I honestly don't know why I started watching Nodame Cantabile just because 1. I dont like classical music and 2. I didnt know who any of the cast was...

Story- It was hilarious but also inspiring. Other than that the plot is pretty ordinary.

Acting/Cast- The acting was perfect. Loved the entire cast because they fit their roles perfectly. I'm a new fan of Tamaki=D

Music- Wonderful score that matched the theme of the show. I wasn't interested in listening to the music outside of the show though. I do have more respect for classical music though after watching this.

Rewatch- Because it was so entertaining and I loved the cast I'd watch this every year.

Overall Nodame Cantabile is different but I'm glad I gave it a chance. Its one of the best J dramas out there. So watch it!

I don't read manga so I wasn't aware of Switch Girl but the premise seemed interesting enough...

Story- Really the story is nothing original and has been done many times before. Its a school drama with your average villains trying to mess with the leads throughout but becoming good by the end. However, I found it so funny, cute, and the romance was perfectly done (what I would like to see in more J dramas). My only complaint is that is was really too short. There's only 8 eps and thier barely a half hr long. I want more!

Acting/Cast- For the casting, I didnt know much about the lead actors beforehand, but they had awesome chemistry which made me invested in thier romance. I remember the guy that played Arata from Hana Kimi Remake. The impression he gave me right off the bat was he was HOT but not really memorable. In Switch Girl though, I really took notice of him! He was perfect as Arata. I cant wait to see him in more things. The actress who played Nika was soo good as being the switch girl. It was eery how she changed from being the popular school princess to being a nerdy looking slob at home. She convinced me well though.

Music- It was fun and silly when needed.

Rewatch- I could watch this many times over in a year because its short and really funny.

Overall Switch Girl is just a really sweet and fun watch.

So I past on this drama before when I was newer to dramas because I read a large amount of negative reviews and also the only person I knew in the cast was Han Chae Young and she wasn’t worth getting me to give it a chance. In the last couple months I've become familiar with Song Il Gook and even Han Go Eun. Recently I was looking to watch an intense drama so I decided to give the first episode a shot to see if it was bad as everyone was saying…

Story- I was surprised by how engrossed with the leads and the plot I was right from the start. I liked that the revenge started from the getgo and you didn’t have to wait for exciting things to happen. It remained engaging right up till the disappointing ending. There many plot wholes and I wanted a solid close to the romance. Speaking of this big romance that is suppose to make the main character change his ways, I wasn’t satisfied with the way they wrote it. The leads had few scenes together and they weren’t even that romantic. SIG’s character had more romantic scenes with the other 2 female lead characters. Even though the ending and the romance disappointed me, the writers did a great job of keeping me glued to the screen.

Acting- Song Il Gook’s character was a man of few words but his looks were definitely fitting of his character. He was really perfect as Michael King/Peter Pan/ Choi Kang Ta. Han Chae Young did a great job with what she was given. Towards the second half she had fewer and fewer scenes. They both had amazing chemistry though. The acting by the other main leads was perfect because their tortured characters were very believable. Han Go Eun was really really good. Some of the acting by supporting characters was questionable though..

Music- I really liked the score it heightened the scenes well. When it was suppose to be intense it was. The OST was good for the drama but not enough to listen to outside the show.

Rewatch- I would watch this again because it was an exciting watch but because I didn’t like the end I wont be watching it for a while.

Overall, this drama could have been better but I think its pretty good and definitely worth watching if you like exciting action dramas or if you’re a fan of Song Il Gook.

I don’t usually seek out Historicals but I promised I’d watch Jung Il Woo in anything after watching him in 49 Days…

Story- The first 7 episodes are filled with anticipation because this is where most of the plot is. I was glued to the screen and taking in everything that was happening. Then shortly after, this is when the plot started to slow down and the story becomes very predictable even till the end. Speaking of the end, the last episode was kind of a letdown because not only was it predictable but also the big showdown was just really a disappointment being very short and a blur. I did like the last part it was nice to see where everyone (who was still alive) was, later on in life.

