is long overdue for me to finished watching. But I finally finished watching it.

First of all... if you don't like a slow paced drama then turn away from this immediately.
This drama is quite slow in some of the episodes... but overall the stories are interconnecting to each other.. so if you skip some episode.. you gonna end up getting confused.

Story line was quite ok for me.. a bit slow but I get the point the writer was trying to show. It really shows how each characters grow throughout the series.
What I love about this show is probably the Jo-Dian Ming couple.. without them.. the drama is quite boring to be honest.
Although the main character is Nian Nian.. but I do find her a bit annoying and kinda selfish in away.
Why? well.. this is a spoiler so turn away if you don't wanna know.

Nian2 met with some difficulties both in her relationship, job and losing her father was the final blow to her. She became denial. Although she found peace at the end of the drama but was quite disappointing that she or rather the drama didn't really show her continuation of her relationship with Ryan.
I do agree with Nian2 on "American dream" as I had that when I was younger but sadly never get to realized it.

Jo and Dian Ming couple were very real for me.. what they faced through are real in our real life.. and both of them portrayed their characters well.. I thought Jo will be the wild and playgirl kind but instead she showed a caring and selfless lady. and meeting Dian Ming was the biggest turn in her life.

I love how Nian2's step mom is always cheerful and lively no matter what hardship she faced. She was a strong, caring and dedicated woman to her step daughter and husband.

The rest of the characters complete the drama.
For me.. it was indeed a slow paced drama.. but it kept me wondering what will happen next. Some scenes are really funny and entertaining. This drama also give me some understanding of Chinese culture in Taiwan (I'm a Chinese as well but not from Taiwan). Also I love how they gave explanation of the Taiwanese culture over there (food, musics, surrounding areas and many more).

Looking forward for the next projects for the 4 main characters in the movie.. hope they'll do another drama together again.
Cheers^^

This drama is very very dark... this is the darkest drama I've ever watched by far...Why? because of the plot twist towards the end... I suspected the main villain since episode 2 but had some doubts... but the last 2 episode was an eye opener... Hands up to Hsu Greg Han... he played his character very well... I was actually watching for Joseph Chang not knowing Hsu Greg Han was in it as well.

Story wise... well it was good... it gave us different point of views. Cinematography was really good... The casts were excellent.. all of them really fit the characters well... but I will not watch this again anytime soon.. its too dark and depressing for me at the end...

But to those who want to watch... well don't be discourage by the dark genre... try watching it...

*SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER* *SPOILER*
(continue reading if you want to, but you have been warned)

Although I was not really satisfied with the ending (Why did Joseph Chang's character had to die) and why is the main villain fate was left unknown.. (would love to know whether he was arrested or killed himself).
I actually didn't see it coming (the relationship between the main villain and the so called "brother" of him). This was the major plot twist in the whole story... man.. he was so evil.... can't help thinking.. how a person can be so evil and manipulative... *sigh*
And the little extra at the end of the last eps... was surprise to find out that all along.. the one who helped Joseph Chang's character was actually his own father (tho it was revealed at the very end).
Tho I'm glad the younger brother (Fu Xing) survived the whole ordeal (with full memory intact of what happened all along) and the lil boy survived as well.

Hope this review helps... Enjoy watching this mini series... ^^

The Cursed title itself already gave a thrilling vibes. I was skeptical watching this at first.. but as the episodes progressed, I came to like the drama despite the genre.. As a thriller fan... I love this kind of drama tho it scares me a little when So Jin did the "cursing" spell on people. I guess the music contributes a lot to it.

Story wise.. its really good as the story flows really smoothly. of course its not perfect... but its enough to keep u on edge every episodes. for me.. the best episode is when So Jin did the cursing to the shaman jin kyung. tat feels really satisfying... recalling all the appalling things she did on behalf of forest ceo.... another best is the ending eps... really good. So Jin sacrificed herself to save many others despite those people hatred that causes all of the ruckus.
12 eps is pretty short for drama like this but i guess if there's more eps, the story would be draggy.

Actors: Jeong Ji So really is super cool on her characters.. her expression everytime she did the cursing thingy is really expressive. such a talented young actress.. can't wait to see her in more drama/movies.. would love to see her on a normal school girl roles.
The shaman jin kyung really creeps me out on all eps.. so i guess she did well portraying it..
The rest of the casts are excellent too..
Sung Dong Il is really a good veteran actor... of course he did well..as expected of him... I kinda watched a lot of drama where there's Sung Dong II playing and he did a great job on his acting.
Overall... all the actors and actresses did really well on this drama.

