The drama features many themes and at first I was curious if they would be able to make me believe this world where ghosts exist. I was deeply immersed in the story and the world it built. The drama did a good job at establishing this world and had enough details and information to make the supernatural elements feel real and believable.

The mystery kept me on my edge till the end and the performances of the actors felt fitted to their roles. Kim Dong Wook proved himself as a good actor in other works before and his and the other's acting felt good and compelling. It's not easy to act something that doesn't have a real reference in life.
Those characters were humans with all their flaws and mistake and while one might judge some of their choices, this makes the characters feel more human in the end. The budding friendship and the bond of the three main characters was nice to watch and I'm so glad they drama stayed true to the characters by not forcing a conventional drama love line into it.

One of the reason that made this drama so good is also the music that contributed to the eery atmosphere and also gave a conflicted feeling of desperate and also hope at the same time. The songs were not overused and I never got tired of hearing them.

The drama was great and I would consider rewatching it in the future to let the story unfold in front of my eyes once again.

Thoughtful tale of self discovery

37 seconds centers around the life of Yuma, who has cerebral palsy. The story is very well written and touches many aspects of what it means to have a disability. Even though some happenings might seem over the top, the story still feels real and for the whole duration you're feeling with the main character. All the characters over different reactions to her disabilities and the director manages to showcase a positive movie that doesn't highlight the negativity of the disability and instead shows Yuma's journey to self discovery and independence.
The movie has its funny moments and touching ones as well. While the theme of erotic mangas might seem funny and weird, it's usage as a starting point for Yuma is well done.
The acting is very well and considering it is the first work of the lead actress, thanks to the script and production process, her character feels natural. The story was adjusted to the actress who has cerebral palsy in real life and contributed to the narrative of the movie by providing insides to her own experience.
I truly enjoyed the movie and can totally understand, why it won prices and the applause of the audience when it was first shown in a film festival.

The second part of Along With the Gods is even better than the first.
Even though lots of things are happening the movie manages to give every aspects enough room and time to manifest in front of our eyes. The story cast light on the guardians and doesn't waste time on things that were already established in the first movie.
All the cast are skilled in their craft and manage to conveye the emotiongs to the audience. Their acting works both in the funny and sad moments of the movie.
The production value, the costumes and the sets are fitting and the CGI is great in creating the fantasy world. While I was at parts overwhelmed by some stylistic choices and the fast pace in the first movie, here I truly enjoyed them.
While I truly enjoyed the story and also the superb acting that made those character come to life, I wonder how this movie appears to people who haven't seen the first installment. Therefore my overall rating is 9.5.

The director previously won an award for his short film and his first feature film follows suit with its strange story line and creative editing.
The movie is mainly from Hikari's point of view and as he is a big fan of retro video games the movie is structured like a game itself with the accompanying music that is so characteristic for those old games.
While the initial thought about the storyline would seem to be sad, the movie is full of humour and laughs. Acting wise some might find it hard to judge as the children are supposed to be emotionless.
The movie itself, the fast paced editing, the colorful set design and the music is addicting and make it an enjoyful ride that might have some emotional message hidden.

Since there is no review yet and I just watched this movie in cinema today, I want to share my experience. It was truly an intriguing and interesting piece.
The cinematography truly complemented the story of the movie. The shot showed how the actors were feeling and brought the issues more to life. E.g. the way the room was shot similar to the movie picture made the audience experience the tiny space and the music contributed effectively to this feeling.
The actor's performance was nuanced and fitted the characters, especially main actors Shawn Yue and Eric Tsang. Their acting felt real and you could see the struggle the characters had.
The story itself was told in a good way, only sometimes I wished the story would have spend more time on some characters and fleshed out their impact more.
Overall it was great movie experience and it also offered insight to some issues Hong Kong is facing nowadys, which is also interesting for foreigners like me.

Lost in its side stories

The movie has an interesting premise as how far the good can go to bring the evil to justice.
The cast is excellent in there roles and all a very fitting. From the goosebump inducing bad guy to the passionate prosecutor, everyone delivers and make it an interesting watch with intriguing characters.
Through all of this, the story suffers from side stories that fail to add something crucial to the overarching storyline. The time spent on the sub plots could have been used to shed more light on the inner thought process of the main characters and to deliver a satisfying ending that didn't feel out of the blue.
I don't remember much of the music and due to the abrupt ending that didn't gave me a conclusion, I rate this movie 7.5 out of 10. While I don't mind open endings, in this occasion too much was still lacking to let me put the movie behind and it made me wonder if a sequel is supposed to be following.

The premise of Are You Human Too was the thing that draw me to the drama as it would explore what it meant to be human.
But after a few epsiodes the bad writing became obvious to me. I guess I would have enjoyed it more if it was more character driven and would have fleshed out the characters more. What makes the evil guys be evil? I thought even with the unique premise did the story contain lots of clichees and overdone tropes that made the drama feel kind of old.
The acting was cute and fitted the drama and the robot did feel like a robot.
One part of the watching experience is also the music that goes along with the drama. I found the music to be pretty generic and at one point some songs got a bit annoying. K-Dramas have the tendency to overuse parts of their OST, especially the dramatic ones.