Acting/Cast- As I said I started watching this because of JIW but was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the cast. All of the younger actors were perfectly casted and really carried the first part of the show.

When the older cast came on it was bitter sweet because I came to enjoy the younger cast’s performances but I was also excited to see how the older actors would portray the characters I came to be invested in. KSH was perfect as the King. He did an awesome job playing his cold yet soft when it came to Yeo Woo character. This was the first time I’ve seen Ha Ga In and let’s just say I don’t think Id like to see more from her. Her acting was just very strange. Her eyes looked like she was lost the whole time and her expressions were bland. Still although her performance was distracting at times she didn’t take a way from the credibility of the story. She didn’t have much chemistry with KSH. I just thought it was weird that Casting would cast someone who is way older than the male lead to play someone a lot younger than him. Does that make sense? Anyways, JIW was brilliant as always but his role is smaller than he deserves. I thought the rest of the cast did a good job bringing their characters to life. The villains were very believable.

Music- Lovely score, and the OST was beautiful. They fit so well and heightened the scenes.

Rewatch- Id wait to watch many years from now just because I wasn’t too invested in the romance (didn’t sense a chemistry btwn leads) and the story isn’t anything I have to see for a while.

Overall Moon Embraces the Sun was a good watch but it definitely could have been taken to the next level with a different actress as the lead and a little more happenings written within the plot. I don’t agree that this is one of the best dramas ever but its better than your average K drama. Oh yeah and its short for a historical which is a plus, so watch!

First, the actress that plays Rio is brilliant! She managed to capture the different sides to her character. She was able to play manipulative, brave, strong, insincere, and mean as well as sweet, weak, sincere, cute, lovable, and vulnerable. I thought the professor was quite cute in the way he was shy about his feelings for Rio. Although normally I would say its very strange for a romantic relationship to develop between a couple that is 18 years a part, the movie managed to convince me otherwise. I felt emotionally invested in these characters and wanted them to be together. I was satisfied with the ending. Overall this was a very heartbreaking but beautiful movie.

I watched half, gave up, then had it on hold for a really long time. Why you ask? Probably due to all the angst…

Story: In the first half, you get to see the relationship develop between the two leads. It’s very funny, sweet, and definitely romantic. Then about half way the tone changes, and there’s a time jump of 3 years. After that the rest of the drama is just filled with angst and conflict due to the female lead’s dad that building up to a lovely ending.

Acting/Cast: First time seeing the two leads. Wilber Pan is a good actor but there were plenty of times he overacted in his “dramatic” scenes. It became distracting because instead of feeling for him I just thought how he could have made the scene more real if he had a more subtle crying style. As for the lead actress, she was amazing! I was stunned how she could play this bratty heiress (I hated her character in the beginning) and later on change dramatically to the point where Im rooting for her and like her character more than the male lead. Her and Wilber had a really really good chemistry. I just wanted to mention the second lead actress did a horrible acting job and even though her character could come off as likable, the way the actress portrayed her was just awful. I really liked the second lead actor and his character. I also ended up liking the rest of the supporting characters.

Music: It was okay. Nothing that made me take notice.

Rewatch: I would watch this again because it had good pacing and a great ending.

Final Thoughts: If you like angsty romance dramas with amazing chemistry between the leads, then I would recommend Endless Love.

I was interested in watching this cause the premise sounded like fun and I'm a fan of both leads…

Story- I liked that the episodes went by fast. With that being said, the story at first is fun when it focused on the development of the main character from a gangster into a teacher. Then towards the second half it’s all about the fight over the kindergarten. This is where it started to lose my attention. Towards the last couple episodes I just had them playing in the background while doing other things. I did like the romance but it really was only a small part of the story. I liked the love triangle of the side teachers & the gangster boss. It has a sweet ending=)

Acting/ Cast- KJW & HJM were perfect as always. They had a good chemistry. I liked most of the supporting cast. The 4 main child actors were sooo cute and their characters were so funny!

Music- The type you’d find in an older drama. It fit the scenes well enough but I didn’t like it.