I would love to see the ending where they show So Jin wake up from her coma and live a normal life... or maybe continue becoming a semi shaman who curses people? Who knows... maybe the writer leave the ending to the viewers. As for me.. I would love to see her live normally.

If you like horror/thriller drama.. you gotta watch this... I didn't dare to watch other same genres dramas... but this one.. really good and not as scary as you thought.
Enjoy... ^^

Well.. its a well known culture of "ghost marriage" but again.. this topic was taboo for some people...
Taiwanese drama really did produce some good one.. including this one.
Story wise was pretty engaging for me...
I actually watch this for Chris Wu as his acting was always great and he delivered his characters very well.. secondly... I was intrigued by the plot story (and it did not disappoint).
If you are afraid to watch this because of the horror tag.. well don't be.. its not scary at all... (I can't watch horror movies).

For me.. the Chris Wu and Huang Pei Jia portrayed their characters well and had great chemistry.. I wished they elaborate more of their romance in the drama..
As for the side characters.. well some are a bit stiff and annoying. But I have to give 2 thumbs up for the actor playing Tian Ching as he really delivered the characters very well.. hope to see him in more dramas/movies.
As for Tian Bai's well he was a bit stiff in some scenes...
The ending got me thinking.. was Er Lang mortal and experienced the same thing as Li Lan? or was there any other possibilities. Hope they'll make a season 2.

Story wise... well its different from your typical historical drama.. tho I don't really like historical settings but this drama was ok.. every episodes kept me curious that I want to quickly finish it and move on to the next one.
The settings, visual effects and details were pretty amazing (do not compare it to Hollywood or Korean or other countries movies). For me... this drama was great enough.

If you like different kind of genre other than rom com or action.. you should try watching this... quite refreshing and funny too,
Enjoy the drama!

A Light Yet Entertaining Rom-Com

First of all, watch this without any expectations.

I find this drama super enjoyable and fun to watch. Although there are parts of it that I'm not fond of but overall the story is engaging and make me want to keep on watching.
I know there's a lot of negativity towards the drama or the actors, but for me, the casts were perfect fit for their roles and the story was interesting enough for me to keep watching it despite my busy schedule (I really watched super late some days).

Ok first of all, Rowoon's acting really improved a lot, I probably love his acting here in this drama and will be my favourite. As he act as "Jang Sin Yu", I sometimes almost mistake it as his own character in real life (that's how impressive his acting to me is). He sure is not only just handsome and tall but his acting is on point. Hope he will keep improving as his acting career soars.

Well.. there's a lot of hate towards Jo Bo Ah acting. However, I don't really agree to it. For me, her acting is always good and on point. I've watched several of her dramas and movies and she did deliver and portrayed her characters very well. I will always root for her in dramas. Her acting as "Lee Hong Jo" was a great one (compare to her last drama where she played a tough character).

Of course, the one acting as villains were as good as the main one to the point I started to hate them every time they showed up on screen (LOL).
All the side characters were great as well. They were cute, funny, sometimes annoying but always fun to see them on screen.
Therefore, I think the producer and writer did really well casting all the actors & actresses befitting all the characters they portrayed. Good Job!!!

Story line, well how to I put it, its easy to follow not as complicated as it sounds. For me the story was very engaging and kept me on edge towards new eps.

In the end, it's back to your own preferences. As for me, I always try to watch several episodes before deciding whether to continue or not without being biased towards the comments. (There were some dramas that disappoint me that I either dropped it or hate it after finish watching it).

Oh one more thing, that all the of CGI they used here are very cool (especially the bloody hand that sometimes appears, it did gave me the creeps).

I do hope you will enjoy this drama as much as I do. Try watching a couple of eps and decide then.
Hope this review will help you . ^^

If you are a fan story about gambler.. then this is the movie for you.
I've been following the Tazza series (watched all 3 movies). This one is intense and a bit too cruel for me. Lots of bad people in the movie.
Story line was good not confusing and kept you on edge throughout.
Casts: Excellent casts... each character portrayed it very well.. (the devil one is really evil).
Actually was watching this for Park Jung Min. His acting is very good, he really convinced you that he is a Tazza.
Of course.. Lee Kwang Soo just add to the comedy throughout the movie.
And I love the ending....very subtle.. I love how they really gave a clean ending (after a short credit list).
Re-watch value: maybe not in the near future.. but if they play it on tv I would probably watch it again.
