In novel Su Muyu was said to be as powerful as a sword diety and fought Li Hanyi to a draw. Later in fight between Lou Qingyang and Wushuang he was ready to fight Lou Qingyang when he tried to harm little Wushuang but ML stepped in before him. So, yes he is quite powerful but Xiao Se in BOY defeated Lou Qingyang so we can't be sure who is more powerful.

Although Blood of Youth is really good one of my favourite Chinese drama but after reading novel I found out they didn't do character of Su MuYu justice. In novel Su Muyu was described to be as strong as a sword deity who is on par with Li Hanyi and Sikong Chanfeng. In fight with li hanyi he fought to a draw. He was even ready to duel Solitary sword diety Lou Qingyang to protect wushuang(not shown in drama).

You are not wrong for expecting Su MuYu as an assassin to be cold and ruthless but Su Muyu is not like typical assassin characters. Despite being a killer he is even more gentleman and righteous than most of our daily life righteous male leads.

Rundu arc is my favorite one among all the arcs but I might not remember the details clearly since it's been some time since I read the novel. In this arc news of enemy besieging the city of rundu spreads but no one takes it seriously since He Rufei along with his army is stationed nearby and everyone suppose that he will help even the one in charge of rundu is at peace since Feihong General has once helped him protect the city but He Yan knows that He Rufei will not help city of rundu and asks Xiao Jue to send troops there. Xiao Jue asks He Yan for reason which she can't provide so he refuses to help since rundu is far from their camp. He Yan along with his gang run away from camp and sets off to rundu ( emperor gives him a title which is mostly useless but she can go here and there). Upon arrival in rundu the condition there is dire everyone is dying from hunger with almost no weapons left in the city but cheif there is still sure He Rufei will come to their help but He Yan somehow convinces him to ambush the enemy

He Yan asks everyone in the city to make straw man and lower them down the city wall which to enemy seems like they are real men and they fires arrows at them countlessly. In this way rundu army collects thousands of arrows that stuck to those fake men by the time enemy realizes their strategy. After enemy stops showering them with arrows He Yan with some soldiers go down the city wall hoping enemy won't fire arrows and succeeds in going out of the city. Later at night He Yan burns the granaries of opposite side and imitate Feihong General so that the enemy won't attack for some time. She also saves some captured women.
Even though He Yan delays the enemy for days but famine in the city is so severe that people have eating everything except humans and the chief of the city now wants to convince others for cannibalism, he even kills one of his beloved concubine for this and is trying to force women He Yan saved previously to suicide for army. He Yan stops him at correct time but he tries to imprison He Yan. At this time another general Yan He arrives in the city of rundu with his troops and saves He Yan ( since He Yan knew He Rufei won't be coming so she wrote to Yan He who was stationed bit farther ) and shortly later Xiao Jue also arrives.

He Yan was so cool in fighting scenes specially when she put knock out drops in lei hou's mouth in prison, the way she handled that whip was 🔥 Everything about He Yan is so cool if I mention each and every thing here it'll be quite a long paragraph like the way she tied her wound and continued fighting I can only imagine how cool her fights as a general would have been.
My heart breaks for Xiao Jue he must be feeling so guilty for all those people who died in Que city, it must be eating him from inside all the time. Good thing that He Yan can understand his circumstances and was able to comfort him ❤️
I never knew applying medicine can be so romantic 🌹 chemistry is flowing out of screen.
Xiao Jue you never let go of a chance chance to tease He Yan do you 🤣 Cheng Lei is so good at portraying Xiao Jue considering Xiao Jue's character Cheng Lei can't give big reactions but subtle movements of his eyes and mouth can deliver all of Xiao Jue's emotions. I can't believe how people are saying he is stiff good acting doesn't always mean giving big reactions plus Xiao Jue and Gong Shangjue's characters are not similar at all both characters being cold doesn't mean they are similar.

Lastly I can't understand some people here no offence I am just curious if I don't like a drama I will just drop it and never look in it's direction again but some people here actively watches the drama then conclude they don't like it comes here to nitpick but doesn't stop watching it instead they go watch next episodes doesn't like it again and comes to spoil the experience for others.
While watching ongoing drama reading comments is my favourite part but here whenever I come to read comments I see tons of people comment about some irrelevant things and foils my mood. Okk we get it that you can't see He Yan as a mighty general so please just stop watching it instead of commenting same thing again and again. We are almost halfway through and some people are still stuck there when Zhou Ye has proved herself again and again.
All those who have been saying that FL hides behind the ML and has been relying on him you better watch todays episodes with your eyes open widely and see how she fights her enemies and defeat them. If you still can't see it better get your eyes checked. Getting your brains checked would be good too 😂.