Rewatch- I liked the characters so I’d watch this again but not for a really long time cause the story wasn’t that memorable.

Overall Great Inheritance is really only a must see if you’re a fan of the leads.

Story- The pace of the show is good. Although the first couple eps may seem a little too slow for some. I wish they would have built the relationship more of Ada & Daichii even if it was their friendship. There was room for improvement. The ending was cute but a little disappointing. There needs to be a special!

Acting/Cast- the acting was good not spectacular, enough to carry the show. The supporting cast was helpful.

Music- I'm not one to really notice the OST unless Im able to get it in my head therefore being memorable so Id say this was an average OST.

Rewatch- Fun & entertaining makes this one to watch again.

Overall- Pretty good J drama that is entertaining.

Story- A romance drama with a touch of comedic/light moments to entertain you. The last couple of episodes are sad. The ending was short but sweet. Very touching drama.

Acting/Cast- Rainie & Mike He= beyond chemistry. The way they fight with each other is gold. Mike does great with his jealousy. He does pretty good when he has to be emotional. The supporting cast did great acting wise for a Taiwanese drama.

Music- Cool theme song. Otherwise average OST.

Overall- This drama has enough angst to keep you interested. A drama with Rainie & Mike He is a must watch. This drama also has a lot of similarities to Devil Beside you so if you loved that one you will surely like this.

I was bored and looking for a romcom cause ive seen all the best ones and I thought this one seemed different...

Story: Kind of have mixed feelings about it. It was very well written because it had a plot and at the same time kept the lightness of usual romcom fare. I also liked that the romance was very simple and straightforward. However I'll be honest and say that the antique crimes setting wasn't the most fascinating and often bored me. Cute simple ending.

Acting/Cast: Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Gun are already known to be talented actors but i just loved thier chemistry. It wasnt intense or anything but thier relationship felt very natural which matched the lightness of the drama (it didnt focus heavily on romance).

I thought it was interesting that Kim Jung Hwa played a supporting role when she started out playing main roles in dramas and movies. I dont know but her acting in this was just over the top. It really made her character annoying. I did think her side romance with the Chief was cute. Oh and I cant forget to mention Park Ki Woong who although only had a supporting role as KSA's brother, he managed to play a significant role by the end. He is just an amazing actor so it was nice to see him in this.

Music: Fit the drama but nothing too memorable.

Rewatch: I dont think this is something i have to see again.

Overall if you like light crime dramas then you'll enjoy this, but if your looking for something more engaging id say look elsewhere.

Short and sweet school dramas are right up my alley so I knew Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou would appeal to me, however I wasn’t too keen on the idea of an all idol cast…

Story: It’s a mix of Jdramas Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, and Life. So nothing original about it but still enjoyable. I liked the idea of the 2 gender groups coming together to stop outsiders from ruining their schools reputation and trying to get them to shut down. I was hoping for a little more on the romance front but maybe they’ll be closure to the pairings in the movie sequel version.

Acting/Cast: The acting in this was pretty much a joke. No seriously I laughed in scenes that were supposed to be serious. The 2 female lead actresses made their characters come off as fake, robotic and sometimes creepy. The 2 male lead actors were a little better but one overacted while another underacted. It was really distracting when there will be scenes with both female and male idol groups all in one room and then you get random idols have one liners when you really should be focusing on the 4 leads. I feel like I didn’t connect with any of the main characters because you don’t really get to know each one.

Music: I liked the “Shake it Baby” theme song cause it was really catchy and makes me wanna dance. The other song I assume is by the girl idols and it matched the teeny angsty scenes.

Rewatch: I doubt I’ll watch this again just because the acting was really distracting.

Overall this is a typical school idol drama so don’t go into it expecting much.

This wasn’t a Taiwanese drama that was on my radar just because im not usually into older woman/ younger man romances. I also wasn’t familiar with the leads so I didn’t think it was something I needed to watch. However, it was added to Dramafever and I was curious so I decided to give the first episode a try….

