Found this Japanese jewel and was hooked right off,due to its sheer simplicity of telling a very full story of finding & knowing self. This series artfully deals with a middle-aged 40+ woman who is forced into a journey of finding herself and being comfortable in her own skin. The host of characters who travel with her are quirky yet loving making the entire cast delightful & engaging. This is not for anyone looking for murder, mayhem, romance, and backstabbing - but if you are looking to take a break and partake in something that feeds YOUR inner self, this would be a great break. Easy-going, simple, appropriate soundtrack and just left me feeling good & it's only 4eps. Good story telling does not always needs 16, 24, or 50episode to make an impact.

Finally a Cdrama that's well done - thank you! Finally, an mature storyline & great story!

Story: Divorce lawyers of opposing sides find the love spot as they both work though the bad luggage they acquired from previous relationships. Not a new storyline, just a well acted and directed story.

Actors: Main leads chemistry was simply delicious and heartfelt. The side actors (and their stories) were well matched and performed.

Music: well matched and placed

This drama might resonate with any viewer who has been through any major life events and survived to be better on the other side. The leads have magnetic chemistry which make this so delightful to watch.

Rewatch: 46eps is long to rewatch but I might hop around to view episodes to keep these characters and their journey as a reminder on some key life points on love, marriage, divorce and smiles. Well done drama.

I was intrigued from the onset with the bookstore. The actors, scenery, and pace is very watchable and soothing. This drama uses the unspoken dialogue as the dialogue. Thus the actors are filling in the spaces with their stories, lives and secrets. The bookstore business I the US is fading art yet this drama critically illustrates its importance in the lives of others. If you love books, mystery/treasure hunting and the voluminous quiet of a bookstore this is worth the watch.
Why watch? I confess, I own a bookstore ;) and yes we have all these kinds of characters enter our store&life;.

Looking for a quick Jdrama that's got lots of action, solid acting, and overall brilliant plot line? Go for this! Assassins - homelessness - family not always blood backdropped in the underbelly of Japan - yeah it's all in there. Starts off with 'dang' that just happened. With subsequent episodes giving the back story on each character and situation leading to the aforementioned points of assassins - homelessness - family.
If you're squishy about blood and real world happenings - do not watch! Stunning actors who unfolded the storyline with ease and fun. Music was fine, never got in way and complimented the series. Overall, Netflix offered a gem with this series for a mature viewer needing more than the standard fare with a compelling

If you're into tattoos - watch this for sure.

Interesting-funny storyline of introverted girl gets guy via a comic like secret tip self-help VHS. The actress was the focal point, detailing the self-exploration of what she wants & needs to connect humanely/lovingly with people, specifically MEN. The story background is in 70's color explosions & comical story boarding while weaving this tale about men - women and our relationships. For a more mature audience due to candid discussions of sex, love, ying/yang - basically foreplay of any relationship. Would I rewatch? Yes! One of those quirky films that keeps your attention, makes you laugh, and ponder relationships of your own...

Most important this was not extended, we bow to the overlords for not killing us. The drama overlords got wind OR just not enough snack or juice companies to advertise.
Story: what was the story? What were we to gather from all these stories moving parts. Too many moving parts, no value characters, and stuff that still has me perplexed. Key point: No character development at all for 90% of characters!
Acting: not infuriate reviewers. FL has minor acting improvement from previous roles however she was perfect for this airhead role - no acting stretch required or needed. ML has a swagger, smexiness, and carried the FL. Admittedly, the combo was sizzling chemistry. The rest of cast were flat and uninteresting.
Music: ML song was decent
RW: please don’t ask me to do this!
Beware don’t get sucked in by the leads chemistry, it sizzles! It keeps you coming back. This could have been a 18eps of sizzling chemistry and solid story rather than 45eps of musical chairs and delving into the rabbit hole only to find slime.

If you are looking for a complicated dangerous liaison & appreciate the art love, then this is for you. The king_JJM is a deadly handsome lover who serves his favors for only men, specifically JIS who was groomed to be his lover since childhood. The trick for the king, is getting a heir from the sitting queen, while thwarting coups & maintaining his lover. The bottom-line finding the right person to serve the queen, why not the lover - you know how this ends... Groomed to love a man VS getting a taste of honey...
This is not for those who are intimidated-shy with well-done nude love scenes and these actors did a very convincing job in all aspects - not too many and not too explicit, remember this is about making babies & lusty love for this triangle. This movie reminded me of a chess piece roles... Pawn helps/loved King; King loves Pawn; Pawn services Queen; King alone & in love; Queen loves Pawn; Pawn is always sacrificed. Would I watch again? Probably not, too many more to discover.

