In last arc of TBOY Su Changhe allowed Prince Chi to turn disciples of Dark River into medicine men which basically meant that they would be like puppets who will become extremely strong for short period of time and then die miserably. He kept it secret from SMY because he knew SMY would never agree. When SMY came to know about it he realised that SCH is not taking Dark River to light but is pushing it further into darkness because of his own greed and ambitions.
I think that when SMY said in previous episodes that SCH's greed would one day drown everyone with him he was actually right.

I don't think that's the reason SuMuyu killed SCH because if you have watched TBOY it was there in it why he killed him. I'll put it under spoiler tag why I think SMY killed SCH there if you want to read.
I haven't read complete novel for blood river just some initial chapters but the blood of youth's novel has I think 300+ chapters but chapters are short. It took me 2 and half day to complete the novel.
Why doesnt they use same guy that plays mu yu from blood of youth or dashing youth?
Because all three dramas show Su Muyu in different stages of his life. Muyu in start of dashing youth is still young and inexperienced who don't know all these complex secrets of organisation so played by a younger actor while Muyu at the start of TBOY is already 28 years old having experienced a lot of tragedies and disappointments in life so he has matured quite alot and is more realistic (my favourite version of Su Muyu) so played by an actor who can show this change while here Su Muyu have to go from young Su Muyu to the matured one so played by an actor in between both age groups.
There are many years of gaps between all these dramas and Su Muyu have gone through a lot of changes during these years so it might have been difficult for a single actor to show all these emotions.

What!!! Muyu was boring for you guys? For me in both of the previous dramas he was the most interesting and mysterious character. I have always wanted to see more of his story.
