What's inside is important

Was hopeful going in with a plus size actor, not bad cast, everyone acted decently. Short story.
I do wish plus size folks were not usually shown as unhappy and hateful as they did. And that's just my personal opinion. (Based on the amount of media we have portraying it this way.) The ending was VERY short, and was not what I expected and felt almost incomplete. While there was some issues it was not bad to watch through. I was happy for character growth, especially Umine's mom! Produced well and flowed smoothly until the last episode. I will check out what these actors have also done since this show

Melancholy love.

Ive never seen any of the director's other films, I saw a small snippet somewhere online and really wanted to watch it. I love that it's BL but not focused on it as the center story, it's mostly somber and sad, with a nice ending. The way it was filmed makes you feel very present. I didn't like however, the weird very fast sped up film; and then suddenly it's super slow/choppy frames (It's on purpose) that gives the impression your computer or internet are loading really slow. Not for me personally.

The actors were all great. I really felt for the Main guy. I sit here now left with.. this weird.. almost heartbroken feeling myself. You always deserve better in this situation. You can heal. I feel this film can leave a lasting impression on you.

Glorifying bad mothers

I'd rate 0, but I pity gave it a 1 star because the cinematography was really well done. And the acting was not bad. But knowing 'moms', and myself having to help raise a child that had a mom like this.. this entire movie, two hours, of showing these 'deep' awful story of this worse off mom. I feel no pity at all for her. Mental illness's yes, but that's no excuse for any of this. Even for a movie/story.
Why does the social worker not call the police during the physical abuse? Why is NOBODY really helping? It's a bit drab for all the men finding the family to just suddenly go, 'Hey yeah I wanna do this not stable and terrible mother!' Seriously? Even the good natured construction guy? It felt so forced and not in character.
It almost felt traumatic for my husband and I to watch. It's not worth watching. There is no good in this film. It's 2021 and we're tired. I don't want to relive traumatic memories for the sake of a story or to give some sort of deep meaning. (Spoilers. It's a sh*tty mom who never gets into any trouble or any repercussions from her actions for the entire duration.)

I was hoping this movie would have gone differently, maybe even at least informative about abuse situations. But it's not. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Decent reality TV with misogony issues

Loved to see all the different body types on the show, from slim track stars to SUPER beefy heavyweights! Female presenting were also on, and I was so excited until from the very first episode it is just constantly, deeply ingrained misogynistic attitudes. Matches with 1v1 were decent to see. I heard working through this show was dangerous and a few people got hurt, I noticed especially during a later episode it felt they were pushing themselves too hard. I got very worried for them!
Im taking away points for not having precautions and better safety with over-working their bodies to the point of possible damage and the way the women were treated.

Cute mediocre short drama! Kudos to filming during a pandemic

The last two episodes are... a whiplash of emotions that I didn't find greatly enjoyable. It's a cute, lighthearted K-drama showcasing a lot of mental illnesses, and domestic abuse. One of my favourite characters is Samantha, I was very worried with the first scenes (especially the older women's comments) but turned out alright.
The way it was filmed was cool, to make it seem 'intimate' even though for COVID restrictions they were standing and being quite far apart the whole duration of this drama. Which is not a bad thing! Seeing how to film through a pandemic is why I would recommend this. Even if I didn't personally agree with the ending, or how certain things were handled it has it's moments.

Representation matters. More Autism, more minorities, this is a good direction for k-drama's to be going.
Character development happening for some support roles.. at the last few episodes, wasn't super fond of that. Story was so slow but got so rushed, that matched with the timing of certain character developments marks it down for us. A personal gripe of mine is hiring actual Autistic folk to play the roles (Which can be done, and has been done in other movies and series.) A decent K-drama overall. Cute, good chemistry with the cast, great whale facts, and even with dark themes it always returned to a light-hearted day-to-day.

I would also really like meat noodles now.

Exaggerated and comedic

It matched the genre at the time, but it hasn't held up particularly well over time. Fully knowing this will be ridiculous, it's still enjoyable to watch! Since this plot and romance would not be watchable if it took itself too seriously, it was refreshing that it was so dramatized (to me personally haha)
It's short and sweet in the sense that the episodes pass quickly, and I was laughing a lot. The ending song was very catchy, but I don't think it's worth seeing again. I didn't anticipate seeing Bora either!