This drama is all about 2 key things 1)Love & learning how to love 2) growing up to become person you need to be, confidently. The subject was sensitive YET handled deftly by the GHJ & GY and cast who portray degrees of a relationships & shades of love. Lots of tears shed while watching with many of the sub-stories impacting youths, family, and schools and the yearning love of the GY...Funny, so many times we get caught viewing today though regrets glasses we cannot look ahead to see the things facing us cause we are wearing the wrong glasses. GREAT drama for all who love good story telling, electric chemistry, well placed sound-tracks or having GHJ - MSun withdrawal. Just get some tissues ready, you will cry...

Modern youths engaged and steeped in Kabuki tradition is the backdrop of this Jdrama. The actors were strong, the storyline is directionally solid even with the accompaniment of the standard poor girl who helps a boy, father and family grow-up & a love triangle, all which works well together. The costumes & pageantry of this theater backdrop was compelling,& educational. The most fascinating aspect, was to see young adults (YA) who are holding fast to their important rituals that define their culture. These YA were dedicated (for some obsessively) to their painstaking yet stunning art - most impressive. Each episode is full of rich dialog, kabuki practices and segments of a performance (nicely & tastefully debriefed by the family caretaker to explain to all of us non-Kabuki theater folks). Well done finale nothing too over the top, just solid closure on relationships. Enjoyed this series!

After seeing many of my fellow MDL checking this lakorn, I decide to dive in. If you have a sister or twin you REALLY like or not like this series is for you. You can speed watch, since the prologs due a fine job of recapping prev eps.
Summary: Evil lost sister + innocent sister + rich naive man + lots of B-slapping, killing, cons and lies + lots of snarky evil grins& tears + some cheesy acting =perfect lakorn petri dish.

Easy & touching movie. Not sure the above synopsis gives this movie a chance. Snotty girl(mistress) gets prego by rich man; rich man sends her to US to live in a birthing home. Snotty get slapped with reality, a nice man - Frank stays by her side. This movie focused the birthing homes & growing up. Give this one a chance its worth it!

Just marathon-ed this epic tale and was entertained by each episode. Strong story of an important woman in history & Korean history who was gifted beyond her time. Her tenacity, intelligence and wit was uncommon at that time period (still not a favorite today in some lands) to move a nation and gender forward. This movie would be an excellent viewing for the costumes, scenery, and historical nuggets and needs to be extra-recommended during Women's month as a reminder of women who helped form a culture when women were basically considered playthings by either profession or birth. The lead actress did a brilliant acting job in this mentally & physically demanding historical figure role convincing viewers that she was JinYi. The only downside, you will find yourself tearing up - beside that, this is well worth the investment of time and thought

3M - S2 is the Best of 3M series for 3 reasons.
1 - story is uncomplicated yet enough twists, slaps and written to keep you watching
2 - the two leads chemistry was felt with the male lead - Chakrit being my main rationale for watching. He's got smexy down! Worth the watch for his smile...
3 - it's visually an awesome setting -beaches, water, Chakrit, boats, gambling, bad guy Vs guy, & non-glam attire for a lakorn.

Point that annoyed: Margie role was "shrewish" for interacting with a mature man, and not an adult mindset. To the point, she was like a rebellious loud mouth child talking to other kids. Sorry girlie, you are dealing with a man now...

This lakorn will get you hooked on the many waiting to be watched.... get ready to swoon.

Had fun riding the Gunnie & Mi roller coaster to love. This version of the Taiwanese drama was hands down grossly improved by the actors & onscreen chemistry. The humor, chemistry and story made this an easy to get hooked on and felt right for end of summer drama. Did the storyline change from the Tw version - not much... the comedy portions were endearing to the plot and not overplayed. For me the soundtrack was mesmerizing and well placed throughout the drama. The most poignant track, were the touching instrumentals played at heartfelt moments serving to heighten the moments at hand. The ending was nicely summed up and overall was the right length - no more -no less. Interesting that the two end of summer dramas are dealing with mental & family issues - life goes on. As a final note, the two leads looked like they had fun doing this drama, resulting in magnetic chemistry heartfelt through the screen, coupled with the remaining cast who just made you smile every episode. Well done and lots of HAMO HAMO!

Story: interesting yet classical divine gods having spats over women and power. With standard evil women -mothers
Actors: female lead stayed doofus - silly so long she became tiresome. So little character development. Seems she is typecast for silly doofus roles. Seriously aggravating. Two male leads, great casting and delivery.
Overall: the length of the silly JM blissfully bobbing through was a major distraction. The meat of the story gets fleshed out around eps54 -60, with the last couple eps as "really" writers, you want to stretch this more? For the life of me, trying to see why this drama is so highly rated. Okay at best - the main lead just wore thin. 40eps could handle this storyline.
