REVIEW MOST COMPARING ANIME/MANGA VS J-DRAMA
This contains spoilers from the anime and the j-drama you can watch the 8 episodes on Amazon Prime Video.
The direction of this j-drama adaptation is very strange, adapt very well the season 1 of the anime (of some volumes of the manga) but when i comes to the season 2 (not aired when was filmed this) they decided to change the story, cutting a lot of things, put some lines and ideas from the original in the other ways, changed the play adaptation to an j-drama adaptation about "Tokyo Blade", which for me was the worst part compare to the original, but a the same time like in the season 2 (anime) there criticizes about how make a adaptation about a manga to an play/theather here they show about how the ratings are important in a j-drama when is aired, how they made episodes when are episodes being release on air, about what is important to the "important people" to have mothers watching that show, so yeah, the second part of this j-drama has an original tone a view, and i enjoyed to be honest, the first part was like the anime, the put "Sign wa B" in the first minute, so was like a tribute to the anime, they put more context in some scenes than the manga/anime didnt put. And the second part is going to continue with the Dark Ruby i guess, and the movie i dont know maybe is going to show all the skip from the past of Ai? i gonna make a update about the 2 episodes left in the next week.
Oh boy, Ai actress is so beautiful, ex-idol so perfect, i enjoyed so much seeing her, she was a very good Ai, I mean its not like the Ai of Rieri but, in a level is so good, you can have that explosion about "Hoshino Ai", well made. Aqua, well, in the anime Aqua was more dark and edgy, here is more like a mysterious guy, there is not so much deeper fukai like Aqua anime, i dont feel the edgy and the revenge that the Aqua wants in the first season/second season in the anime, but the acting is not bad, just is well look, Ruby.... meh, i mean is cute but not so much a impression for me, was like "oh, its ruby okay", i wanted the seiyuu to be the j-drama Ruby too but, no bad, the acting is well too, Kana, well the best character portrayed in this j-drama she was very unique and very Kana, the expression, the acting is so good, 11/10 this Kana is in the same level than the Han-san Kana, its so perfect, sasuga. 11/10. Akane... the most deception ever, the actress is not ugly, is cute but, i didnt feel Akane in her, the voice is too different (i understand that anime a j-drama are not same but) when needs to do a impression of Ai, it just didnt feel like when you watch that scene in anime, but the story of Akane in this j-drama was very well made, i enjoyed how the recreate the reality show using 16:19 in the reality show scenes, and how the change some scenes for the manga to be more catchy, was very funny. but Akane... is cute but, meh. Memcho, well Ano is a Memcho is IRL so, no more comments. The original song of BKomachi is so catchy too, is a good song i hope that the Bkomachi team in anime makes a cover of the song. The moment "あんたの推しの子になってやる" was well made too, Aqua dancing like the anime ver. Ah, i remember the babies talking in CG was so bad, plz fix that. And why is only 1080p? where is 4K HDR?
The episode 7 was like the second part and the final of the second season, putting more context in some scenes about the hospital and the place where Ruby and Aqua were born, i enjoyed more the dark Ruby in the anime version, cuz like in music video in anime you can see the difference in the eyes, here they tried to to the same (this was filmed before the anime was aired) so they were original at some level, the real father appears of Aqua and Ruby, in the anime was Miyano Mamoru here its a famous actor too, a very spoiler thing, cuz i dont readed the manga part since only i readed the volume 1, and where is the mysterious girl that appears in the anime in the place? that shows the body of the doctor to Ruby, here they did a very original way, i enjoyed so much, they put more context, that is something that i really like that j-drama at all, more context about the story, but they changes things, so its not like i dont like this version, i like both anime and j-drama, i prefer anime overall but, its not bad.
The episode 8, i didnt read so manga so for me its all new, very interesting, now more action about Kana, about being a Idol comparing to Ruby, Darkness Ruby acting, this was interesting, how Ruby wants to revenge too, How Aqua wants to save Kana and he reveals that him and Ruby are children of Ai. There a lot of things that i want to watch more, Now we can really see a Aqua acting Dark, my thoughts of this Aqua j-drama version is that here didnt have that edgy moment and poker face like the anime Aqua has, but in this episode 8 you can see all the edgy, so i liked, the story is becoming more interesting but the movie is released in japan in a few weeks, but not globally, so i need to wait 6 months? but i want to watch the third season of the anime too, AH MORE I WANT MORE.