Story: So I have mixed feelings about it. The first 9 episodes were perfection in that I was eating up each episode because they were intense, funny, and unexpectedly addictive. I enjoyed watching the leads who were so different having to work together and solve the news cases. Then episode 10 happened and the writers changed the direction and added the ex boyfriend character into the mix. The show although well written (I never got bored), it became frustrating to watch, even making me have thoughts of dropping it(I wasn’t enjoying the drama anymore). I decided to stick it out because the leads had an amazing chemistry and I wanted to see them together again and by ep 19 I started to love this drama again. I really liked the ending cause it was fun and reminded me of the tone of the beginning episodes.

Acting/Cast: Like I said, I had never seen the main actors before so I didn’t expect much from them but from the first episode I felt their sizzling chemistry so I became interested in how they would be able to portray their characters. They did an awesome job of making me become attached to their characters and rooting for their relationship. The supporting cast did a good job with their characters but a lot of the characters were overacted/annoying.

Music: I liked the OST for this drama but not enough to give it a listen outside of watching.

Rewatch: Because I liked the characters in this, I would give it a second watch but not for a while cause it was frustrating to watch for almost half of the time.

Overall, the characters and the ending make My Queen a Taiwanese drama that is worth watching.

Who doesn’t love a good romcom with a bonus of Gong Yoo? That's what I was expecting but...

This movie claims to be a romantic comedy and I feel like they didn’t fufill that. It wasn’t that hilarious nor was there real romance. Sure there were subtle funny scenes here and there but nothing that will make you fall out of your seat. As for romance, the couple goes on “dates” but its not identified as dates and their relationship really doesn’t get explored much. The ending was open-ended which I didn’t like. Still, the movie has enough going on to keep you from getting bored.

A positive I found was the lead actors. Their acting was natural and they had good chemistry.

Because I liked the lead actors I wouldn’t mind seeing this again because it wasn’t horribly boring but its not something I have to see right away.

Overall this movie is forgettable although worth a watch once.

I came upon this drama only because I was a new Roy Chiu fan after watching him in Easy Fortune Happy Life. I had never watched a Mainland Chinese drama before so I was very hesitant because I can barely get through Taiwanese dramas…

Story- It’s very business oriented but has a lot of good light scenes thrown in here and there to keep it balanced. There are 2 romances. The first, is the romance between the main couple (Hu Ge & Tiffany Tang’s characters). The second, which is the sole reason I continued watching, is the romance between Roy Chiu & Stephy Qi’s characters. Their romance arc was sooo much fun to watch. Most of their scenes were funny and hot! I was kind of mad that they didn’t have a lot of scenes together though. I wish they took out all those boring meeting scenes and replaced them with more of Wei Xiao/Ye Rou! The synopsis hints to the fact that this is a sort of revenge drama but I thought it was kind of disappointing in that respect. It really only happens in the last 3 episodes but it was very quick and I was kind of confused with the outcome. I really liked the ending it was satisfying;)

Acting/Cast- I was really surprised by the acting. It was so much better than what I’ve seen in Taiwanese dramas. I liked that the characters were written with brains and are just very mature. I really thought the entire cast did a great job. The villains were villainy but I still felt sorry for them and didn’t want what was coming to them. The writers make you feel sympathetic for them.

Music- I really liked the score it fit the scenes beautifully. The OST was good but light.

Rewatch- I’d rewatch this again maybe 2 years from now.

Overall Unbeatable is a drama about overcoming whatever obstacles may come your way in both your professional and personal lives. I liked the life messages it sent out. If you ever feel like trying out a non historical mainland drama then I definitely would recommend this one.

Story- Not a lot happens outside of the couple learning to love eachother for real. There's not any real conflict. The ending was so cute though.

Acting- The two leads had a cute chemistry. They didn't have a lot of emotional scenes so I cant judge thier acting skills. I really hated Lee Da Hee in this. She plays an awful villian. Shes better in her comedic roles.

Music- Average cheesy OST

Rewatch Value- You could probably watch it again when your bored and if you finished watching all the best dramas.

Overall- Cute but forgettable drama.
